the current version of the ChatGPT macOS app does not yet have the full multimodal capabilities of GPT-4o, such as the new audio and video features. It only has the usual text and visual abilities.
I like the way you show your screen as you explain the features. Makes it easy to understand and follow alone. Very helpful to us new to this technology!
I know that they are still rolling out the features. They still didn't roll out even the new text capabilities right? Or the text capabilities are the same as GPT-4? Besides that, they still have to make the new image interpretation available. Am i correct?
Hi @joaoaugustodomingues719, You’re spot on! They’re still in the process of rolling out the new features. The text capabilities are pretty much the same as GPT-4 for now, but we can expect some exciting updates soon, including new image interpretation capabilities. Thanks for keeping up and for your comment!
@@AI.MattEspo yess, but the announced rolling out features right now include only image interpretation and the call, video, realisti c emotional voice features? Or they are rolling out a new text capability not yet implemented?
You’re right, they are still rolling out the new features. Currently, the focus is on the image interpretation, voice, and video capabilities. The text capabilities of GPT-4o remain largely similar to those of GPT-4 for now. Here’s a breakdown: Text Capabilities: No significant updates beyond what was available in GPT-4. Image Interpretation: This is part of the current rollout. You can upload images and ask questions about them, utilizing the advanced vision capabilities of GPT-4o. Voice Features: Enhanced real-time voice interaction capabilities are being introduced, starting with Plus and Team users, and will be available to free users soon. Video Features: These are planned for future rollout but are not yet widely available. So, no new text capabilities have been rolled out yet
Haha, well spotted, @ai-magination666! Guess my email wanted to make a cameo in the video 🤦♂️. I’ll have to remind it to stay off-camera next time. Thanks for the heads up and for watching!
FYI Guys: They're using the much smaller MacOS market to test the App, then when its ready will expand it to the masses by creating the Windows version.
Hi @WillyCash69, Great point! They are indeed testing the waters with the macOS market before rolling it out to the larger Windows audience. Hopefully, it means we’ll get a more polished app when it hits Windows later this year. Thanks for the insight and for watching!
Hi @mmoreira2000, OpenAI has announced plans to release a Windows version later this year, likely in November. In the meantime, you can still use GPT-4o through the web-based version or Mobile! Mobile can use all the features. Stay tuned for updates!
Hi @rothaabarth2317, You bring up an important concern. It’s always a good idea to be cautious with personal data. OpenAI has been working on improving privacy and security, but it’s essential to stay informed and use discretion. Thanks for the feedback and for watching!

Hi @beniscatus6321, You're right! GPT-4o still has some room for improvement when it comes to multi-word anagrams. Hopefully, they'll level up its wordplay skills in future updates. In the meantime, it's still a pretty handy tool for a lot of other tasks. Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
Great overview, easy to watch and listen to

This could mean apple partnered with openAi instead of Google😂

Yes I did! Oh my gosh, embarrassing
The features are cool but man - I would not put anything with personal data (like a pdf contract) into chat gpt. Its all being saved
