I saw the pilot also and it was great. Melissa is both beautiful and cute( like the girl next door). Anyway I'm excited to see this show.so up up and away
I just love this show. I dont see why some people hate it. Like if you look in the comics you're like "Ok yeah, thats Supergirl" but you take one split second look at Melissa and you're like "That is Supergirl". Like every character has that one actor who portrays them and that actor just improves the character so much. Melissa Benoist does this with Kara Zor-El. A good Example Would Be Lynda carter and Wonder Woman. The costume is perfect. It honestly looks better and extremely less cheesy than it would if the S symbol had been filled in with yellow. Just the red outline on top of the dark blue is absolutely perfect. And the supporting characters. Cat Grant is out of this world, Alex is tough, And Astra... even though she doesnt exist in the comics, I still believe that Supergirl does have an Aunt, CBS Series or not. Astra In-Ze is my most favorite villain in the series. Laura plays her so good. and just the way Laura Benanti's physical appearance goes so well with Astra's Personality, wow. And Winn is so sexy. the way he is portrayed as a nerd is even cuter. The only complaint, and I mean the ONLY complaint I have with this series is just one simple article of clothing. The tights. The skirt and top, pefect. boots, perfect. Nude-colored tights under red skirt, Not perfect. But thats just me nitpicking. Everything else is completely perfect
+Merman Chris - I think a lot of them are just adolescent fanboys frightened by a woman with power. Or Marvel fanboy/girls who troll everything related to DC comics. Notice how they always bring up Jessica Jones. Just consider the source.
+Dennis Bowers That is a good point I never thought of. Jessica=Marvel=their trolls hating DC. That is why this series won the PCA despite all the "troll" reviews online...the silent majority chose and chose well.
+gwx11 -- Most professional reviewer, people who watch TVs and movies for a living, love Supergirl. I hardly ever see a bad review for Supergirl from any of them, unlike Gotham, for example, where half of them regularly tear Gotham apart.
you'd be surprised at how many people think the show is "cheesy feminism" and "Girl power" like its not but while the show could improve like not just having Supergirl go up against one villain every episode like you know why don't they do stuff like make it slightly realistic you know Kara cant just up and leave work and return from a fight while her boss naively sits there wondering where tf she is. but that's pretty much it.
+Merman Chris: I have seen all those negative reviews about the feminism. I do not know what gets to those people over a TV series. You have ability to think, so just don't let that feminism get to you if you hate it so much and enjoy a great TV show. The other reasons are its not 100% faithful to the comics and picking over little details, whatever. The realism aspect...I personally do not mind it because it is a TV show, not real life. Even though (SPOILERS for those not past EP 9)... ...Supergirl's boss no longer suspects Kara, she might suspect again with her missing so much work. Plus, Kara sits right outside Cat's office as her assistant. The other thing I don't get with the girl power criticism is: I hope those negative reviewers don't play games like Resident Evil/Tomb Raider. Makes them a bit hypocrite to say Jill Valentine and Lara Croft are awesome for showing off girl power, but Supergirl can't do the same.
I'm not a massive fan of Superman or his "world", but I'm actually looking forward to this show. I enjoyed the pilot, it had some problems but they can be easily fixed.
+TheAnomalousBiff --- If Buffy could fly, shoot fire out of her eyes, see through walls, put out fires with freeze breath. Just giving you a hard time, I get what you are saying. :)
Well, if the meant that they would portray Supergirl like she is in the comics they failed. In the comics she is not just girl superman. She is her own character. She is a warrior, she doesn't try to talk with bad guys like superman. She punches first, asks questions later. She lives for fighting. And she is also an outsider. She wasn't raised on earth. She doesn't have the same love for humans as Clark does. Sometimes she even wonders if humans are worth saving. She has this rage in her. She supresses her emotions so much that when she bursts, the destruction is insane
if only this show was a little more well funded then they could've improved on some of the mediocre SFX which is really one the few drawbacks of the show.
+rusty_frame -- No TV show can afford to blow hundreds of millions of dollars and take months to create like a movie can. They aren't going to spend a lot of money on something only a few million people will watch.
sadly, the writers already let me down in season 3. If it wasn't for the amazing cast, I would have already stopped watching mid season 3 because of the shitty storyline :( hope it gets better in season 4
You already did! Could have at the very least got a $10 bottle of blonde hair dye and keep closer to Supergirl source material, another Earth crap is stupid... what is it Earth 38?!?
I'm not a massive fan of Superman or his "world", but I'm actually looking forward to this show. I enjoyed the pilot, it had some problems but they can be easily fixed.
I really enjoyed the pilot and Melissa is such a sweetheart, you just wish her the best in everything.
the pilot sucked
Xavier Allende You may think it did but I enjoyed it and I'm loving the rest of the series so far.
+Xavier Allende -- Well, you're a young dude, so that probably explains it.
Yes it was pretty good, and season 2 was even way better than season 1
No it does not if you dont like it that means you are not a fan
I saw the pilot also and it was great. Melissa is both beautiful and cute( like the girl next door). Anyway I'm excited to see this show.so up up and away

supergirl the world needs you to fly. Melissa is stunning and the perfect actress for the part. Can't wait for the October premier

The cast and the characters and the entire show is so amazing and fun to watch on the CW every Monday night:)
I'm so looking forward to this show.
I love it and those who don't don't understand the true meaning of fun😂
I'm not a massive fan of Superman or his "world", but I'm actually looking forward to this show. I enjoyed the pilot, it had some problems but they can be easily fixed.
Season 1 and 2 are amazing but after that... Let's just say I'm watching for the amazing cast.
Gotta say, sounds a lot like Buffy, the show might be really good.
+TheAnomalousBiff --- If Buffy could fly, shoot fire out of her eyes, see through walls, put out fires with freeze breath. Just giving you a hard time, I get what you are saying. :)
It's a shame Andrew Neiman broken up with Supergirl. He didn't realize that she was one of the Greats.
in the words of Uncle Ben from the 1st Spider Man movie, "With great power comes great responsibility."
Melissa looked very beautiful here 😍 ❤️
My wife melissa is so pretty
I really love this video and the Supergirl show

Is it me or does the guy who plays James Olson seem big headed as if he has to be a part of someone else's interview? That high five was so false!
she should be Gwen stacy
+Kallin L - Supergirl's name is Kara Zor-El in the comic books.
if only this show was a little more well funded then they could've improved on some of the mediocre SFX which is really one the few drawbacks of the show.
+rusty_frame -- No TV show can afford to blow hundreds of millions of dollars and take months to create like a movie can. They aren't going to spend a lot of money on something only a few million people will watch.
I'll change the game when my time arrives lads..
sadly, the writers already let me down in season 3. If it wasn't for the amazing cast, I would have already stopped watching mid season 3 because of the shitty storyline :( hope it gets better in season 4
they need new writers
is it just me or does melissa look a bit like dana from that 70's show...srsly
She looks like blake lively in my opinion
bad girl don't look at explosions.
seriously the show is suck just the story and mellisa benoist make me keep watching
Hahahahshahahahshahahahahah 😂😂😂😂😂😂......Na they fucked Up.
no
You already did!
Could have at the very least got a $10 bottle of blonde hair dye and keep closer to Supergirl source material, another Earth crap is stupid... what is it Earth 38?!?
Her natural hair color isn't blonde.
"It's not an S...it stands for super sexist but everyone just calls it being a strong woman because I'm female"
If only Melissa was right to the DC fans after how bad the show got XD
I'm not a massive fan of Superman or his "world", but I'm actually looking forward to this show. I enjoyed the pilot, it had some problems but they can be easily fixed.
