Some people's double standards are annoying. When artists stay in their comfort zone, they will say it's repetitive but when artists explore and try something different, they still have something to say. This is what I love about SB19, they keep trying different styles, regardless of what people will say.
EXACTLY. SB19 does not want to fall into the cookie cutter mold of the usual MVs. They try to be different. I'm sorry but it annoys me when reactors comment that the MV really doesn't have anything to do with the Song. Doesn't have to be literal, people. Watch a movie then if you want some storytelling. Another foreign reactor didn't like the dance steps. Think they expected more gyrations and sexy moves because the lyrics are a bit raunchy. Said the dance moves gave him a headache. Just watch the concert performance of "I Want You" for your gyration fix. 😆
I think the Kings learned early on the hard way not to pay attention to negative criticism. Constructive criticism is different than negative criticism. 🤨
Just when the others were riding on the same style, SB19 did the exact opposite that nobody expected. They dared to be different because most were expecting them to be ultra glamorous and complex. The MV also appears unrelated to the lyrics but that is intentional. It is quirky and fun but still has depth and cerebral.
Sb19 their are unique artist they not afraid to ricks any genre.thank you for RV.👍👏👏👏🌛🌛🌛pls check their behind the scenes moonlight.🥰🥰🥰 They are all pilipino.🤗👍💞💙💙💙
Ian Asher & Terry Zhong are DJs and record producers from the US & China, respectively. They are the ones appearing on the tv screen/monitor they watch wearing black.
They should add you in their marketing team. You've given ideas for sponsors and endorsements (haircut, Apple)🤭This is actually tied up with an optical brand that's why they are wearing glasses.
You got the pool concept, right. They are at the bottom of the pool doong synchronized dancing. That is also why they are not mouthing out the lyrics and the glasses are the goggles.
Thank you for your RV ❤ It is always fun with SB19 songs, opens up varied analysis and interpretatioms, adds more fun! I think so far you are the first one to think of hairstyle ad, and that also makes sense..but it is impressive how they were able to incorporate the eyeglass wear sponsorship into the MV. I have been watching several reactors trying to understand the MV setting...so foremost is the underwater swimming pool setting; others thought it was a psyche ward with the padded walls and have associated the quirky dance moves to that; and there was another one that imagined it was like a womb and depicted the reproduction cycle..it was so funny, but probably it can be hehe! Ian Asher and Terry Zhong are the guys shown on the small tv screen in the MV; both are among the music producers of the song and Terry Zhong is one of the writers. Both are also DJ's, and there is a separate video where both made an introduction of the song in their role as DJ's infront of a big festival crowd. Truly fun to see the hype it infuses into the crowd! Do try to watch the behind-the scene vlog in the SB19 channel to see how Justin, being the creative director explained his viewpoint. Choreography was done by Jay Roncesvalles, same person who did the GENTO choreo, along with the Iskouts back up dancers. To me the song is like a funky epilogue/sequel of their song 'I Want You'..though Moonlight this time is not composed by Pablo, but it complements SB19 discography. The lyrics of Moonlight is actually quite passionate in a pillow talk way; the dance moves may seem funny and weird, but if you observe, there is a funny sense of intimacy nuanced in each move..but still keeping it elegantly clean, no vulgarity anywhere, making it just a clean, fun and refreshing feel. Their repressed looking facial expressioms belies am underlying, ready to get loose action once given a.chance to do so, once the moon shows up hehe.
Thank you for this reaction 😊 Justin, one of the members, is the creative director of this mv. The person who choreographed this is the same guy who choreographed GENTO. The planning and shooting of this mv happened in a span of 1 week including the choreography. Also, have you checked out FELIP's FAKE FACES?
You picked Justin’s hairstyle (which btw wearing black wig here in the mv 😅) And he also conceptualize this mv being the creative director as listed in the credits.
Well we all have different perspectives. They might be ordinary haircuts but there is diversity and that's what made me comment on the haircut commercial, plus it really depends on the culture, I don't see many of those haircuts where I live. The deadpan faces and quirky choreography was intentional, so if it was a deliberate artistic choice then I'm fine with it.

Exactly, I agree with you. I prefer when artist push the boundaries and explore outside the box, giving us new concepts and creative outlooks.
And SB19 still pulls it off.

Got it, thanks!

Thanks Pauline! Wow I hadn't noticed the glasses on everyone, good point!

bizarre for an artist to pinpoint quite ordinary haircuts to an unlip-synced music video with deadpan faces and quirky choreography.
