Whoops, here to clear up something about the AquaZoo exhibit: There's just one gibbon island in AquaZoo. You pass it two times though. All the footage is from the same island, just from the different sides. The island which is on the other side and also connected to this indoor holding is for capuchins, but that's not in this footage. And yeah, behind those grates is staff area
First time I see Artis new gibbon house and I love it! You didn't include Colognes Gibbons, so I suppose that they are still behind the scenes in the rhino stable after the fire in the Rainforest house last year. Black rhinos, red river hogs, some waterbirds and lar gibbons are a interesting selection for an animal house. Maybe a concept for Saint Reginald? :D
Yeah the rainforest house was still under construction, and the rhino house was closed when i went Same goes for Duisburg, large part of the primate building was closed so i didn't see the gibbons or the sloths there.
Duisburg is closed for so long that I already forgot that they have Gibbons. But Duisburg and Cologne would be the two worst exhibits of your list, because both lack an outdoor part

I've seen Lar gibbons at Hertfordshire zoo, Monkey World, Drusilla's, Chester zoo and Jersey zoo.

Nope, second biggest. Gondwanaland is 16.500 m2, Jungola is 16.764 m2 and got the Guinness World Record in 2022 :)
