It was a simple meme that didnt try too hard and had a bit of nonsensical comedy. All the other memes are way too busy, generic and overcooked.

I think a big part of what made Bathmech so funny is that right before it was a massive unfunny wall of text, where after spending like 20 seconds reading all of it resulted in no emotion. Then follow it up with a single word with one letter changed and a picture of a Mathmech monster in a bubble bath. To go from a thesaurus level wordcount to a single word and that single word actually be sorta funny makes that single word *hilarious*
Bathmech is comedy gold compared to the usual Yugi meme trash you have to sieve through.
I mean, this and cyberse dumb-dumb almost make up for all of this trash

i rejoice every time i run into a lab player. they're almost always too bad to play the deck effectively, and lab is too fair of a deck to be a major problem.
lab is a miserably slow deck that can't kill on the crackback. just set up as much interruption as you can through dbarrier, and keep playing. @@troytheboy1985
2 months late, but back then it was consistent, plays through handtraps and the only annoying one is ash which also can be played around btw. Also once it sets up, its as good as a win because they have strong recursion.

I recently posted my first meme in the master duel Reddit. I was proud of it as i got around 200 upvotes. It was the first time i actually posted something that got so much attention. It got featured in this meme review, where mr streamerman scrolled past it just to laugh at fucking bathmech

Honestly, once merli got banned, elf's explosiveness is pretty much gone. It's pretty gnarly to see it on other unusual deck though.

man god forbid an archetype making traps playable and making them fast enough to compete
Seriously it's wild how many people baby rage over Lab and want it to die. Why can't we have 1 singular trap deck that doesn't get hate banned just for being a trap deck? Instead of people learning to play better against different types of decks they just complain untill its hit into oblivion... like it's kinda the whole point of the game. Every archetype does its own thing and it's pretty easy to stop with 2 of the top 3 most played cards in the game. Just like every other deck.
I see that and raise you dbarrier & eev being consistently searchable by anything ever. (In the OCG, Mannadium &Tear can do the same thing by going into a Beatrice line bc they released some trap that has an in-grave effect to mimick another in-grave trap, but I'm in favor of that being banned too)
Other thing I will point out is the way the game has evolved more experienced duelists are the only ones who have had to learn decks their opponents play without just searching online. And the way playing against lab works you lose the game way earlier than you realize if you're bad so you can understand why it makes people salty
Because they usually win with floodgates like d barrier and Stanby phase eev also hand rip for 2 before you can play the game.

@@josecolon120891 Ban all the floodgates it doesn't matter to me I personally don't even play them in my deck. Combo players side deck floodgates in almost all the topcuts for a reason. They are part of the game and they serve a purpose. People would still complain about Labrynth because it plays in unconventional ways. Variance in game like Yugioh is a good thing and it should be appreciated at this point that there are so many different ways to play the game. And there are no "auto win buttons" in Labrynth by itself. It takes skill to play at the higher levels and actually forces you to interact with your opponent instead of just comboing for 10 minutes.

I think there's a second layer to the Code Talker meme which is just that because it's Decode Talker specifically, with Decode Talker Heatsoul, Decode Talker has literally been FIRE'd.
...Which isn't exactly funny by itself, but I guess it could be given that Decode Talker is the ONLY Code Talker that has been "fired", so if it was a programmer, it would be the only shit one.
