Although the match was played on a friendly basis, both sides wanted to win. Partly because they defended their country as individual representatives, but also because of the popular belief that European football was superior to all others, which was demonstrated in the formation of teams. As a counterpart to this last factor, the figures belonging to the Rest of the World managed to overwhelm the rival team, with a resounding result of 5 goals against 2.

Why don't they have special exhibition matches like this anymore? I feel like there was so much pageantry in football back then and it's missing now there's no sense of spectacular there are still great players playing the game but there's no pageantry or celebration of it anymore.
Escelente, obrigado pela postagem!
Demasiada calidad en un solo partido

I don't understand why Ronaldinho? At that time he has allready become Ronaldo
Because there were an older Ronaldo in brazil at the 1996 Olympics they called him that, but later even after he got famous and all the world called him Ronaldo, For some reasons they still called him Ronaldinho in Brazil, not until he moved back to brazil in 2009 when he joined Corinthians they started to call him Ronaldo Fenomeno like the rest of the world :)
