I bought my first diesel because of this truck, got me out of a 4.7 hemi into a 05 5.9 Cummins. Haven’t owned a gas vehicle SINCE ! Thanks for all the fun and cool videos. Hope you. Ring it back
As a customer and a long term follower. Thank you for the excellent customer service and the badass transmission. Look forward to seeing the truck come to life again 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
heroes are forgotten but legends never die I’ve been following this truck since I was a kid myself this truck is the reason why I turn a wrench on trucks today
Awesome to see the progression. I’ve been a fan since 2016. You mentioned you had the most fun driving the truck around 1400hp. The industry has evolved 2000hp is the new 1400. I think it would be cool to cab swap red back to “stock” and enjoy the truck at 2000hp stock ecm, air conditioning, nice seats. No cage. Tow the shit out of anything. I feel like it could be pretty reliable at that power level and stay together a long time. It would be more “relatable” to a performance guy at home. The motec and billet motor could go into a rcsb or rclb truck that’s lighter. Wrap it the same color as red delicious, and call it red delight 😂 I’ve seen people cut cages out of hot rods just to be able to enjoy them like they used to. red delicious is a legend. As you push the truck further you drive it less and less, and you get less “enjoyment” per $ you put into it.(my opinion) Something to think about.
I want you to be able to retire someday and be able to keep the truck that brought you all the positive memories with your family and friends (and still be able to drive it like you did when you made all those memories)
About halfway through the video, I was going to comment that Red Delicious should be rebuilt, but back to a 1400-1600hp rock solid, reliable daily driver. Something that the public would still see out and about. But, then I got to the end of the video. 😂 Every performance shop needs a vehicle to push the limits, and I'm glad you're going to continue pushing those boundaries with Red!
I was thinking about half way through this video, you can’t abandon something that put you in your place in this life. I know a lot of it was you, but Red Delicious was the vehicle…literally and figuratively. Happy that made this video bc you talked it out in a way and the decision was easy. Can’t wait to see the next chapter.
Ive followed red delicious for years, I have the same color & year of truck so I’ve always rooted for red delicious over the other competition trucks. These days my truck is in that 1400whp sweet spot that you talked about and red was certainly an inspiration for me. Excited to see what comes of it, please video every step of the process!!
Red delicious is symbol of you and your company. A mascot so to speak. It speaks for you and your company's reputation. Proof of the quality transmissions you build. Always continue and improve. When your in the market for a trans and you see this truck take the beating that it does, there is no question that Randy's Transmissions knows what they're doing, thats the trans I want in my vehicle. Even if your hands are not taking part in its future, its symbol still stands.
This truck is my hero for what diesel trucks can do! Especially because it's a full weight dually! And I'm a Ford guy!!! Bring it back better than ever!!!
My 8 yr old girl has a red delicious shirt we got while y’all were down here in Phx for the desert nationals ( her favorite shirt) I showed her what happened to the truck and she was genuinely upset. You’ve got fans of all ages 🤙
HELL YES! Randy is such an amazing man, i got to meet him i person several time and couldnt ask for more nicer and down to earth person. That truck and him have buitl such legacy how could it not go on. So excited for this!
The thing about owning a vehicle that becomes iconic is at some point it turns into a living breathing thing, it becomes it's own persona with its own following and you stop being the owner and turn into a caretaker. The truck has it's own fan base in multiple categories and if you didn't bring the truck back you would take a hit for sure, nothing I'm sure you couldn't recover from but it would definitely create some hate. And let's stop bullshitting, you know you'll never scrap it anyways, you love that truck as much as you love your kids. 😂 Can't wait to see it's return, good luck and stay safe brother, keep paving the way!
Keep on doing what you do so well. Always love seeing what you are doing. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But when life gives you Red Delicious, keep on making apple pies! 😊. Rebuild it!
She deserves to be revived💙 after all its done for a lot of peoples lives, it deserves it💙 The wife and I cant wait to see the revival, she's such an amazing truck. To some they are just trucks but to us it's a way of life💙💙💙 if your not breaking sh*t your not pushing enough and your definitely not having fun😊🤘
Ive been following you guys since the beginning since i was in school and because of you i always wanted a Cummins now that im 23 i finally bought my self a 05 5.9 can't wait to buy a 48re from you
I love the video!! I remember the first time I seen ol red delicious on the interwebs, you were sitting on the side of the road and launched the truck 😮 I never seen a truck move out soooo damn fast!! I've been watching 👀 ever since!
I have an 03 3500 that I’ve had for almost 20 years now. It has a 6.7 long block with good parts in it and a big input shaft all billet shafts transmission. I started to go down the road of making a lot of power and starting to sled pull it more. I didn’t want to take the interior out or modify the truck itself too much because I didn’t want to ruin it. I hope you can get it put back together.
Great video Randy it’s sad this happened! I love ol red! But that’s a lot to fix that cowl is bad. You could put another truck out there till red is fixed and run both. FYI I love my 19 stage 3 68 man! It was Randy’s hands down for me. Wish the refresh was a bit cheaper!!! Wink wink!!
Awesome video! Randy's transmission customer service is not satisfactory. No, it goes way above and beyond that, I can attest they do hold a higher standard than the vast majority out there! I will promote, recommend, and flat out brag on Randy's transmission until I can't anymore and that's a promise. My stage 2 68rfe is an absolute monster in my 2015. Glad to see Red Delicious will live on brother. My son is 10 and he's a diesel fanatic, he plays farming simulator with all the mods and what not and he built himself a Red Delicious and he's always proud to brag that his dad's cummins has a Randy's Transmission lol. I'll bet there are 40, 10 year old boys who couldn't give a shit less about a diesel truck or transmission at his school that now know what a Randy's Transmission is because of my son. It's pretty comical but amazing to see his passion at the same time. As we get new trucks you've got a customer for life brother, I can guarantee my son will always be a customer too ha! Keep doing what you're doing because you're doing it right Randy!
Can't wait to see this unit back out there laying it down. I thought you ran hells gate with this truck but I just looked and it was the 4th gen dually you did that with.
Now my friend and I Own and run the shop and we have had some customers request your transmission be installed in their rigs. So our shop we do own a super flow dyno to run them once we are done with whatever they want done to their truck. We even dragged raced Dimitri millard head to head and won that round with no NOS with our built transmission not one of yours lol. I would never scrap any of my trucks lol that’s funny that would say something like that lol but hey their is a first for everything lol 😂
Fuck yeah this video has made me cry and motivated to get my car done, Tdi 00 Jetta it’s tornado red and I think I might Nick name it red delicious sorry but I love it! Keep on keeping on!
Appears 3 of the big dyno explosions have failed where the block shot off from the crank up/. I think this could be engineer out with a fat enough wallet. When you get knock down get up stronger.
