I saw that Bluetti offered this new charger but had no idea what it was for. GREAT explanation of the product! Thank you for that. And I 100% would be interested in seeing how you perm install it, if you don't mind. :) I have a '97 Coachman Starflyte that I will be renovating at some point so I am learning a lot from your videos. Thank you for sharing!
Get rid of the door. Less weight. It will just you and your daughter, so I'm not sure why people are saying about privacy. Lol. And curtain will double as a shower curtain and can change them to suit your decor or season. I have a Halloween one. Christmas one lol. It's fun. Also I need to buy a bluetti soon, so definitely looking into that!
I think you should do what YOU want with the door! The cedar looks great! I'm working on a pop-up camper rn and need to cover a repaired wall, might consider that. I'm in Oregon too and this rain is pushing me to do all the interior projects. 😂
Put some chalkboard paint on the bathroom door for your daughter to have somewhere to colour! 🥰 Then when she's not with you. You have her cute little drawings with you everywhere you go.
IMO I would keep the bathroom door. I especially like a little more privacy especially if you have guest. But I am 65 years old and more modest than some of you younger folks. Love your videos. Stay safe in TX hopefully you didn’t get too much snow and ice. Just another thought if you didn’t want the door as is then make a barn door style where it can slide back and forth instead of taking up room opening out.
I’ve never cheered for another RUclipsr more than you girlie!! Your hardworking , and good momma, I see loyalty and a good heart!! Remember that all these qualities are great and will all come back to you!! 👏 😊
I would keep the bathroom door -great for memories and embers photo and her art pictures the other side in the bathroom is great for towels or robe hooks or hanging cloths It’s nice to have things buttoned up to the top ❤🎉😊
Keep the door. 1. Psychologically beneficial for guests. 2. Can act as a visual block for the back part. 3. The lack of a door makes the interior look incomplete.
BAM! That's what I like to see! Well done Jaylena well done on the cedar. Keep the door close please because what if you're friends or family want privacy to use the bathroom, we don't want to smell🤢 you know what.🤣😂 Be safe and hugs to your little one!🙏🤗😍
i took my bathroom door down an set it aside..... i did put up a curtain an kept getting caught on it so i took the door an cut out the center an left 3 inches all the way around then bought a piece of frosted plex an made an insert! i like it so much more! its still private but lets light in from the hall light
Jaylena, I think putting cedar planks all over the walls would add a layer of insulation to the walls and make your rig warmer. I would keep the door for now and decide later if I need to remove it.❤😊
The cedar looks great! Personally, I say keep the bathroom door. Currently, my daughter has a curtain on her half bath in her house, because the track for the pocket door broke. The curtain feels so much less private. It's great to watch this build coming together so quickly!
Yeah I'd keep the door. You could even do a chalk door I did that once we loved it. It was great fun. You could put a basket on the door for your daughters chalk.
I would keep the door and paint it with blackboard paint. I did this to an ugly basement door and put a thin ledge half way down. It was fun during gatherings and was good for notes, shopping lists, quotes etc. Your daughter could also use it for play or school time.
Great idea. Do top half in cedar and bottom half with chalk paint. Also put a mirror on it if you decide to keep the door on the inside. So you can see length wise and have a mirror in bathroom
Curtain will save weight but the door offers another surface for storage. (Mirror, hooks for towels , pjs, bathroom essentials etc.) figure out your storage needs and then decide what you works for you.
Great job on the cedar, love the smell when you brush it with sand paper. The inside of door would be a great place for full length mirror (inside) and maybe metallic chalk board paint (outside) for when you’re feeling inspired. You have a great channel for teaching young women independence. Good luck with the adventure.
Cedar is a good choice. Beautiful. Great aroma. Insect resistant. I used it fr the ceiling in my Promaster conversion in 12' lengths. Keep the door Clamp a stop block on your saw fence for repetitive short cuts. Don't risk your fingers.
I think you have more tools and equipment than I’ve ever had in my life and I’m 70 years old! You are doing well I hope you find humour to see you through the sad times and the strength for everything that you need. All the Best from Scotland. All the very best to you and yours,❤Rab
Hello from the 51st State lol. I started watching when u bought the chinook funny as I watched this video we having a chinook.(Jasper Alberta)I really like the idea of you using cedar in your build ur very good for explaining ur reasoning on products and not being cocky in comments like men doing van builds. I’m looking FWD to next video as I’ve been thinking of renovating my camper and this sheds some light on what I’m getting myself into and I’m a carpenter with a full shop but luv seeing ur ideas ur inspiration is a motivation for me to Reno my bumper pull camper.keep up the amazing work girl ur killing it on ur build.
Welcome to her channel. She's done other builds and they always look amazing. If you are looking for inspiration, you definitely need to watch her other videos where she builds out Peach (smaller bus), the Big Bus, and her van. 🙂
Hi Jaylena: I’m very impressed with your workmanship! One suggestion. Take a few hours to build your self some saw horses and a couple of 2x12’s or a piece of plywood on top to have a work surface for your chop saw and cutting or sanding pieces etc. It will make your life a whole lot easier and will be well worth the effort. John Jensen from British Columbia
As much as this began as a huge disappointment 😢 I knew you would turn this old Chinook into something very special 💙🫶 Also you’ll have complete peace of mind knowing how clean and having it as your own beautiful creation!!!! YaY Jaylena!!!!!
WOW - what a change that cedar makes! Great job!! As for the bathroom, I would keep the door. Not only for privacy, you can also use the inside of the door for towel hooks or a mirror.
I worked for Orkin when getting a call for a house where a woman died years before her kids figured it out. She lived next to the river where the mice came from to take over. There was only 1 room untouched. It was lined with cedar.
I just could never be comfortable with a curtain as a bathroom door. That's too little a buffer! I need the feeling of security (and privacy) when doing business!
You should use a mould proof waterproof sealant for wall and floor area around the kitchen fridge, kitchen and bathroom before putting anything in. This will give you piece of mind about water and also help with insulation
Have read the comments and most are saying keep the door. I'm in favor of the curtain. Maybe use double sided velcro to aid in some privacy. It is just you and Ember make it easy. The door hitting the closet trying to get in/out. ugh.. It will be easy to access the bathroom just entering the doorway. Looks good. Kris
Keep the bathroom door. Cut a big hole in the center and put in some kind of stain glass or frosted glass. I did that to my hall pantry and it looks really nice and it provides light. Cedar looks good!
I also suggest keeping the door, I’m sure someday someone will need to use it that’s not family and would prefer not to only have a certain. Additionally, I’m wondering if that cedar smell will detract mice. If so, that’s a win win. I’m new here but I’m amazed at all the knowledge you have about renovating as well as your familiarity with all those power tools! Is there anything you can’t do? You do appear to have a lot of videos. I probably need to watch them in order. Keep up that positive attitude, you’re doing fantastic!
That cedar looks really sharp in there. I was adamant on whether the vertical would look good or not but it turned out fantastic. Well done. Im looking forward to seeing this project come together.
The cedar is beautiful on the walls and I know the smell is refreshing. You always make everything look so good on your builds❤❤❤ keep the door on the bathroom😊
If there is mold on any of the wood- make a cleanser with borax and let it dry. I spent almost 8 grand on an old hickory shed- brand new, but because we live pretty much in the mountains up here in Washington we have a lot of moisture. It was moldy from the bottom halfway up the walls all the way around last winter. We did the borax treatment, waited for it to dry, and then did kilz with a mold additive in it. Saved it big time
Keep the door you’ve made such a good job of the walls aesthetically pleasing rather then an sudden change to a curtain but it is your home and it’s what pleases you that matters.
I kept my bathroom door. It isolates the space to contain smells. If I need to empty my black tank, I just run the fan on low and keep the door closed. Also the door is important if there are two people in the rv.
I wish I could smell the cedar 🤗. I would keep the bathroom door, because you can put wet stuff in the bathroom, close the door and any moisture will be in there and not in your living space. Also you can store stuff in the bathroom that will not fall out, because the door keeps it in. You can also make hooks at the inside to hang towels or whatever on/at the door. Just some thoughts 😊
That's so weird, why would you use your Blueetti battery bank when you have power all around you? 0:25 Oh! Today's sponsor! 5:50 Excellent job with the walls!
Keep a door there. If its because it takes up space. Opt for a bigold or create a trifold door. That way it doesn't block the back door or getting into that area. Not knowing how much space you have in the bathroom. Or if there is room. A hidden door that slides closed, something like a roll top desk cover. A door could be good if you have company.
Toss the shower door and do a curtain. Less weight. And you don't need to do a shower curtain. You can do a lovely window drape but add a waterproof lining to the backside.
Careful with that "trim" around the windows. That trim is actually what locks the windows in to keep them from falling out if they are pushed on from the inside! While you have the trim off you may as well remove each window and reseal the windows (when it is not raining) to finally solve any water leaks around them. With the wood on the walls you may need longer screws to reinstall the trim. Keep the bathroom door!
Keep the door but if you are opposed there are retractable options available or accordion pleated shower curtains which magnets-just be sure the frame will attract the magnets.
The only advantage as far as I could see is that a door provides a way to attach a full length mirror, or a hanging pocket storage bag. On the other hand a curtain provides ease to enter and exit the bath and can be changed out when tired of it, or damaged. I love the cedar wall covering. I just saw the 'cream' is THE new color for 2025 and that would blend beautifully with the cedar and giving you more options for decorations.
You could try the curtain and just keep the door incase you decide the curtain isn’t enough. Little miss Ember may do better with the curtain while she’s little ❤
Hi Jaylena I have to say your such an inspiration you have such a talent and you take everything bad that the new van has given you very graciously I commend you on everything that you are doing as a young mom I love watching your channel you just prove you can do anything you put you mind too I love the cedar so pretty I know the rest of van is gonna come out gorgeous and for my opinion I would keep the bathroom door there a lot more privacy lol well looking forward to your next video. Debbie from New Jersey 😊
looking good. I did a partial gut on my RV. I live in Florida and mice aren't that bad. We have very invasive German roaches. They're very hard to get rid of. Once they're gone, dead in the walls, they stink. I could not go the route of leaving there. What a mess but I'm so happy I did. Really enjoying videos. Keep them coming. Love the cedar. Curtain sounds good on the bathroom door.
Keep the bathroom door, the insides will look more like a home and give better privacy. The inside door will give you a place to hang things as well. 😊😁🥰
I agree. Keep the door. Lots of great ways to make it look great. The plex glass is what id do. Lookin great though. Youve came a long way Lena from the timid beginner. You have it. No quit! 💝
Keep the bathroom door, add a long mirror. My daughter ( her name is ember, too 😊) LOVES to have a mirror to dance and play in front of. And do the chalkboard on the other side for more fun!
Loving the cedar, can’t wait to see the colors you choose. I think you made a wise choice moving forward. Imagine you are almost on the road! Keep the door if it doesn’t work out it’s an easy fix.
I do alot of woodworking. Beautiful job on the cedar. No curtain , keep the door for sure. Suggestion: get a table to put the chop saw on so your back is saved of all the bending. You'll be surprised.
Keep the door, maybe paint or wallpaper and add a full length mirror. You can also depending on the space add a drop counter for extra prep space. Coming together nicely, thanks for sharing. 😊
I personally would keep the bathroom door. If you dont like the way it is, you could make one that you like, maybe paint it with chalkboard paint for Ember & messages or daily quotes etc..or maybe a full length mirror. Just no curtain 😊
Or figure out how to do a different door if I kept running in to that I would be figuring something out. Do what works for you. If you have company a curtain should not bother them. IF they have to take a dump everyone evacuate 😂😂😂
The Cedar walls look Great Jaylena, you always make that look so easy in your builds. Blessings to you, Ember and Issac. There is tons of snow here in the mid-west and no garage to build out of so this 65 year granny is staying inside till better weather. I have tons to do on my rebuild but I have to be careful of my health, so it's slow going here. Have fun, can't wait to see the next step in your build.
Love what you're doing jaylena I think that I would keep the door and put a really pretty mirror on the back of it so that you could. When you open the door you could use the mirror like out in the living area to see what you're wearing or in the hallway. Can't wait to see what you do!
So dang beautiful, and the fact that your not afraid to dive into a construction project like that is truly inpressive. Im jealous, lol. Wish so bad i could get out of this apartment and go full time on the road. The projects looking amazing, and i love the plans you have for it. For your bed / "L" couch, you could always do a small panel to extend the dinette part a bit as Ember grows to give you ladies more bed space, altho that would make it harder to get out of bed in the middle of the night.. and i vote either a.) Keep the shower door (wrap in cedar, and finish the edges in a corner moulding?) Or remake it in 3/8" plexi, and frost it and light the edges with LEDs? I def wouldnt go curtain tho, as itll allow room for potential water leaks with the shower running (altho the shower curtain is there, could catch a draft and pull back from the "shower curb"..) Other then that, looks amazing and i cant wait to follow along..
The cedar looks good. Keep up the great work! Keep the bathroom door. Put a mirror on it, and trim it with cedar. You'll need a mirror, even if it's the plexiglass type of a mirror. 👍
The cedar looks sooo good! I would keep the door. If you don’t like how it looks, that could be changed. Lots of good ideas on here. Cover it with cedar, chalkboard paint (any color) or even wallpaper. It’s going to be awesome whatever you decide! 💕
Yay…. Loving the cedar!!!! Looks great. As for the bathroom door, i have just one thought on preferring the door just because, for me I would put little baskets there on the inside of the door for just more storage for small items. That’s it, as always keep up the great work❣️
If you do a curtain for the bathroom, make it room darkening fabric. My WC did not have a door or a curtain, but it did have a window. After a couple of trips, room darkening was the way to go. Cute curtain inside the WC, and room darkening door curtain. Just a thought! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your channel!!!
Depends on what kind of theme for your build your going for, i.e., country, classy, bohemian, practical, etc. I do not favor curtained doors. Too girly. Love your using cedar on this build! 😉
I would keep the door. I had an accordion door in our RV and would have loved a regular door. My step daughter had a curtain over her bathroom door, it always seemed cheap and reminded my of my grandma’s bathroom sink with a tacky curtain around the sink. Besides, a nice decorative piece on the bathroom door will be a focal point. Nice job!!!
Jaylena, the cedar looks great. I'd keep the door. Paint it to match your cabinets. It would be a great place to hang a full length mirror. Thanks for sharing. ♥️♥️💛
My opinion on the bathroom door is definitely a curtain. In my RV I live in stationary, I leave the door open for air circulation. I had noticed moisture and mildew started. I see in your rig to leave that door open may be in the way.
I liked the macrame curtain you used as a bathroom/closet door in the past and can see that in your RV. I have a few concerns though. Since you have to pass by your bathroom door each time you enter or leave the living area, it may get caught on a sleeve, purse, grocery bag, etc. Also, I can't recall the shower setup but will replacing the door with a curtain create a shower/water barrier issue? My suggestion is to do what you want. If you decide to remove the door, keep it in the garage in case you change your mind later. Whatever you decide, I have faith it will look amazing. Your style is always my favorite. 🙂
Keep the bathroom door. It will give more privacy as well as keep unwanted smells confined in the bathroom. It will also match some of the original trim.
I’ve got to tell you, watching you get on this makes me want to go out and do something in my rig… but there’s no current remodel or renovation in my plans!!! I LOVE the cedar… maybe in my bath
I like the idea of the "L" shape corner behind the passenger seat area. We did something similar and actually made the pertruding portion recessable to slide into the bench when the bed area was used. It saved about 20" when recessed doesn't sound like much but it made a huge difference.

Pocket doors are awesome too
I like the barn door idea as well.
I love the barn door idea.

I would keep the bathroom door -great for memories and embers photo and her art pictures the other side in the bathroom is great for towels or robe hooks or hanging cloths
It’s nice to have things buttoned up to the top ❤🎉😊
🤔
Or even use chalk/magnetic paint at the bottom where she can draw or have alphabet magnets. A simple border around it to make it decorative.
PLEASE KEEP THE DOOR!🙏 curtains would be tacky and lack the privacy a door offers
Forget the privacy, just overall tacky 🫣
It looks Amazing. I would keep the bathroom door.
The cedar looks fantastic Jaylena. I think you should keep the bathroom door.
Keep the door. 1. Psychologically beneficial for guests. 2. Can act as a visual block for the back part. 3. The lack of a door makes the interior look incomplete.

Yeah I'd keep the door. You could even do a chalk door I did that once we loved it. It was great fun. You could put a basket on the door for your daughters chalk.

I had the same thought on another post. Great minds think alike 😉, lol.
Great idea. Do top half in cedar and bottom half with chalk paint. Also put a mirror on it if you decide to keep the door on the inside. So you can see length wise and have a mirror in bathroom
She should at least chalk paint it so her daughter could draw when she’s in the chinook
Keep the door for privacy and safety for keeping Ember out of reach.
Also, soooooo close!!!!🎉🎉 Like and share...SHE IS SO CLOSE TO 100,000! Let's get her there!!!! She deserves it!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I've been watching that too. So exciting!!

Yep .agree. great ideas. If she wants to enhance the decor she can also hang a beaded curtain or similar knitted (macrame?) one on the outside

Are you still in Texas @LeaveHerWild Jaylenna Are you Safe from the TEXAS snow?
You make it look so easy. I know it's not. You're a Semi-Pro now.
Eew
Just out of curiosity, how much weight is the cedar adding. I love the look .
I just could never be comfortable with a curtain as a bathroom door. That's too little a buffer! I need the feeling of security (and privacy) when doing business!

Yes, watch her videos from the start. There's so much history with bus, van, and now RV builds. Welcome to her channel. 🙂
Keep the door😊
Keep the door as you can put hooks inside for wet coats etc
Done a lot of wallpaper, a lot. I like your cow paper. It will limit what else you can add on walls but it speaks to me. I like it!! Good job.
Keep door. Better for being able to keep little hands and feet out when your traveling with Ember.😊
That cedar looks really sharp in there. I was adamant on whether the vertical would look good or not but it turned out fantastic. Well done. Im looking forward to seeing this project come together.

Toss the shower door and do a curtain. Less weight. And you don't need to do a shower curtain. You can do a lovely window drape but add a waterproof lining to the backside.
The cedar looks great Jaylena. I'd keep the bathroom door so if you need privacy and to keep it closed. ❤
Definitely go with the curtain. Those doors are always getting in the way. Pulled mine off of all my builds. Cedar looks awesome. Good job!!
@LeaveHerWild, I am sad for you that you basically have to scrap the entire interior, but selfishly I am enjoying watching you do it! You go girl!!
I'd keep the door😊 This is getting exciting. Happy for you🎉
You could try the curtain and just keep the door incase you decide the curtain isn’t enough. Little miss Ember may do better with the curtain while she’s little ❤
I love the look of the cedar and the smell of it so delicate I love it
Hi Jaylena I have to say your such an inspiration you have such a talent and you take everything bad that the new van has given you very graciously I commend you on everything that you are doing as a young mom I love watching your channel you just prove you can do anything you put you mind too I love the cedar so pretty I know the rest of van is gonna come out gorgeous and for my opinion I would keep the bathroom door there a lot more privacy lol well looking forward to your next video.
KNOCKING IT OUT LIKE A BOSS AND LOOKING GOOD DOING IT!!!
Keep the bathroom door, the insides will look more like a home and give better privacy.
The inside door will give you a place to hang things as well. 😊😁🥰
I love the cedar! I would keep the bathroom door, however you do what's best for you.
I agree. Keep the door. Lots of great ways to make it look great. The plex glass is what id do. Lookin great though. Youve came a long way Lena from the timid beginner. You have it. No quit! 💝
Keeping the bathroom door is privacy..hanging spot...classier than curtains...you are doing such a great job
The solid door will prevent smell When we have a curtain and our window open while driving. It brings the smell up
Keep the door, maybe paint or wallpaper and add a full length mirror.
IF they have to take a dump everyone evacuate
😂😂😂
@@marlalay4170 LOL... "evacuate". 😂
The cedar looks great Jaylena 👍
Love the cedar! Keep the bathroom door! Paint it or refinish it!
I def wouldnt go curtain tho, as itll allow room for potential water leaks with the shower running (altho the shower curtain is there, could catch a draft and pull back from the "shower curb"..)
Other then that, looks amazing and i cant wait to follow along..
As usual, I love, love, LOVE it!! That cedar with the pop of black trim looks amazing.
The cedar is the perfect choice. it looks amazing. Keep the door for the bathroom. Keep up the gr8 job.
Nice job!!!
I love Cedar, it's easy to work with, you can change the stain if you wish and it smells great. Fabulous job.
The work you’ve done on the wall with the cedar really looks good. 😊
Keep the door, you can always remove later on once the tv is lived in and see if you’d like it more as a curtain
I would definitely keep the bathroom door. Change the handle if you want a refresh! Great job so far, Jaylena!
I like the idea of the "L" shape corner behind the passenger seat area. We did something similar and actually made the pertruding portion recessable to slide into the bench when the bed area was used. It saved about 20" when recessed doesn't sound like much but it made a huge difference.
