I wonder if the reason they put a camp fire on one of the crab islands was to make it easier to cook up a crab snack without having to go back to Critter Cove.
Hey Shelab, you might want to consider putting out more benches and street lights for the town, as I remember reading somewhere that that kinda thing tends to make the tourists happy, and thus more likely to spend money in the town (I also read that some tourists will interact with certain items, like dumbbells, which will make them happy too). Oh and this may be a dumb question, but can you actually buy food and drinks from the cafe and tavern, or are they just there purely to bring in money from tourists? :? Also, can you donate other items to the museum too, like food, furniture, and fish; or is it strictly just artifacts? Anyway, keep up the good work and keep your eye on that doppleganger (I'm sure they're up to something). =p

you can resin from fallen trees on the ground around critter cove
you can also use plastics and trash as cooking fuel for your cooking
Chopping up the fallen logs around the islands will give you resin instead of you having to buy the oil and make it.

You are probably exactly right there! I didn't even think to use that!
Nah, you need a stove or cooking set to make a crab snack. It uses 3 ingredients. A campfire is only able to cook single ingredient foods.

I absolutely intend to put more benches etc around, and the carts once I get eonough of them, I just keep getting distracted with other things!!

Not sure, but there is not need to sleep, so with a light source there is generally no need.
Where do you find the wooden toucans?? Literally the only thing im missing for my tavern lol
