My pleasure! I'm not a pro as well, but I have an experience on making chibi anime plush. I like to use velboa for the skin, but to make the details (hair, clothes, accessories) I like nylex and felt because it's easier to work with (also sometimes cotton fabric for clothes). The difference between velboa and nylex is the fur and the thickness of the fabric. In my opinion velboa is thicker than nylex. I have tried to make the plush skin with nylex as well, for a mini plush like for a keychain and it worked great. I think working with velboa is best for bigger plush, and nylex for mini plush. But experimenting with both of them is fun~ Hope it helps. Let me know if you have any other questions ^o^/
