I'm so glad Silas and Jasmine are going for therapy and he's understanding the mistakes he made. This will help them to grow in the marriage. I honestly thought they wouldn't last when I saw him behavior.

No. Silas should have absolutely not apologized. This is another case of attacking what it means to be a man. This is a strong educated hard working man that was in a house surrounded by women and men. that seamed to be bisexual or DL. They are trying to emasculate him like they are currently trying to do with most of the straight black men in the black community and its disgusting!

Silas is a military man and some of them can be very demanding & controlling. He was oblivious to his personality/actions because no one has ever called him on it. I’m glad he’s working on himself and glad him & Jasmine entered counseling.

Silas is a hard no for me, 24 minutes talking to another man doesn't change anything. But Kempire delivered. And we shall see next season if he really changed.

Unpopular opinion. I like Silas and Jasmine as a couple. I applaud their being in counseling bc even when your relationship is healthy, it doesn't hurt to have a 3rd party to help you communicate better.

When someone makes a bunch of excuses then says afterwards " I dont want to maje excuses"but.... I'm not feeling him😒 He practiced his answers, was politically correct, and went around the answer and found something positive to say. Y'all can have him! 😂😂

I taught 2nd grade ESL for over a decade. My students came from all over the world, China Europe Africa and so they were all children of immigrants or born in another country themselves. Their parents definitely instilled what I hear Silas saying about gratitude & respect being in this country. My classroom was filled half of students from here and other half immigrants and I definitely could tell a difference. In their attitude towards academics, respect towards me as a teacher. I so appreciated that even though many of the parents did not speak English themselves they were the 1st ones to show up to parent teacher conferences and us trying our best to communicate often the students being the translators. They often were more serious bc of everything they and their families had gone through. The parents were very diligent in making sure the students stayed on track because they did not take anything for granted. I always told my principal put me in an ESL position for teaching lol. I loved those babies & tried my best to let them be 2nd graders while w me ❤

I love that you are covering this show. I really like this show and all the cast, some more than others tbh. It's tough putting all your business out there and having to deal with the world critiquing everything you do. We are all human and none of us are perfect. I hope the best for all of them and they learn and do better from the feedback on the show.

Thank you Kempire and Silas for this interview. I really enjoy this show and I appreciate Silas’ candor. Looking in the mirror is our best truths for us all. This feels like the most real, reality show I have experienced. The stars/ characters are real people, some more annoying than others. Famous last words for me, send Milo home and bring Mariah back, Or Milo could remain in Bria’s room unless leashed by Bria period, along with a poop bag. I know Milo brings story line but Mariah is a more interesting part. Side note, who knew those towels belonged to Milo ? And who put them in the laundry room?
Kemp, you need red carpet and reunions gugs. Even when you're fencesittng on a topic or person, I can appreciate your analysis bc you still call it what it is. For example, not all perspectives are valid, but folks are allowed to have them.

This interview gave much needed context, especially the fact that they had been apart 6+ months before shooting the show and only married a few weeks before he left. I definitely understand more of where he was coming from and am so glad he is taking accountability for his actions. I’m also glad they are working on their marriage and doing their best to preserve that Black Love. ❤

This was a good interview, and I am glad they started back up with counseling. At least he recognized how horrible he sounded speaking to his wife. I did have one question though about Silas constantly saying they dated during the pandemic. If they are coming up on a year of marriage this year, and they married within a year of dating. That means Silas and Jasmine were both able to go out because New York was open (although limited) by 2021. So why does he keep saying they dated during the pandemic when stores/bars/restaurants were open? They could still go out with her friends (it sounds like Silas was around some people who she was friends with). He made it seem like they were locked down and he had never seen Jasmine have a good time or be free
Nice to hear they are working thru it, hope all turns out well in the long run.
I liked that he seems to be taking accountability, however, I do feel as if he is just trying to do damage control. If he is indeed working on himself then that's great for he and Jasmine. Really only time will tell. I do know this though - we're going to be back at square one with him and giving a deeeep side 👀 after next week's episode based on the teaser. 🐘👑💫💕

Lastly, I truly wish people would stop labeling people as 'narcissists' as if their licensed mental health professionals. That said, we can all exhibit narcissistic behaviors but not be narcissists. Hope this helps.

Where is Bravo's PR and production team on all of this? Shouldn't there be a producer advising these new stars and setting realistic expectations for fan reactions to the show? Not everyone is going to like you and everyone is going to have an opinion. I'm curious to see if these interviews actually sway public opinions. The person who would benefit from some clean up imo is Shanice! Bria and Silas might be getting some slack, but they're not always in the wrong. I think if they stop caring about Twitter reactions, they could have long careers on Bravo.

I really wish Bravo would implement a social media policy. Because all of these new Bravolebrities running to the blogs and socials every day defending themselves is tiring. And they are ruining the show by not letting us see how things play out.

I respect Silas WAAAAAYYYYY more after watching this interview. I was so mad at him after watching this last episode. Especially after being married to a malignant narcissist. Major flashbacks to that. I think it’s important to admit when you’re wrong and then do the work to actually change.
Accountability is so powerful and it is not easy to do. I think (and hope) that therapy is working for Silas and jasmine

I'm sorry, but I just watched finale, and to see this grown man talking about how he was hungry in a kitchen, that he was standing in, full of food was a little embarassing. I'm glad he saw himself on tv bascially being helpless for No reason. We know he knows how to take care of himself, he just didn't want to. Then he kept saying how Jasmine was actting like they were on vacation...But they Literally were...On Vacation.

Silas is barley in the military. He joined the reserves a few months before filming … my husband has been in the military for over 12 years (ROTC, active duty and reserves) and he would NEVER speak to me or anyone that way

Silas personality was great. Do not see it on Summer House. And his attitude is a cultural thing that I get.
This is a good interview. I wanted them to have a season two ever since the first episode because it’s way better then Summer House to me. Also, I wasn’t on the “I hate Silas” because I understand why he was saying and going what he was saying and doing. Men are suppose to be the head of the household and women are suppose to act as such. The world makes it seems like EVERYTHING is okay or need to change when that isn’t true. The only thing that I didn’t like was Silas taking that wedding right off, I’ll never understand that. If you want Jaz to be the model wife then you have to stay true to her and y’all beliefs as the man of the household.
Anyway, i watch you almost everyday Kempire. I love your channel. You’re very good at this.
