If you use Fujifilm in manual, the LCD screen tells you the truth with regard to brightness tones and how you have set you exposure, which i love. On the xt3, if you swipe downward with your finder on the LCD, it displays RGB & Brightness Histograms in display, which can protect your higher key color bright value from being clipped. And just for fun, every camera will read 18% grey card as being less than middle tone value between white and black. Good job on presenting this well.

Jibs J but olease DO remember... it doesnt work on column 1 (extreme left column)... that column has like 8 to 9 stops in it,depending on your camera models. We are doing Part II of this video to demystify this Column 1 very soon.
After eight years with a Nikon DSLR, its only today that I understood the value of the histogram in relation to getting the nearest fine exposure. Another important note is that whenever I used to see spikes I would conclude over/under exposed. The coolest part was 'James' on the histogram (see 4.30min of the video). The comparison stroke me...Its not an easy thing to understand where James fall in the histogram. But the 4/10s explanation (i.e.four Fstops)to move 'James' in mid-tone....is the crux of this video. Thanks Andrew....from the bottom of my ....D7500 and D90 :(. I will surely sit down and watch all your photography videos. Just subscribed and added to my bookmarks and shared with my in law.

Great tips. Enjoy the easy & simple explanation without getting too technical. Appreciate if you can give a lesson on Dslr sensor cleaning. As an enthusiastic photographer is not practical to send dslr for sensor cleaning every months esp to shoot to often & changing lens now & then. It cost about RM100 to clean a couple a dots/dirts each times and hv to wait a couple of weeks. Guess this is all. Thanks for everything!

Very informative videos, i have one question about exposure compentation, How light metering for get perfect exposure outdoor , example : 3 object ( man, sky and forest )?
He is such a guy, he can do magic with his cellphone camera. No need to ask which model he uses. There is very less of a difference between high end and entry level camera if you are doing normal photography like shown in the video.

Hi Andrew. Nice tutorial. I normally use one trick .I share with you. First I keep my settings in Auto mode . Then I took one sample shot. Then I check the histogram of the sample shot , next I change the mode into M , and change the three parameters as per my desired shot. Its a little easy to me to get proper exposure histogram. Hi Andrew. Nice tutorial. I normally use one trick .I share with you. First I keep my settings in Auto mode . Then I took one sample shot. Then I check the histogram of the sample shot , next I change the mode into M , and change the three parameters as per my desired shot. Its a little easy to me to get proper exposure histogram. Whatever happened to flash/hand-held meter? They don't apply to digital cameras? Is histogram better for digital camera exposures?
