    I have a 2023 Mini Cooper SE delivered in August of 2022 and barely made the old tax rebate. Bought the medium trim. l already put almost 9,000 miles to the car and I couldn't be happier with it. The most fun to drive car I've ever owned by far. I haven't had any issues. I think it's the perfect commuter car for anyone needing a small, zippy card for around town. Although nowadays with so many EVs out there, and this one not qualifying for the $7,500 tax rebate anymore, most people will find better options for their money.

    We are closing in on 4,000 miles in 6 months on ours. We love it. The range is great for around town and it’s fun. We got the very cheapest one. And it was still eligible for the tax break in June. Great value.

      That’s awesome!! I originally wanted just the Signature with no options, but this was the lowest trim available for ‘23 at time of order. Still very happy with it. It definitely is a great value for what you get. Happy Driving! - Tyler

    It looks amazing right off the bat but so good to hear it delivers for you on the fun factor as well. All the things a MINI should be, mixed with the fun of electric... as a second vehicle, I think Tyler nailed it and can't wait to see how it holds up for you!

    • @EverydayEV
      @EverydayEV  Год назад

      Thank you!! Yes absolutely, the Mini has all of the characteristics of a Mini but in a fun electrified way. I expect it to hold up well given it shares the powertrain with the BMW i3, so hoping to get as many miles as possible in the next 5 years. Can't wait to take it on some road trips next year! - Tyler

    Exactly what we just did. We got a 2024 SE, Iconic. We also have a Tesla and needed a second affordable EV. I am loving it. We had a JCW in the past and I knew we loved Mini already. The EV experience is unique and I love having all the manual knobs and controls while having the EV convenience.

    Great review guys.
    The range is more than enough for people who live in urban areas but that said the new Mini (2024) has much more in the way of range but it does not look as good & the speedo panel has sadly disappeared.

      Thanks Will! I’ll definitely add those to the list. I did want to do a highway range test since it is winter and I have winter tires on right now. Just need it to get cold again. So far DCFC has done surprisingly well for this little car but want to do more testing. - Tyler

    Hi there, that extra toggle on the start stop button cluster is actually for the front and back parking sensors and not for the heated steering wheel. The rear parking sensors and camera doesnt give you that toggle. Love the video

      The heated steering wheel switch is next to the indicator stalk The blank switch pointed to is for automatic parking

    Did you ever get around to removing the driver's side visor? I gave it a shot to replace it with the grab handle, but had no luck- didn't want to break or scratch anything.

      Thanks for the comment! We tint the rear hatch window! I have to check on the percentage, but we did ceramic to help with the heat. Our biggest regret is not doing the sunroof since it barely comes tinted from the factory… - Brandan

    My Mini SE came with Summer tires and it was perfect buy not great in NY, does anyone recommend any all-season tires? I had to replace few times since the tires shake even balanced. I think the car is picky with which tires you use.

    3 hours on AC charging realistic? In Europe it seems Mini SE has 11kwh charger on-board so it can charge in less than 2.5 hours on AC Charging.

    The seat chime shouldn’t go if your seatbelt is buckled…it’s the chime to tell you to put it on…I have the 2023 Countryman and I hate it too so I put on my seatbelt before I turn the car on and it doesn’t go off…looked like you had your seatbelts on, so that’s weird…unless you have stuff in the back seats that’s making it tell you to buckle in the back?

    Nice review. Does anyone know if you can use a Tesla home charger to charge it?

    • @EverydayEV
      @EverydayEV  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks for the comment! We have the Tesla Universal Wall Connector installed at our home which has a built in adapter that works with our MINI. If you have just the Tesla Wall Connector, you’ll have to purchase a third party adapter as it’s a different connector type and won’t work with the MINI. - Brandan

    I have the same car as you here in the UK. I have never ben able too get the display to read more than 3.0kw/h despite driving the car like a nun. And you had winter tyres on as well whereas I do not. Never been able to get more than 95miles range showing on the display despite its wltp of 145.

    Why do you not drop the seat? There should be a lever that jacks the seat up and down. It is not the most logical since you let it return to center and then push up or down to "ratchet" the seat up or down.

      Hi Olli’s Place! Thanks for your comment. I am 5’4” and Brandan is 6’1”. He does have very limited space with the sunroof support beam behind his head and the drivers side, side visor cuts into his headspace. If we didn’t have the panoramic roof, he would have plenty of space. - Tyler

    It's not so much about one's height.. torso length is more relevant. I'm 6'2" and have long legs and average torso length and fit perfectly. Your partner sounds as though he has a longer torso and shorter legs?

    That's WAY too much for what you get imo. A city car for nearly 40k is asinine.
