I saw you guys my freshman year of college at 19. My college roommates and my girlfriends all I drove from the big city to the middle of nowhere hillbilly Beaumont, TX to see you!! That weekend was a test of loyalty bc it rained the entire weekend, it was windy and muddy! We slept in our car, driving for miles, made it all the way up to the front of the crowd and had the best times of our lives. It brings back those carefree and young adult memories. And now… It feels like I’m watching my dads friends play their instruments in the garage. What used to feel like living life and feeling free and passionate now feels and looks like someone’s dads garage cover band who’s losing hair. I get it we all age. But. Loose the damn vest and the dad band. Your voice is too passionate and full of potential for this. Not hating against “dad bands” but, plz, don’t interfere with my “living wild and free by having band mates look like Santana and Tenacious D. Your voice is a time capsule for so many. We don’t want to see ourselves as “old” just yet. ❤
