I like that you didn't bronze your forehead, I think it looks much better. I just can't understand why people contour or bronze up their foreheads, it just looks muddy and odd and I just end up having to do my best to ignore it. I would have possibly moved the contour up along the side of your face a bit (maybe to your eyebrow level) but not all the around your forehead and not just a simple very obvious straight line like they did here. I agree on your notes on the foundation as I think it just looks patchy, but then I don't wear foundation at all as I don't like the texture of heavy foundation and find light foundation (as I just said) patchy so I'm no expert. I love your eye look, though, but you're right about the order!
I think an important thing to remember when following these types of videos is that it’s for helping out to apply onto others, not necessarily yourself. Thats why there’s some things that would be weird to do on yourself (i.e., smiling for lip line because it makes the lips tighter and easier to fill) but this is so fun to watch no matter what! ♥️
Honestly I feel like if you don't have a 100% porcelain face, extreme eye looks and lips just never really work. Like me personally I can't rock it without to coverage. Anyone else agree?
Mikayla Cross exactly! unless i have a full coverage base i feel like heavy eyes and lips look bad because all the dark colors plus my skin imperfections it looks so messy and distracts from the makeup. honestly i feel like anyone can make a model with perfect skin and features look good, so this isn't the best way to show that someone is talented as an mua.
With non-powdered foundation you just wait for it to dry down and then put the contour, and the eye makeup you do before you do the rest of your face (in order: upper lid concealer, upper lid eyeshadow, eyeliner, foundation, undereye&face concealer, lower lashline eyeshadow)
I never set my face bc I have super dry skin so putting powder all over my face just really emphasises dry spots. Instead I just wait for my foundation to dry down before contouring and blush etc. I just make sure I do my brows and eye makeup in that time
I liked the concept but I wished u really followed it more with the eyeshadow, the colours the intensity and the way she did the mascara. Maybe for a next time that you really try to not do it your way? Not trying to hate in any way, but I thought that you could use it more.
ahahadelaaijde it wouldn’t matter one bit because 90% of what they actually do to the model is cut out to make the cosmetics they are selling look simple and effective when they are just like any other brand. This is for advertisement, not actually teaching.
You did a really good job! 😀👍 There was a *LOT* missing from that video. Like the fact that a MUA would conceal spots when doing under eyes etc. They also would have put another coat of mascara on at the end. The mascara half way through is to help visualise the look etc. Of course your eyes are going to look different you used a different pallet and still used some of your own techniques, like with that last shadow she only put it on the centre and you put it on a larger area... you're a more shimmering person! 😀 Great video! Was this a shortened video as a promo to buy tickets to classes or something?
That revolution cream reminds me a lot of a oil control cream I use from body shop. It is so good. Highly recommend for oily skin. Makes your face matte in seconds ❤️
I think the finished look you ended up with looks really lovely! I think we just focus on our own imperfections too much. I do not notice any flaws in your under-eyes or your complexion with this lighter level of coverage. I also really love the soft, blended look of this eyeshadow. A+, Soph!
Sooooo you should DEFFO turn this into a series type thing like doing it with different mua’s I think it’s so cool to see different techniques everyone uses❤️❤️
You really need to stop doubting yourself! Your a great MUA even if you haven't taken a course and you a great at your own type of makeup! This was a fun video xxx
Notification squaaaad! Also Soph I completely agree with you when you were speaking about setting powder... I could never NOT set my entire face. I really don’t understand how people do it hahah.
You are beautiful and you don’t need to be so hard on yourself! The look looks great on you and you really can’t see any darkness in your under eyes. Obviously you do what you’re happy and comfortable with but I just wanted to say that you really look wonderful 💛💛
Yours is much brighter and warm toned/orange/red for both the lids and lips. I like how your skin looks with less bronzer but just like you did I don't think the jaw contour part does much besides look unnatural
Girl you are very pretty. It's funny how we can never see ourselves as being pretty, while we think everyone else looks pretty. I still have a hard time imagining that I'm attractive looking, but my husband swears I'm the cutest girl he's ever seen. Just knowing that is a good place to start. Personally, I've always thought I must have a weird face because every makeup look I try to copy just looks like a hot mess on me.
Your video was so funny! „How to get eyebrows like that? Step 1: be her!“ that really cracked me up 😂😂😂 and by the way Soph, you look stunning too!! 😘😘
"She just did a random dot! How did that help?! " Love your reaction! Is the exact same thing I would have said :) Thumbs up for the video :) Hugs and kisses
thank you for actually following what she did and not changing it because it isnt what you usually do. some people just change it and cheat. thank you for doing it properly❤️
Hey Soph, your first palette collaboration with Revolution recently came to New Zealand with the rest of Revolution’s products, and I went buy the eyeshadow and highlighter palettes and they were both sold out!!! I guess i’m going to have to get them next time. Love you loads ❤️❤️❤️
This looks good on you ! You don't need coverage (not that anybody does but natural makeup can also be difficult to acheive and very flattering 😉) Love your videos 😘
My natural eye brows are just like her from the model , have perfect skin like her, long lashes and big thick brows. I never have any breakoutson my face in my life. i dont do my eye liner and mascara after the eyeshadow . you did a pretty good job soph :)
As a qualified MUA, the way Charlotte did the makeup baffles me 😂 I would never do eyeliner & mascara first! In regards to foundation with a brush, I use them on clients as they are easier to clean than sponges between other clients, but I would always ask what kind of coverage they want! I would love to do your makeup Soph 😍 and your look still turned out beautiful as always! Xx
The thing I’ve noticed with the top professional makeup artists is that they really don’t overthink anything they do. They are chill and almost sloppy about it which creates an effortless look.
Ughh QUEEN !!! 😍😍 U don't understand how much u suit black liner in ur water line u look stunning 😍😍
It makes her eyes pop so much!! 😍😍
Ikr
Yeah she’s amazing and her hair is lush x
I like that you didn't bronze your forehead, I think it looks much better. Hey I would love it if you could subscribe to my channel, but only if you would like :) xx
Exactly. I have always wished soph would stop bronzing her forehead altogether as it's always so muddy. She looks so much better without it. 💗
the way i get rid of fallout is taking a tiny bit of moisturiser on a beauty blender and it gets rid of it so fast without messing up ur base makeup!!
The model’s insta is @rawan she’s so stunning such as you !!! 💗 XX
Yeah she is such a beauty .. Arabian girls are stunning 😍🔥
You should follow a Lisa Eldridge look!!
Matilda McKinstry yes please!!
Especially this one with vintage makeup. My favourite!
I love the Tippi Hedren one
I think an important thing to remember when following these types of videos is that it’s for helping out to apply onto others, not necessarily yourself. WHERES THE NOTIF SQUAAAD?
btw I’m a small RUclipsr! xx
Right here xxx
Hellooooo 👋❤
Honestly I feel like if you don't have a 100% porcelain face, extreme eye looks and lips just never really work. Like me personally I can't rock it without to coverage. Anyone else agree?
Yeah it makes me feel like there's too much going on
Mikayla Cross exactly! unless i have a full coverage base i feel like heavy eyes and lips look bad because all the dark colors plus my skin imperfections it looks so messy and distracts from the makeup. honestly i feel like anyone can make a model with perfect skin and features look good, so this isn't the best way to show that someone is talented as an mua.
Omg u look so pretty in light coverage & less bronzer!!!
Though I love how u normally do ur makeup too! 😂❤
With non-powdered foundation you just wait for it to dry down and then put the contour, and the eye makeup you do before you do the rest of your face (in order: upper lid concealer, upper lid eyeshadow, eyeliner, foundation, undereye&face concealer, lower lashline eyeshadow)
I couldn't do mascara and eyeliner before eyeshadow lol x
Me neither! The fallout from the eyeshadows would be all over my eyeliner and mascara lol
I did it before in a crimes against makeup challenge on a Facebook live and it made me want to take my mascara off and redo it lol. Never again 😂
@@chelwright9116 Haha! That would be something I would do, I'm sure it still looked lovely though 😁
You are too kind. It looked OK but I prefer eyeshadow first for a cleaner look. I took it off and redone it off camera 😂
Unless you don't use eyeshadow in the first place😂
Girl you look so great with more natural makeup 💕
I never set my face bc I have super dry skin so putting powder all over my face just really emphasises dry spots. Instead I just wait for my foundation to dry down before contouring and blush etc. I just make sure I do my brows and eye makeup in that time
Love your videos Soph! I try out things I see in your videos and I always look and feel great about myself after. Thanks for all greatness you offer
Soph, no hate but I think you look better without bronzer on your forehead??? Idk.....
Same
Same.
Same
Same
That’s what I’ve always thought too ✨ just an opinion tho
Omg I never clicked faster in my life 🙊🙌🏼xxx
LOVED this eye look on you, Soph! That black eyeliner makes such a change, and suits you so well!
You should do a similar eyeshadow look with the black waterline, it looks super sultry on you and compliments your eyes! ❤️
I get ur point but tbh the makeup artist made no sense she done liner and mascara then eyeshadow which just makes no sense
The black eyeliner makes ur blue eyes pop so much more than usually 😍😍
Love the black eyeliner in the waterline and the nose contour! Yes your a queen
You did a really good job! 😀👍
There was a *LOT* missing from that video. Like the fact that a MUA would conceal spots when doing under eyes etc. They also would have put another coat of mascara on at the end. The mascara half way through is to help visualise the look etc.

Great video!

I GENUINELY CANT WAIT FOR SOPH TO DO CHRISTMAS VIDOES!!! 🎄
That revolution cream reminds me a lot of a oil control cream I use from body shop. It is so good. Highly recommend for oily skin. Makes your face matte in seconds ❤️
Rebecca Wood Hey I would love it if you could subscribe to my channel, but only if you would like :) xx
AHHH! I love these types of videos!! They work so well on your channel 🙌🏼 lots of love girly 💓
I think the finished look you ended up with looks really lovely! I think we just focus on our own imperfections too much. I do not notice any flaws in your under-eyes or your complexion with this lighter level of coverage. I also really love the soft, blended look of this eyeshadow. A+, Soph!
Soph that highlighter looks STUNNING! I think you should try to use it like this again! Love ya
#questionoftheday what are your thoughts on asmr??
Back eyeliner in the water line makes your eyes pop so much!!
You look great with this look!! Maybe without the black eyeliner in waterline but more foundation coverage, this natural vibe really suits you!
You did good! I love how she mapped out the winged eyeliner; it's a great trick!
I love your face when you're watching the girl's reaction to her makeup 😂😂😂😂
yessss, your content is getting sooo good!
Aw Soph you don't look like a mess! You did pretty good for going so far out of your comfort zone! I think you look striking😍

I’m a small RUclipsr btw 💞😁
Yours is much brighter and warm toned/orange/red for both the lids and lips.
I like how your skin looks with less bronzer but just like you did I don't think the jaw contour part does much besides look unnatural
I still like how the eyeliner in your waterline emphasizes the eyes color😊😊
Gorgeous!! Love this video! 🙌🏼💞
Girl you are very pretty. It's funny how we can never see ourselves as being pretty, while we think everyone else looks pretty. I kind of love this makeup look on you ! It is different but you look gorgeous ! 😘
You should do another one of these with a pixiwoo/real techniques masterclass, Sam and Nic are really good at teaching more.
Soph I think you should recreate this video but putting in your own techniques to see how it would look different, btw I love you so much💕💕
This looks good on you ! You don't need coverage (not that anybody does but natural makeup can also be difficult to acheive and very flattering 😉)

Love you soph!❤️❤️ I enjoy watching your videos.
