295 days ago i started my running journey with this mans voice pushing me. I started at 4 miles a day. Now im up to 13.1 PER DAY. I run my first official half marathon sunday. And my first full marathon two weeks after that. At 40 years old. Its easy not to run everyday. But the suffering strengthens my soul. Thats what Goggins is doing. Im all in with it.
I have started many times, have had so many tragedies, state violence, sexual abuse, discrimination, exile, death of a young relative, terrible diagnosis of a relative etc. I myself was wrongly diagnosed with chronic pain, suffered all my life, but never stopped trying looking for a solution, stopped working out like I always loved, but started doing it now regularly no matter pain or no pain, life can be very painful but keep going, you're wonderful and real. I mostly don't believe in all these nonsense sudden success stories, most are fake and I don't bother with them anyways, too busy with my own. Thank you for being so real
The way Goggins talks about embracing breakdowns and scars as opportunities for growth hits different. It's not about avoiding pain or seeking comfort, it's about finding strength in the struggle and coming out stronger on the other side. That's the mindset I want to embody.
I have a fucked up nerve in my right leg.. Long story short I have to wear a brace to wear shoes. But thanks to goggins I taught myself to run on it I got myself a better brace and now 6 mile run is light work

Do you know most people are fat due to some sort of trauma. I am fat from trauma. And yes it is a journey. The torque it takes for a person with trauma to turn around is At least 10x harder. Did you know that stress is the factor ( cortisol) that keeps you fat. People 's minds have to get right first before everything else is shedding off. Thank God I never had to take meds but I like you had reached a weight I became uncomfortable with myself. And one day I started to lose weight again. Now I dropped x amount and still going. But it makes u think who you want in your life. I can't be around no miserable peeps. But that's my journey with my resolution
