arrived home after some souls, my legs feels like lead, good pot in my head sittin in my seat, want lisn to some nice beats and now iam watchin some gread blading stuff, damn iam hungry xD
I've been rollerblading for about 20 years I stopped a couple years ago and started up again, and I love how the sports getting more popular but..... All this small trick bullshit makes it look more like a skate boarding video then rollerblading. What happened to big tricks? you know the ones most skateboarders don't do cuz it's too gnarly #fish #eric perkett
Haha I stopped budd didn't leave I had 2 bad injury's n I have a job haha n a family n I'm back n do bigger shit then this in my sleep I love rollerblading but just as the sport gets popular it's looks like the amplitude is regressing not progressing just saying looks like little skate board tricks
I honestly feel like them is degressing rollerblading. The branding makes pro rollerblading look less skillful, fun and cool. Dont get it. Other than broskow and soke clips... I was skating better than this in 2000
The whole industry is a shadow of what it was back then but bitching about people's edits ain't gonna help. It's a bad look for all concerned. It's new content. Some decent skating. People had fun. No harm in that.
@@fumurph I agree whole heartedly. My comment was not directed at this edit particularly but THEM as a whole. I love Julio and respect him to the fullest which makes my hateraid hard to swollow. Paying a team to look cool and to have fun over skill and ability is a choice I can not get behind. Especially when its representing the skater owned brand of the industry. I like most rollerbladers admire and was inspired by the ASA, skill and hammers. A 3 stair and wallride wouldnt have gotten me into rollerblading. Sure its a nitch and fun but that doesnt get respect which rollerblading has lacked for a long long long time
@@mightymouse6848 Yeah, I understand your strong feelings come from wanting skating to be presented in as good a light as possible. As far as the standard of the skating goes, the kids that might be tempted to pull on a pair of skates don't need to see Shima lacing a 15-kink zig-zag rail. They only need to see someone better than themselves. They weren't alive back in the day so they've got a different frame of reference. Chris Edwards doing a frontside on a kerb was enough to get me hyped when I was a nipper. Maybe an attainable level isn't such a bad thing. No drama anyway dude. We agree that it'd be great to see skating reach a new audience and grow ✌
@@mightymouse6848 @Rocknroll As someone who started skating back in the mid-to late 90s and has been a part of the scene since and watched blading blow up to fade away to slowly climb back into the lime light to where it is now I can def see both sentiments and sides of the coin. I want skating to look good and for people to see it and be amazed and think its really cool and crazy at the same time, be inspiring and also eye opening to those who may see interest in wanting to either get back on blades or pick up a pair for the first time. Its good that blading isnt all crazy hammers now because that just pushes people to try tricks and stunts they arent ready for and dont have the proper skills and time on blades to be attempting dangerous rails or obstacles. Id rather see someone do a super steezed out easier trick on a regular rail or ledge than see some insane spin to win disaster gap to drop rail stunt where it looks like the skater has no control of what they are doing and just throwing themselves at said obstacle hoping to get lucky. That isnt exciting and fun to watch, nor inspiring, its just ignorant and dangerous. Bladers need to learn the core fundamentals first before attempt highly dangerous stunts, it makes their skating and skating as a whole look a lot better when they do. Stuff like this tho just looks like what we used to do when out during a session just having fun with the blade homies messing around and doing silly tricks that arent really meant to be taken as serious blading, but yet in today's industry, that is what skating has become basically whether we like it or not. There are pros now getting wheels and frames with their name on them doing tricks I could have done in my sleep back in day but that is just how these dudes want to skate now a days... can many of them still hit rails and do bigger switch ups and harder skilled tricks, for sure, but they prob dont see much fun in it and dont see a need to do it as it only is going to get them hurt and they arent getting paid enough, or at all, to risk their health for it. I'm sure if some of these dudes were getting livable pay checks from skating, they would be more apt to try bigger crowd pleasing tricks. For now tho, I think everyone is just out having fun skating how they feel like and not how others want them to.
