    The most beautiful music I have ever heard; that makes me feel out of this world,
    in a special place, full of beauty and peace.That's fantastic, I never get tired of listening to this Overtüre, and this Orchestra knows how to play it beautifully !
    Thanks for this gift !

    Gottes Berührung durch Richard Wagner
    Minute 1
    Meine Hände sind schweiß nass; wenn ich die Augen schließe sehe ich einen Wald im saftigen Grün, die Sonnen wirft silberne Fäden zu Boden
    Minute 2:00
    Ich erhebe mich aus dem Wald, und überblicke ein Tal; die Morgensonne taucht den Horizont in ein strahlendes Gelb,
    Minute 3:50
    die Vögel singen,
    4:30
    ein wärmendes Gefühl durchdringt meinen Körper und breitet sich aus; Gänsehaut;
    5:50
    die Welt wird bunter und lauter; die Gefühle überschlagen sich; jede Faser meines Körpers zieht sich zusammen um der überwältigenden Schönheit zu entfliehen, die droht mich unter sich zu erdrücken,
    6:25
    Ein Blitz; Gott persönlich senk sich herab;
    6.50
    sein gleißendes Licht durchdringt jede Zelle und erleuchtet den Wald in einer Schönheit die kein lebendes Wesen begreifen kann;
    7:20
    sein Licht betäubt alle unserer Sinne, wir fallen in einen wunderschönen Traum dessen Schönheit wir niemals zur Gänze erfassen können.
    8:40
    das helle Licht zieht sich zurück und hinterlässt jedes Geschöpf, jede Pflanze, in Frieden und Wohlgefallen
    9:30
    wir erwachen aus der Trance; durch Gottes Berührung sehen wir in eine wunderschöne Zukunft; niemand kann es uns nehmen, niemand kann uns zerstören, denn die Schönheit die wir erfahren haben, wird für immer in uns bleiben;

    Many conductors say they want this played at their funeral. It's sublimely beautiful. I saw Lohengrin 5 times at the SAn Francisco Opera in the 80's. Did I like it? heck ya. There is NOTHING like the mysticism, passsion of Wagner's mucic. Once you are hooked, you are hooked for life. Enjoy everyone and be inspired like I am. Can't you just see the Holy Spirit decending in a etheral blue vapor as Wagner musically envisioned? I can.

      +Richard de Meath Not necessarily true! A balanced mind is one that looks beyond the glitz. As one should not judge a book by its cover! One should also not be dazzled by the false light of celebrity status, as many were like Hitler an admirer of Richard Wagner. Still I do agree that this is the most ethereal piece from Wagner that takes one up to a lofty expansive view, where the air is clean.

    Wagner's music enables you to explore the emotions that you didnt think you have before. You thought that you figured-out all your inner self throgh other great musics but when you hear Lohengrin or other Wagner's music for the first time, you are captured by a new sets of emmotions. This music is just above enything else ever compsed by any human being.The only human creation that surpassed it is another of wagner's creation called parsifal. The finale of parsifal is the Cream de la Cream of all art. It's as if all the beautiful things that a human being can muster is just a prelude to the parsifal finale. It can only fit the most Heavely realms.

      Well stated. It is simply true Wagner's art is something apart. A Ring Cycle is comparable only to the Eleusian Mysteries of ancient Greece or the Orestia of Aeschylus. Nothing else ever equals that experience.

    For the past few hours, I've been writing about Ludwig II, Bavaria's last true king. Listening to a glorious musical composition like this, it is understandable why Fairy Tale King Ludwig adored Richard Wagner. My better half is prejudiced against opera. So I said: "Just listen to this for one minute." I have to admit that I prefer preludes over the actual voice parts. Musical creations like these are beyond beautiful. I can't continue writing because tears are veiling my vision.

  • @DeepHalder
    @DeepHalder 10 лет назад +30

    Eminently successful in public, Wagner enjoyed domestic tranquility in the company of his dogs, which were his pride and joy. Two of them, Russ and Koss, accompanied him on daily walks. Russ was eventually buried at Wagner’s feet at his gravesite. But his most beloved dog was perhaps a King Charles spaniel named Pep. It was one of the few creatures to whom Wagner exposed his innermost thoughts. Pep would respond naturally to his master’s changing tone of voice with corresponding jumping and barking, but Wagner discovered something more. It began to appear that Pep was sensitive to the emotional tone of music. Wagner noticed that the dog would respond differently to certain melodies and musical phrases as he sang or played them on the piano. For instance, certain passages in E-flat major elicited a calm tail wag from Pep, while passages in E major caused him to stand up in excitement. Wagner discovered, through Pep’s consistent reactions, that he could associate specific musical keys with particular moods and emotions in drama. So Wagner drafted the dog Pep to co-write his next two operas, Tannhauser and Lohengrin. Pep had his own stool next to Wagner’s piano, and whenever the composer was having trouble with a passage, he would turn to Pep for his reaction and rewrite the piece according to the dog’s directions. Thus, Wagner was able to achieve the effect, in Tannhauser, of having E-flat major convey the mood of holy love and salvation and E major suggest sensual love and debauchery. In Lohengrin, individual characters were associated-with Pep’s help-not only with particular musical keys but also with specific musical instruments and themes.

As 6:32 started playing, i was staring at the tree roofs swinging with the wind, and then, i realized i was right in the middle,in the home, in the hearth of the "schöpferisch" Germanic Geist: der deutsche Wald. And i felt that, i felt the goosebumps, i felt the regenerating fire from which life and a new spirit is reborn...even as a non-German. Lang lebe das deutsche Kulturgut! Es soll niemals untergehen!

    The sweeping emotional chords as orchestrated by the strings in the beginning sets the mood for the drama emerging ahead. Even though Wagner was a supreme egoist, the depth of his soul was immense. It really went far beyond any politics that would follow.

      was thinking the same thing.... but it isn't tooooo hard to believe... it just pre dates new age buddhist hipster spirituality...and was easier to access then... before all this so-called helpful technology... this is the sound of reason and clarity ringing like a bell at the edge of the forest of eternity

      In this time, there was no hurry, no Internet, no Computer.
      The time was harder then yet, but some familys had son´s like him..
      and enough time for writing music and komposings..

      Wagner is widely considered as the single composer who opened the door to modern music. He also paved the way to modern cinema which started at his Bayreuth festival theatre.

      Sure, artist? Give me a hint what stuff you won't tolerate 130 years after your death, mate.

      Wagner finished Lohengrin moment before the authority issued for his arrest.

    Wonderful music. Good choice of pictures too apart from the last sunset landscape - it has two horrid wind turbines on the skyline

    I've always thought Wagner was Palestrina's long lost son... he did so much, but what really feels unique to him is his reinvention of the suspension

    OMG ! This is Charles Chaplin's "The Great Dictator" (1940) soundtrack ! In this beautiful scene where Hitler plays with a world map like a capricious child with a toy...And then blows it. In this scene, even this monster appears human...Never knew this was from Wagner...Makes Chaplin appears even more genius

    The music YES! the pictures... I don't know, it could be the northern cost of California, Washington, Canada, ... Patagonia (either side, Argentina or Chile) Many forests. All of them full of magic. I can hear Wagner in my head and my heart walking in wild pristine lands far far away from Europa.

    @sahandaman which is the wagner piece , which they always use for war videos ?
    i think it may have been used in the omen . very sinister with a rythym way before its time . big kettle drums every 2 or 3 seconds etc . nor ride of the valkyries ?????????
