- First solo with 13 hours on October 14, 2019. Pardon my rambling during the flight; trying to stick to check lists! At one point I didn't hold down the button hard enough while responding to ATC so he had to follow up with me.
Thanks to Greenville Aviation out of KGMU in Greenville, SC for the outstanding flight instruction, and thanks to TW Air for the #Fly97F Piper Archer! What an awesome plane to learn how to fly on!
I used a GoPro Hero 7 Black for the wingtip cam mounted on a Rock Steady Slim Surface Mount, and a GoPro Hero 3 Black mounted inside. Audio captured via the Sporty's Hero 3 Audio cable.
Excellent handling & control friend!!!!
Im in ground school at gmu and taking my second endorsement test this Thursday so I can take my official faa exam! Wish me luck
Love your videos btw
So happy to see that you’ve ventured into RUclips. Been here before 100k :) 19th sub. Keep going and flying. Found you on the Greenville Aviation Instagram page. Only a couple more years till I get to start flying.
I fly out of GMU and I’ve flown all of these planes…making me nostalgic 😭😭😭
When I’m older I’m definitely getting into aviation
get into it now bro, im 16 and starting soon… the earlier the better
Hey! I live in Columbia, SC working on my pilots license too. I plan on starting a RUclips channel too once I get my license. Would love to meet up sometime and talk about YouTubing and aviation in general! :-) flew to the Runway cafe for my birthday last year, maybe could meet up there sometime! Good luck with the channel and your pilot license!
Did you get your license after this flight?
Not this flight, no. This is during my training where you have to accumulate 10 hours of solo flight. I got my license a few months later.
@@BroPilots very good. Glad your flying solo now. Did you buy your own plane?
@@BrotherTimothyClark yes sir! We ended up selling it, and now we’re on to our second!
@@BroPilots I will hopefully have the opportunity asuming everything works out to fly in a piper archer so... We shall see.
I'm totally blind so for the best hands on experience, I'm hoping to fly the plane the majority of the timeddAnd yes... We will have a sighted pilot so no concerns there. lol
what age are you able to apply for a license.
I think you can start flying at 14 and get your license at 17
one simple mistake... you started to do turn off procedures w/o you checklist !!! NEVER do any of those w/o a checklist! Cheers and fair winds!!
PD: Congrats for you FSF !!!!
Wow Credit to your instructor unless your a natural. I’ve been flying for 33 years and I don’t see many as good as you.
Thanks! I’d like to think it’s a little bit of both lol
amazing...i too want to learn Flying .Hopefully will do that soon.Love from india
Is there a height limit on being a pilot
Hey man I’m not far from Greenville, I was looking at using them for doing my PPL. Do they have their 152 still? Also what was your CFI’s name he seems like a great instructor and all around great guy! Please link the website for the school
They do still have either a 150 or 152, but most people don’t use it. My instructors name is Justin Beavers, but he do isn’t instruct there much anymore because he’s moved up to the airlines!
@@BroPilots gotcha do you have an Instagram to follow, I contacted Greenville and found out the 172 had gotten damaged from winds and they are waiting to get it repaired.
First solo whilst the sun is going down? No need for night rating?
Night currency isn’t needed until an hour after sunset 👍🏻
