    I was watching a number of clips to see how the Mitsubishi Canter FG 4x4 would negotiate muddy off-road situations. I am very surprised and pleased. A winch is a must but, I wonder how it would perform if it had portal axles. I am sure they can custom produce that in Australia. Kudos to this team and the filmmaking.

    And that's why 4x4 vehicles have winches. Might as well be trying to go uphill in snot in those conditions lol.

    Another 2004 single cab Fuso (canter) beginner build, nice to see it can get through this slop with a good winch, but I think I'll try to avoid the real muddy seasons. What size of winch are you using?

      Please explain lockers to us....

    • @andrewallason4530
      @andrewallason4530 2 года назад +1

      @@rightright6582lockers (differential locks) are devices that lock two wheels on an axel to rotate at the same rate. Vehicles have differentials to allow the inner and outer wheels to turn at different rates when turning a corner. When in certain conditions, a wheel losing traction will spin freely, taking all the power, and the other wheel on that axel will cease to turn. Many 4x4 vehicles have lockable differentials to overcome this. Going uphill the weight lifts off the front axel, and in mucky conditions, you will easily spin a wheel and go nowhere.
