As someone who diagnoses and provides treatments to people with swallowing disorders… sometimes the head tilt CAN be necessary for some people, and sometimes swallowing pills CAN be too difficult. There are a number of reasons pills could give a person difficulty while swallowing. A head tilt, while not commonly used, is sometimes a necessary strategy for certain deficits. And some people cannot take a handful of pills or vitamins. Some may need to only take one at a time, with apple sauce, or crushed and put into a puree.
I have a friend who sneezes like a semi-automatic. They can sneeze like 15 times in 10 seconds. They're extremely rare, but if you have a friend like that, you know.
I'm allergic to everything except food and mold. I've done 6 years of allergy shots. I have a daily inhaler, nose pray and take ceterizine 2 times per day. And I'm still sneezy! It doesn't help that I have chosen to work in a field I'm allergic too (vet tech) but still....

You should never tilt your head back when swallowing. It opens up the airway and significantly increases your chance of choking/aspiration. Speech-language pathologists, ENTs and laryngologists that specialize in swallowing disorders recommend keeping a neutral head position or tucking your chin to your chest for swallowing pills.

I am the same way and I actually found a video of something even easier! Instead of throwing you head back, tilt it forward so like your chin is touching your chest, it makes swallowing pills so much easier
So I really hope Lisa isn't serious about those things. Swallowing a pill is hard for some people because of the texture of the pill, not because what size it is. Also the sneezing, you really can't control it and can be dangerous if you hold it in.
Yes some pills are more chalky and get stuck on your tongue if you don't start them far back in the throat. The chalky pills are usually the cheaper ones too.
If I'm taking multiple horse pills at the same time I'm going to need to tilt my head back. 2 Advil, no, but a vitamin and a fish oil need to be oriented correctly or it hurts all the way down.
Yeah... remember when it was called a "pet peeve" and people just dealt with it? Or just moved on, I guess. There's a huge difference between an "ick" and a red flag, in my book.
