Wait I love the idea of rephrasing goals as standards! I feel like sometimes when you set a goal it's like well once I've achieve this I can kinda like give up but when you change it to a standard, it makes it so that you're constantly working to better yourself and have this goal be your new standard. I love this!
Love love love your videos! I hope this feedback is received well; it stems from my personal experiences. I wanted to gently point out that promoting the concept of "good" versus "bad" foods and restricting cravings can potentially foster an unhealthy relationship with food and eating. I'm not implying you have any issues; I simply want to raise awareness of this risk. My opinion is no more significant than anyone else's; I've been in eating disorder recovery for several years and learned through therapy that such thought patterns, when heavily focused on, can be detrimental to one's relationship with food. All love xxx Ps. I believe that applying the same detached, objective approach you mentioned regarding the gym to food choices would foster a healthier mindset on eating well.
I absolutely love your channel! After 4 years of unexplained infertility me and my partner are looking into IVF and feel nervous but very hopeful for our journey to parent hood. I am very inspired by you and so grateful to have found your videos! ❤️❤️
I'm a new mom too (of a one-month old), so I love this motivation for the new year! & I really like the re-framed thinking of standards vs goals - that's such a healthy + encouraging mindset to adopt
I totally agree that the small things we do to enhance our mundane moments make a HUGEEE difference!! I'm also a christian and feel like when I lean in and cherish the smaller gifts, it acknowledges that the Lord not only gives us the big amazing outstanding moments in our lives, but he also gives us the small moments that are meant to be cherished!
We are in different points in our lives. you are a first time mom and I am a college student living with parents and I still relate to you a lot. May God bless your baby boy and your marriage! Happy New Year Rachel, thank you for sharing the standards you are setting for yourself and being your authentic self! 💕
I love your goals for this year, I remember when I had my son in 2022. My mindset changed, I remember I told my family that I have a standard for my family and I will not be going below my standards. I became a stay at home (lost my job) and God spoke to us that this where I belong right now. From 22-24 we have been on track with our standards. We serve the Lord with gratitude and joy, we eat healthy, active, no screen time for our son., and read the Bible, These 5 things are non-negotiable for us. I’m proud when I look at my 2 year old singing worship songs, loves to pray and loves church. God knows the desires of your heart and for your family. If you and your husband put God first, he will help you maintain the discipline to achieve the standards you have placed for the best version of yourself. It’s about progress not perfection.
I love your 2025 outlook and standards VS Goals and the idea of changing up the wording to make it more fitting for the season! And eating healthier and cooking more is on my list too! Just finishing up a 7 day fast with my church and its got me kick started for the New Year feeling closer to the Lord and feeling so much more balanced and healthy.
i love the "standard" vs "goals"!! I lovee skims. I'm 35 weeks pregnant rn and I've been living in my bf tees from skims all throughout pregnancy. Sending you all the good vibes for 2025, Rachel!!
I was just talking to my husband about assigning positive or negative emotions to things and you explained it so well! Especially in the newborn days I’m struggling to remember to stay neutral when things don’t go as planned
Hot tip to help you not go out for lunch when you’re out and about. ALWAYS pack an emergency granola/protein bar and a piece of fruit! I’m terrible for forgetting to eat lunch when I do errands or pick something quick from starbucks, but this has helped me so much.
I’m so grateful I found your channel a few months ago! As a new mom I really relate to you, and this video showcases your mindsets which I also adore and feel so inspired by ❤😊
I’m new to your channel. Became pregnant for the first time in 2024 and lost it to a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. I’ve felt so lost since and scared to try again. This video just sparked something in me I can’t thank you enough for. Thanks momma ❤️ Glad I found your channel! Can’t wait to see what this year brings you
I had a really disappointing year with ttc and endo flare ups and unless just have no drive for this year ..I am between giving up and also still hoping it's a balance I'm trying to find. I do like your approach to being good feeling good and looking good..some how feels like less pressure ❤
God bless you and your fam ❤ Love your videos... I need to do my reset for the year, i for sure will be doing one thing a day as you did to be more active in life after work
We're expecting a baby in Feb and LOVE the idea of setting aside some $$ for basics postpartum. I'm writing down a reminder in March (and another in April, just in case it doesn't happen in March lol) to do this + see where in my day I can sneak in a shower or skincare. :)
I honestly play ur videos on mix . I love watching ur videos . I am of same age as urs and I see lots of maturity within you. I am very inspired by you. Please keep making videos. I love watching them.❤❤❤
One thing I'm doing with my husband and I this year is cutting out store bought bread. Saving money and eating better! Also in regards to your 'doing good' section, I've found that my relationship with God got alot closer when I switched to being KJV only. The other versions may seem easier, but I've found out that they're extremely corrupted. There's a really great documentary I can tell you about if you're interested! So glad I found your channel❤
Happppyyy New Year Rachel and Jesse ♥️♥️♥️♥️ Rachel, you mentioned during pregnancy that you’d go back to work a few days a week after his birth. Did you still do this? Xx
