Let's be realistic here people...if you wanna compare this game to anything, yall should be comparing it to Live14...not 2K! Grant it, it does look better then last years Live14...way better actually, and it definitely plays better. Graphically you can make comparisons to 2K, but that's where it stops...the game play is no where near 2K's game play. There is something weird about how this looks but i can't really put my finger on it. I think it's partly how the ball seems to float and partly that the animations don't seem to fluently transition into each other.

Competition breeds effort, While I appreciate what NBA Live is trying to do (and to its credit it is CERTAINLY better than the trash we got lost year) it isn't up to the fidelity present in the 2K Games even with all their flaws (server issues being a big one) Continue on this path EA, it can only mean good things for basketball game enthusiasts.

I've always played 2k and I've never played live but I think I can speak for many 2k fans that we come to this gameplay videos HOPING that the gameplay is good and not necessarily just to say how much better 2k is. 2k got the graphics and mechanics down better so far but live just feels more immersive and gets you in the game more. I think EA will come out on top in both aspects in a couple years just because of the major improvements they have been making

Tried the game yesterday. Its not vastly superior to 2k in the looks dept. There's pros and cons in each. Ultimately, 2k flows better and that makes it look more like a real game of basketball. In terms of gameplay, there's no point in comparison (I would think this is obvious).
Im going to be realistic. 2k definitely has some issues that needs to be addressed that have been a problem for the past 2 games. Live is def improving but we could see better. 2k is leading in basketball right now point blank. Lives' presentation is always on point, and players skin look real as ever, but we just need to see more fluid gameplay and better physics within the players. The passing looks really stiff, and from what I've seen there's little in the way of "signature style" for each player, beyond jump shots. If 2k wasn't dropping the ball so badly with their servers, and a plethora of bugs, Live probably wouldn't be much competition this year, but as it is, I'm going to have to rent Live and try the new patch out before I make a decision. EA Sports has impressed me as of late with significant patches to UFC, and from what I read last year they did a great job of patching Live 14 throughout the season, even if it still fell far short of consumer expectations.
the servers totally makes the difference for me and Live has always been better online anyways but I was surprised at how much better the graphics were over 2K15, Live still has a long ways to go but I love the year-to-year progress they're making

I see the only problem with this game is that there isn't any shot contesting. Other than that this is so far looking better than 2K. No sliding, there's foot planting, the animations are smooth and consistant and the presentation is blowing 2K out the water. Seeing 2K hasn't brought anything new to the game I see Live taking it this year.
live had better arena graphics...more details like those cameramen on each sides, unlike in 2k..only one cameraman each sides..plus the formation of the audience's seat looks more detailed than 2k...

From what I've seen, not just from this video, NBA Live 15 is definitely better than 14. However, when comparing it to 2k15, I think the graphics are as good if not better(in some, but not all, aspects), but the movement and flow just isn't there. There are many times that players are just standing around, while in 2k they are almost always in motion. Players also look robotic and a bit stiff at times. To me, there are also too many turn-around jumpshots, bogus passes, and on some videos of gameplay I've seen, too many standing dunks, especially by players that probably wouldn't or couldn't throw it down like that in a real game in those situations. With all that said, Live 15 is definitely headed in the right direction though.

Too many gay ass animations in 2k. NBA live seems more fluid, 2k is made up of just animations.

The crowd noise and Stadium effects and announcing team get a A+...the game play is just horrible I give it a C-.

The game looks great, but the game play needs work.
Everything in this game looks great...except for the player models and the way they moved...if they fixed it I would buy in an instant...arena looks way better than NBA 2K15
