My buds 3 pro do something I've never seen on a pair of buds before. They only allow the caller to hear my voice in just about any environment. People think I'm home when I'm in the gym. My fav pair of buds to date and it's not close
This is a point they said in a previous video about GB3P that i have only heard here... Every single other review point that the mic isolation on these are mind blowing, with almost no distortion on voice. Maybe they have a bad pair for testing...
Right. I tested mine in the car with the windows down on the highway and the music up to medium loud and the person on the other end said all I hear is your voice. I tested this with two different people and got the same results! These Buds Pro 3 are the truth!
9.5 hours vs 4.5 hour battery life (WITH ANC ON?!) is RIDICULOUS tho... I think I gotta go with the XM5's and they're pretty good priced brand new on eBay 🔥
I love how they automatically lower the music volume when it hears your voice start a conversation with someone else. Although it does the same when I call my dog.
The Buds3 Pro battery increases dramatically by turning off voice commands, UHQ and neck reminders. I was getting around 4h with all of that on and after disabling it I'm comfortable getting 6+ hours with ANC on, which is comparable with my AirPods Pro 2. I love using UHQ at home with Apple Music lossless, but on the road I'm streaming anyways so turning it off isn't a loss at all. Pretty happy with the Buds3 Pro, specially with the LED lights for night walks/runs.
@@gurdialsingh9863 I find it pretty on par with Apple's, they go neck to neck in 95% of use cases. The only scenario in where the AirPods 2 Pro are a bit better are handling high pitch motor sounds, like those annoying super noisy motorcycles. None of them are able to block the sound, but the Airpods manage to reduce the high pitch a bit more.
@@AhmedKathiri Having a bunch of stuff on just to hit the battery life is stupid. And you still have the option to turn them on if needed and if batt longevity isn't crucial at the moment. It's called freedom of choice.
Clearly, if not used any of this sony's because the memory fall last a long time very durable because they're not strictly memory for there are mixture of memory foam and silicone and have been since version 2. Of course, if you use a rubbing alcohol to clean them, we'll destroy them

Yes that's a problem with Samsung, release buds that not every user can use the highest quality until your phone receive the latest update... Imagine apple doing the same with airpods pro 🙁😒
Really? I have been rocking the Buds+ for awhile. Im on my 3rd set. I can get close to 10hrs of use with mine before having to recharge. I use them for my work shift which is 10hrs and have been really great. Only issue I may have with these is the battery life. I know you can save on some battery life by turning off some features but I still don't think it would get close to what I am use to with the Buds+. What do you mainly use your buds pro 3 for? One thing I hate with the Buds+ is the tap to turn up volume. Hardly ever works lol.
I own both. Unfortunately, there is a problem, the eq on the samsung is superficial. If you adjust the bands outside of the presets, the volume greatly decreases, and there is noticibly no effect from the band your are trying to adjust. Overall, the sonys give new life to all music I have listened to, the samsungs give the most energy for hiphop and edm due to bass and volume, albeit they sound worse overall. I thought they would be good for work given the controls, but the buds 3 pro simply die too fast, even with ambient and NC off. The sonys last all day and still somehow have 68 percent by the end of the day. I do love the durability and controls of the buds 3 Pro, but the Sony's just beat them in too many key areas. Hiphop and edm are still top notch on Sony, Samsung just has more bloated bass and slightly more volume.
Bro, I had the same issue with the eq on a Galaxy buds 3 pro. I've contacted their support and they told me to disable developer options. Problem disappeared as soon as I did it
I love my Buds3 Pro, but I wouldn't say they are the clear choice when "prioritizing durability." I've seen many fellow Buds3 Pro owners have their buds break or start overheating after dropping them a single time. Not sure if these are isolated issues, but buyers should be aware.
had xm3 and xm4 before... and i tried the buds 3 pro... i just gave them back after 2 weeks... and went back to xm5... its just the overall better package for me.
I dont get why there have been claims of bad call background noise rejection on some videos but others are positive. For me personally they've been great. Noisy street, liteally next to a noisy garage door closing and opening, slamming a backyard door shut amongst other tests have been nothing but great results for me.
Wrong. The XM5's have received a firmware update that adds support for Bluetooth LE, LC3 and Auracast. I have tested this and can confirm it working on the S24 Ultra.
Also I feel like it's really important for someone to address the absolute marketing sham that's coming from "SSC" with all the garble about "UHQ" audio. Samsung jumped on the bandwagon when the Bluetooth Alliance (or whatever the old krouts are called), and essentially piggy-backed off the idea that high bit-depth was the only thing that mattered, even though Bluetooth LE is still only achieving SBC bit'RATES' to accomplish these results. Depth isn't everything, and rate matters too, which is what sets LDAC apart. When audiophiles talk audio quality on the granular level of pickiness that they do, they talk terms like "CD Quality" or "1411kbps" before mentioning the bit depth (e.g. 16/44, 24/96, 32/192 and so on). The fact that everyone is playing right into this forced marketing trend of "higher numbers means super good right?!" is almost laughable. I can't stress enough that the ONLY benefit LC3 and Bluetooth LE have (which is the suite SSC is pulled from and re-badged to sound cool), is that you're using less power to transmit. Yes the "bit depth" is a step up over SBC/AAC respectively, but NO, your Tidal library isn't suddenly going to sound planar magnetics plugged into a Naim amp. Please stop falling victim to excessive marketing garbage.
This is their second video comparison on the buds 3 pro with inaccurate information. I used to generally trust their reviews but not anymore after this. They really need to improve their fact checking.
I've had my buds 3 pro from day one. Have not had any issues. And I've changed the tips without issue. They sound great but I still believe the Denon Pearl Pro have upper hand for sound quality and are able to play louder which comes in handy with lower volume recordings. I enjoy having multiple options and will happily keep my Buds 3 Pro in rotation along with my Sony XM4. Will be curious to see what Sony comes up with for the XM6 revision.
9.5 hours vs 4.5 hour battery life (WITH ANC ON?!) is RIDICULOUS tho... I think I gotta go with the XM5's and they're pretty good priced brand new on eBay 🔥
I don't like the design change of the Samsung 3 pro, but they do beat Sony every iteration, in terms of sound and fit. Sony tends to win in other ways (noise isolation/cancelation), but for "sound guys," you often don't prioritize sound compared to other features.
@ICEMANZIDANE You don't think IEMs are for people interested in sound? That is just wrong. And Galaxy buds line are mostly very well tuned (this generation took a step back). Samsung acquired Harman years ago and benefitted from that relationship. Not all listening is through open backs and elaborate home systems
I don't understand the bass comment. If the samsung has an equalizer, can't you just tone down the bass so it's more in line with the Sony? Also, other reviewers said it lasts just about 6 or so hours with ANC, so confused about the 4 1/2 hours.
Well when talking about audio quality people want to know about the base sound profile because it kind of tells how high or low you can go in range from the starting point. And as for battery life, it's similar to watches, it depends on the options and software accessories you're using and how much. Everyone is different.
One thing that all reviews miss out on, is that for Sony, Bose etc you pay retail. At Samsung you get 40% off even before launch. (Samsung members app discount + trade-in vs anyting etc.) So they basically cost half compared to the competition.
1- not everyone is buying using the app. Some people prefer to buy it locally for warranty easiness. 2- you are still trading a device that HAS A VALUE to get the discount. It's not a free diacount in any way.
I bought the buds 3 pro and sold them for loss within a week. They r least egronomic most uncomfortable pair that come out on their own even sitting still. The sound is not premium feeling & clean even on a samsung s24 ultra
With the $100 trade in program the buds 3 pro are a no brainer, also they are future proof and will most likely get better via updates while the sony's have pretty much reached peak and are not future proof since they wont suppport auracast. The Sonys were king for a long time but i feel they need to be refreshed with a newer version.
The Buds3 app also works on Windows (Galaxy Buds app on Windows Store), but it's missing a couple features like the neck-stretch reminder settings but the important settings like EQ are there. I also noticed the battery lasts longer connected to AAC devices, anybody else notice this? Wonder if SSC is a computationally expensive codec.
XM5 was my choice, and I was one click tp buy them a few months ago, but then I saw MASSIVE complaints about the foam ear-tips, and how people had to basically shove it to their ears to get a better seal, just to get it destroyed easily, and ask from Sony for replacements. So many people with the same problem kept me with AirPods Pro 2. Now switched to Buds 3 Pro, and as much as I liked the APP2 better, the 3 Pro grow on me.
I love that i now know the small advantages of using the the buds with a samsung phone like the interpreter and the super wide band function for better call quality.
Do the xm5's have the same garbage battery drain issues like xm4s and linkbuds s? Cause I'll take less day to day battery on galaxy buds 3 if the battery doesn't just straight up die 1 month after the warranty is out...
Hey man, have you gone mad? I think they feel cheap to you, but they don't feel cheap at all when compared to the AirPods Pro 2. You're probably feeling that way because of the lightweight feel. However, the case is very nice and minimalist. The AirPods Pro 2 case does feel cheap after repeated use. The cap of the case attracts dust on the magnetic areas, and it permanently stays on it. The case is very nice, and if you use a case on it, it feels super premium. If you love Sony, just stick with it, SOUND GUY. Don't judge without careful observation.
I got to play around with the buds 3 pro before the recall and for me, the sony's still rule them all. Buds 3 were ok but felt like just another generic headphone with a huge price tag. Buds have cool features ... That no one will use the second week. To each their own though and to be fair i only got to play with the buds 3 pro for about 4 hours before they broke and i sent them back as part of the recall.
I got a galaxy note 10+ and always stick in the loop with devices but torn btw Sony xm5 for the solely for the battery life. Would it be worth the extra money being at work can only wear one earbuds at a time
Oh, you missed something, the wf xm5 earbuds not only sound better, have better battery life, has true multipoint and "pull connect" and work almost perfectly on all devices with compatible Bluetooth, they also HAVE BLUETOOTH LE with LC3 codec and AURACAST. If you find the xm5 on a discount they are 100% worth it. Only one caveat, try to test them out, if they fit your ears and are comfy/tolerable then you have the best earbuds, hands down, but if they dont.... Thrn bummer....
My issue With Sony and The reason i will Choose Samsung is The Water protection, i have o é xm4 and The worst experience is when i start sweating during my commute and Sony start With tais reaaaaaally loud Wind noise
The one thing I do have to say I hate about the Sony wf1000mx5 is that when you lose it there is no way to get it back 😢 lost mine at work and no way to find where I put it sadly been 2 months since
wouldnt consider the foam tips over the silicon I had the xm5 and xm4s and I hated it I always used my own tips. buds 3 pro fits perfect for my ears and i haven't experienced ear fatigue like i did on the sonys
I have the sony earbuds and they are great but I have a samsung phone and a samsung tv that I often use headphones and earbuds with. Would the Buds 3 be an upgrade?
I tried the XM5 I don't like the foam ear tips The same thing with the XM4's it feels like the biggest too big and the mediums too small I can get the big ones to fit but it feels a lot of pressure in my ear so I just do the old pair of silicone then they work perfectly They need two options not just one if it wasn't for that silicone I would have returned them and got a different pair
I had 3th and 4th generation of Sony, yep, they sound great, noise cancelling is good but both had a problem with uneven battery discharge , what's the point of having them if few months later they are next to useless. Look up on line: so many people report this problem as well.
Samsung's way of handling ecosystem is basically making the thing only work with a Samsung phone... This alone makes the Sony better, and the battery life is a bonus point
So who is exactly the CLEAR winner as you said in the title? Bucause you never mention that in the video, you just said buy X for reason A and buy Y for reason B.
@blackmamba7273 thanks so much for letting me know! I really appreciate that. I have a Samsung so I really wanted to try the pro's. But if I can't use the foam for noise canceling it's just not a good idea for me.
@@Rahman123abc I use it with my Samsung s24 ultra and NC and transparency mode both works really good. And specially when you are in a windy environment and the transparency mode in ON it will automatically cut down the wind noise which is pretty cool. For music i use apple music on my android phone, and it sounds very rich and very well balanced too. I'm waiting for ONE UI 6.1.1 update so that I can have more sound quality options. but even without it I love the sound quality, my only concern is the battery life which is above 5 hours and but less 6 hours, so I do have to charge it in every 2 days. overall its worth the money imo, and yeah the lights look cool and they are bright enough but they are useless overall, you'll play with it for a few days then you'll forget that its even there. but yeah i love the sound quality.
Sony buds are a bit bigger. But the Samsung Buds look like they cost $5. Awful, cheap design. The Samsung are waterproof though but personally I prefer the sound on the MX5s.
It'd hardly be worth of it without a capability to locate either part of a device recently went missing. I'd have dispatched the location to Samsung, until the last bit of a battery life.
I've had both there is very little difference between the sound on the two. Samsung probably more bassy but I dumped both of them for the PI8, if you wanna hear something amazing get those but you will pay for it. The Sony's weren't that much better than the buds pro 3 imo if any at all
I have over ear XM5 and galaxy 3 pro. I had og galaxy pro but the right earbud volume started getting weak(broken in this way for 2nd time). I got them bundled with my samsung phone. 3pro was $150 with $100 trade in. I use 3 pro for gym, hot tub, when cycling. Def wprth $150. Sound quality is amazing but just a bit less natural. Noise canceling noticibly less. Call quality much better on xm5. Ask me anything
How's the battery life of xm5? I have an air pods pro 2 but i use a samsung s24 Ultra. I previously have an xm4 which i love the sound quality but it died after firmware update. I'm torn between Buds 3 pro vs xm5
@@PartyKhel i have the over ear xm5 not the buds, but the battery life is epic: 25 hours its insane. I have s23 ultra and sound is very good from buds pro 3, xm5 is a bit better for more natural sound bit from the midrange. The highs and lows are good on the buds 3 pro. Bass is a bit more refined. Call quality is a bit better on xm5.
@@ChillFantasticFive Thanks for the feedback. I really enjoyed the sound quality and ANC of my xm4 before. I'm just hesitant now because it didn't even lasts for a year until the battery gave out and theres a lot of negative comments on XM5 about its battery giving out after a year which is not acceptable for $300 earbuds.
sony will fail after a year, mine are getting battery drain issues, and it seems sony won't replace them due to I'm out of warranty period by 2 months, avoid sony
This review pales in its information to the facts. First off, but 3 pearls and Samsung seem as Kodak. Only offers 24 bid at 96 kg, and out of bed rate of 556 Kb per second. Eldak supports the same. It rate the frequencies or sorry, the frequencies But a higher bit rate of one megabits per second. It's gonna need some check his fax
Coming from a ZMF Atrium as my stationary headphone, both Buds can only lose the game xd but i just cant believe that the Sony Buds are more on the neutral side, cuz every Sony Wireless product i owned or tested so far, was so bass heavy and overshadowing the other frequencies (especially the mids) that i could never enjoy them. the buds 3 pro i recieved yesterday surely are rich on the bass side, but the quality of the bass feels way better and turning it down a little bit with +1db on the midrange fq makes the buds 3 pro very enjoyable for me so far. But I ofc need more time for a better EQ 🫡

Is it possible to connect the Buds 3 Pro to two devices at the same time like you can with the Sonys?
Only for Samsung devices connected to same Samsung account
Literally googling this exact topic this morning!!
How about spacial audio on Samsung devices? Will it work with the Sony?
Wasn't there a massive recall on the samsung buds? Has that problem been fixed?
I use the Sony Wf-1000xm5 for cycling, shooting, running, and gym activities. Also can pair to my notebook computer no problems
No issues.
Do the xm5's have the same garbage battery drain issues like xm4s and linkbuds s? Cause I'll take less day to day battery on galaxy buds 3 if the battery doesn't just straight up die 1 month after the warranty is out...
FYI - If you get the Sony with a Samsung phone , the spacial audio does not work , Samsung has blocked the feature unless you have a buds 😕
Have you noticed all the videos talk about Lkodak, if thats how you spell it but nobody takes the time to say wtf it is?
Hey man, have you gone mad? I think they feel cheap to you, but they don't feel cheap at all when compared to the AirPods Pro 2. You're probably feeling that way because of the lightweight feel. However, the case is very nice and minimalist.
The AirPods Pro 2 case does feel cheap after repeated use. The cap of the case attracts dust on the magnetic areas, and it permanently stays on it. The case is very nice, and if you use a case on it, it feels super premium.
If you love Sony, just stick with it, SOUND GUY. Don't judge without careful observation.
I paid $84 for this with a trade of my original buds that came for free with my s10+ so it's a no Brainer for me
I got to play around with the buds 3 pro before the recall and for me, the sony's still rule them all.
Would it be worth the extra money being at work can only wear one earbuds at a time
What if you have a galaxy device , which earphone has a better performing codec
So if I'm in a coffee shop such a Starbucks and it's quite loud and noisy which would be the best for that?
Oh, you missed something, the wf xm5 earbuds not only sound better, have better battery life, has true multipoint and "pull connect" and work almost perfectly on all devices with compatible Bluetooth, they also HAVE BLUETOOTH LE with LC3 codec and AURACAST. If you find the xm5 on a discount they are 100% worth it. Only one caveat, try to test them out, if they fit your ears and are comfy/tolerable then you have the best earbuds, hands down, but if they dont.... Thrn bummer....
well im using my buds 2 pro for pc gaming and xiaomi still good still performs like 4:30, 5 hours, bought june 2023 140 euros Portugal
using for work to xD
I'm confused, isn't Sony LDAC higher quality than Samsung SSC at roughly double the bitrate?
Yes. LDAC Is better
My issue With Sony and The reason i will Choose Samsung is The Water protection, i have o é xm4 and The worst experience is when i start sweating during my commute and Sony start With tais reaaaaaally loud Wind noise
$300 for earbuds that's as much as my phone. Makes it worse earbuds can stop working in 2 months
All electronics have the potential to break. I've had galaxy buds 1 for years and they work flawlessly.
With s24 ultra . Which one is best??
Where is this option for enabling 16 Khz? I don't have this in Samsung Wearable
The one thing I do have to say I hate about the Sony wf1000mx5 is that when you lose it there is no way to get it back 😢 lost mine at work and no way to find where I put it sadly been 2 months since
Got my xm5s on eBay refurbished for 140. Literally couldn’t have made a better decision
Same, bought them at 170€ used (like new) on amazon, amazing deal
@@tizio2332 enjoy them bro. Battery life, sound quality and ambient/noise canceling features are really good on these
I got them on sale from Sony for $180 brand new
You didnt talk about multi point , for some people like me not having multi point is also a deal breaker as i use a samsung phone but a windows tablet
Can anyone confirm if the Sony XM5s have the same battery drain issues like the XM4s?
Battery Life: "I will buy both then"
wouldnt consider the foam tips over the silicon I had the xm5 and xm4s and I hated it I always used my own tips. buds 3 pro fits perfect for my ears and i haven't experienced ear fatigue like i did on the sonys
I prefer the sound on the Galaxy buds 3 pro hands down
I have the sony earbuds and they are great but I have a samsung phone and a samsung tv that I often use headphones and earbuds with. Would the Buds 3 be an upgrade?
It's a downgrade in terms of sound quality
So....about that CLEAR winner when are we gonna learn which it is?
Samsung is in the chat💯
I tried the XM5 I don't like the foam ear tips The same thing with the XM4's it feels like the biggest too big and the mediums too small I can get the big ones to fit but it feels a lot of pressure in my ear so I just do the old pair of silicone then they work perfectly They need two options not just one if it wasn't for that silicone I would have returned them and got a different pair
Nah Sony is just way too bulky
So the title is just clickbait
This is pointless since Samsung refuses to make an app that allows iOS devices to use to fully
I had 3th and 4th generation of Sony, yep, they sound great, noise cancelling is good but both had a problem with uneven battery discharge , what's the point of having them if few months later they are next to useless. Look up on line: so many people report this problem as well.
No issues with xm5 - except mine just got stolen and even for 300 bucks they don't have tracking option.
Samsung's way of handling ecosystem is basically making the thing only work with a Samsung phone...
This alone makes the Sony better, and the battery life is a bonus point
Good review
This is the only video there is comparing these 2 earbuds....
Wow. You missed Transparency completely
So who is exactly the CLEAR winner as you said in the title? Bucause you never mention that in the video, you just said buy X for reason A and buy Y for reason B.
Anyone has tried any of these while wearing their motorcycle helmets? Just want to know which of these 2 is more comfortable
Can't you just put foam tips on the Galaxy buds??
I was about to buy foam tips on my buds 3 pro until all reviews, saying that it makes the sound quality terrible
@blackmamba7273 thanks so much for letting me know! I really appreciate that. I have a Samsung so I really wanted to try the pro's. But if I can't use the foam for noise canceling it's just not a good idea for me.
Me listening to this video with buds 3 pro 😅
How are YOU feeling sound quality with buds pro 3??
I love the Xm5s but they just dont stay in my ear and the transparency is trash
never seen anyone praise sony's call quality before, even my friend told me that its dogshit when i call them
The way samsung keep pushing back my order, these headphones dont even exist in my eyes
I feel u mine are delayed by 1.5 months from when they come out
@@Pedro145a I canceled my order today....better off waiting till black Friday at this point

Sony buds are a bit bigger. But the Samsung Buds look like they cost $5. Awful, cheap design. The Samsung are waterproof though but personally I prefer the sound on the MX5s.
water resistant*
I'll just get both problems solved.
It'd hardly be worth of it without a capability to locate either part of a device recently went missing. I'd have dispatched the location to Samsung, until the last bit of a battery life.
Sony customer service is really bad so Samsung for me
Sony is 250 right now
I've had both there is very little difference between the sound on the two.
If i use z fold 6 , and i want a good call quality ...should i choose bud 3 pro? Or sony
@@kakasuki8575 buds3 pro
I have the impression that you have a grievance against Samsung 🤔
You are the only ones who find that everything is bad on these Galaxy Buds 3 Pro
Still sony and sony drivers suck give me b and w
So there's actually no CLEAR winner as you claim. Dislike.
sony will fail after a year, mine are getting battery drain issues, and it seems sony won't replace them due to I'm out of warranty period by 2 months, avoid sony
Sony is the best
This review pales in its information to the facts. First off, but 3 pearls and Samsung seem as Kodak. Only offers 24 bid at 96 kg, and out of bed rate of 556 Kb per second. Eldak supports the same. It rate the frequencies or sorry, the frequencies But a higher bit rate of one megabits per second. It's gonna need some check his fax
Typo LDAC. NO Telak damn voice to text.
If you own a Samsung phone get the Samsung buds simple.
Not really, Sony's LDAC is actually higher quality than Samsung's SSC
@@pixels_per_inch to the average consumer they cannot tell the difference 😕
The Sonys are absolute trash they feel like you have a dig in your ears
I do not agree. Wouldn’t even know they were there if it wasn’t for the noise canceling/ambient settings. And what do you even mean by “dig”
Buy different ear tips. I have the MX5s and Samsung Buds, and I prefer the sound on the Sony Buds. The only downside is that they are not waterproof.
Acne closeups ...sorry but unsubscribed
😄
Will my S22 Ultra support UHD?
I mean that highest codec...
No, Samsung doesnt support lossless
No, only S24 series
@@pixels_per_inch wrong S24 doesnt support it too
Coming from a ZMF Atrium as my stationary headphone, both Buds can only lose the game xd
but i just cant believe that the Sony Buds are more on the neutral side, cuz every Sony Wireless product i owned or tested so far, was so bass heavy and overshadowing the other frequencies (especially the mids) that i could never enjoy them.
the buds 3 pro i recieved yesterday surely are rich on the bass side, but the quality of the bass feels way better and turning it down a little bit with +1db on the midrange fq makes the buds 3 pro very enjoyable for me so far.
But I ofc need more time for a better EQ 🫡
