I feel much more relieved now. Btw, I totally understand some of the criticism you make in the video, since I feel the same way about the PS Vita (ergonomics, small buttons, etc.). In spite of all its flaws, the Vita was amazing in its ability to make the console experience portable. I hope the Win 4 can do what Steam Deck does for me without taxing my backpack and my back too much.

Yeah ergonomics is my priority in a handheld. I ordered a grip attachment immediately. I think GPD knows their devices aren’t the most ergonomic because they are including a grip with the upcoming Win mini (7in win max)
@@BarelyAverageDudeI'd love to see a review on whatever grip attachment you find. I have huge hands and the ergonomics are almost impossible unless you use the X-real air glasses with them...then you can rest this in your lap so to speak

Just wanted to try it out. Got it from Amazon so I could return it if I didn’t like it. And I use this mainly for retro games so I don’t need the slight performance boost.
And this is why I sold this device after only one week. Next to the Win Max 2, it has the worst ergonomics I’ve ever experienced! Try playing Spider-Man with that thing and your hands will feel awful dealing with those shallow triggers. Your fingers will constantly slide off and there’s nothing to grip. The buttons are also way too close to the right analog stick, so I kept hitting the stick while trying to press the buttons. The bumpers are also subpar. The D-Pad is among the best I’ve ever used on a handheld. That’s about the only positive thing I can say about the Win 4. Glad I was able to sell it for more than I bought it for.
I feel you. I wanted to give the device a fair try so I order some grips to improve the ergonomics. It’s not a bad device, but probably better for smaller hands
It reminds me of the Gamesir X2 Pro controller for my S23 Ultra. The grips or let's say the palm rest is so low that you have to use your fingers to hold the device up while you need access to the triggers for FPS games. It becomes painful on the right side as your thumb drops low for the analog below while trying to keep your fingers on the triggers. I felt like I held everything on a slant. It might have been better to keep a non xbox layout in that case for a more symmetrical hold. I agree that half my thumb had to lean on the right stick to hit the xyab buttons. If we can get extensions (add on grips) to prop up the controls so you can rest the device in your palm it would offset the weight in the finger tips. Please let me know if you found a workaround. My issue is worse for when laying in bed as my hands are up.
