- We all know there is no harder job in handball, or any other sport, than that of the referees. But what we do not know, is how the referees communicate on the court. How do they speak to the players? How do they speak to each other? What is the process they go through to reach correct decisions, especially in the modern era of video replays? How are those decisions explained to the players?
Finally, we are able to find out, thanks to the new video series on RUclips that the EHF is proud to unveil; The Final Whistle.

I'm macedonian and it's really interesting to hear how they ref in macedonian language.
It's strange to hear macedonian on this kind of top international level, because we are a small nation and it's a rare opportunity. This was very interesting, listening to our best ref pair!

Would be interesting to know, why the refs had to cover their tattoos during the Olympic Games, but don't were forced to do the same during the Final 4? For me there should be no problem, because tattoos are quite common, aren't they?

Interesting that the Macedonian referees are talking with Janc, a Slovenian, in a language that is clearly not English. Are Slovenian and Macedonian similar enough to be mutually intelligible? Or are they speaking some other language that they all understand?
Slavic languages are related to each other.
I have a doubt, after the 30 minutes, on the throw after the foul, can defenders jump???. I thought that they can´t do it, but after seeing this... Someone can explain me what defenders can do and not?
Defenders may jump, for sure. The offensive player isn't allowed.

I think only if it is in the category of "unsportsmanlike conduct". Imo it only looks so rough because Hansen falls too easily, and wasn't really enough for a 2 min
