Great show but too many deaths and character replacements. Don’t like any of those McLeods cousins (Grace, Reagan, Jaz). Lots of things doesn’t make sense to me. Like Alex gets married or dies and his brother, Nick, can’t even be bothered to appear on the show at least one more time. Same for Tess, who could come over when Droves was just about to go bankrupt. Just passed off

Il punto non è dare o meno una possibilità agli attori nuovi, (che saranno senz' altro bravissimi), il fatto è che chi l' ha vista dall'inizio come me si è affezionato ai primi personaggi, è normale.
Nel corso della serie fanno troppe sostituzioni, avrebbe avuto più senso chiuderla, oppure fare uno spin off dell'originale.
Le ultime serie con le sorelle MC Leod purtroppo non c'entrano più niente.
Well- the program ran for 8 seasons- that is a long time in TV time- so there are going to be changes . A lot of the actors left for better acting opportunities in Hollywood.. Losing Claire early in the series was a problem because she had a dominant personality that was going to he difficult to replace. Tess - in her real life- got pregnant- so I understand her absence- at least for a while. I was very sad to see Jody leave early in 7th season -which is where I am now. So both Tess and Jody leave their home out of love but was it a financially responsible thing to do? I really liked the growth of Jody as a character from the beginning to her departure early in 7th season. She was a beautiful but immature girl when the series started but really blossomed into a mature young woman by season 7.. I think Claire would have been proud of her. Congrats to Rachael Carpani for her acting skills. I see why Alex lasted so long as he slept with 5 different women in the series. Just kidding. Fair Dinkum! 😊

Canadian TV series Heartland definitely same idea followed MD's storylines first few seasons. It is filmed near us. It is on it's 13th season. They have been able to keep original cast. Sadly that's what doomed MD imo. Too many changes in main characters final 2 seasons. When Bridie Carter Myles Pollard left it was beginning of the end of the heart of MD.
Heartland was based of books I read before McLeods was released.
I liked all seasons until Jodi left, never liked the other sisters, and thought the casting was horrible. Unfortunately Grace and Jess ruined it for me 😔
@@jenniferpilz4308 Heartland may have had it's basis on a series of books but many episodes were identical to MD. I agree with you about Grace & Jess. Last series was horribly written boring. When storyline on a station has heaps of possibilities. Bridie Carter & Lisa Chappell pitched their willingness to continue the series with Posie Graeme-Parker( creator) a few years back. But never went anywhere unfortunately even though there was great fan support from several countries besides Australia. Btw; Heartland film location approx1.5 hrs from me.

Love the show started watching couldn’t stop. They did away with too many. From the start to end there was no one that started the show.

Watched this in 2007 in South African tv now Im.in Australia im pleased i was able to rewatched it from the start borrowing from the library. This is a program worth watching.

I found myself a bit disappointed when only Rachal Carpani and Aaron Jeffery were the only remaining original cast members left, THEN they killed off Alex!
Yup that marked the end for sure. Wasn't even MacLeod's Daughters anymore. It's rare for orginal cast to want to stay on a series for years. Shows like The Waltons where majority orginal cast remained throughout are rare.

Will never be over the death of Claire because it took so long for them to get together ,and when they did it ended sad but true I keep watching the RUclips videos of them together with a song you sang to me in the background and I cry . the scene in the hotel in the city with him holding bomb and just getting ready to move in together I am sad I can not get over it.
We are watching this show on Hulu in Texas USA. I cried when Clair died and havent got to the point where Alex dies. I just love this show.
It's a shame show didn't continue but when Bridie Carter was pregnant she suffered from morning sickness and smell of horse cow manure all day on set made it difficult and she wasn't happy. When a show ends up veering in totally different direction from orginal characters usually marks the end. It's too bad Nine Network refused to regenrate the series afew years ago as they had global fan support and from the creator and Lisa Chappell Bridie Carter( orginal characters). Their careers were never as popular post MacLeod's Daughters.

The scene were Alex died I cried after he and Stevie got married h was in one and about ten minutes of another episode. Was not even allowed to be their for the birth of his baby. He was wonderful with children. Poor writing. Stevie and Alex had chemistry. Not as much as Claire and Alex. Mcloeds daughters was great in first 6 seasons.
@@lisagraham2944 finished watching it a month and a 1/2 ago and I find myself going back and watching season 3 are all the scenes with Alex and Claire they had an unspoken chemistry the way they looked at each other ,the way she would shyly look away, it was just wonderful I am so sad that they were not able to continue into season 4 even for a few episodes so the fans could enjoy there relationship. after how long it took for them to get together, un finished business.. poor directing poor writing. Also another thing why did Becky not come to claire's funeral you think that that would have been written in. iClaire was the one that helped build Becky up to get going in life. As Claire said I reckon I get the better part of the deal when she hired Becky with tears in her eyes you could see her heart and her love of her Becky. I found that very hard to take that she did not come to the funeral no emotion . Just one more thing why didn't Claire tell Tess "tell Alex I love him and I've always loved him" it would have meant so much

They where together for 7 years and engaged she was preparring for their wedding and he got Lisa Bonet pregnant in that time. She found out about the cheating out of newspaper not long before their wedding was suppose to happen that Lisa was already 6 months pregnant

@@82nesse Ya I remember the pics of Simone hugging him at that outdoor concert and he really wasn't into hugging kissing her back was really sad. They called off engagement days after those pics when she found out Lisa was pregnant.
Hated them getting rid of the original cast. Killed Clare and it was terrible. But then they write out Nick and Tess. Got rid of Becky. Then it was to much when they killed Alex. Pretty much sucked after that. Never watched it after that.

So many questions I know Claire wanted out of her her contract. However there was a rope holding the keg, besides the rope that tess try to stretch and tide to something. there's so many things it just didn't make sense. just it makes me mad clare had to die, before she was married .at least they should have got married and and enjoyed a few episodes of being to gather in being in love to satisfy the fans

I looked for this show around one month I watched it long time ago and I forgot name of it thank you so much
USA -this has been my go to series from the first showing in the US. I WISH THE PRODUCERS HAD REACHED OUT TO US FANS. MAYBE just maybe we could have given input to the script story line. I got so disappointed when Lisa Chappell left the show. It still makes me cry especially during this pandemic. This was such a family connection type show. Not many, 800 words, Bed of Roses, but nothing holds a candle to this show that empowers women.
Plus the Napier’s leaving. I loved both their characters. But nobody asks the audience. I would have provided a script rewrite to convince the Claire character to stay have children with Alex, and complete them with being a loving functional family. I loved the character Stevie but a different story line for her could have been Alex’s brother from the ponce suit father. Plus the original Mrs Ryan. She was just coming around. The evil new girlfriend wife of Harry’s was so disbelieve-able as his choice for a partner. She’s a terrific actress and nailed it that role, but. WHY? She still could have been written in as a nemesis colluding with the speed dial rancher that had a road named after him.
It just had so much more potential to be a life long classic. I don’t watch past Chappell leaving the show. I got aggravated with their reunion when all the original cast that I fell in love with weren’t there. Reading this a person could say get a life but from a creative point of view, you hit gold and turned into silver. There’s just so much injustice and sorrow in real life that you crave entertainment that brings you joy. There are so many blow up the cars, serial killer mysteries, too real to the news entertainment. I want go back in the past to rewrite your scripts, tell Chappell and the Napiers to just stay a little longer. As they look back, were their careers much better for leaving the show? The crummy reality is that the people responsible for this shows creation will probably never read my thoughts. Not one American show could hold a candle to the powerful message this series showcased for women. Putting some aboriginal women in as drovers owning their own land and being close to the McLeod daughters would have really hit the mark to show that we can rise above racism. It will be the women that lead the way. So that’s a bit of my input, a day late and a dollar short. Another production from the down under that stole my heart was the movie, Australia. Nullah, Brandon Walters was the movie. In summary once those actors mentioned chose to leave the show prematurely it really broke many hearts, not just mine, illustrated in many comments. That’s how good this series was, it really touched the heart and then broke into pieces. My biological family did shatter my heart and soul. I know that is what is behind me not wanting to see that extreme heartbreak in a series with so much potential to create the magic of happiness. The magic that good overcomes evil. The magic. This series HAD the strong potential to deliver the organic magic. Now I play out the scenes in my imagination and as I said I continue to watch and rewatch until Chappell leaves the show. Killing her was like losing someone so very dear. I have lost five really beautiful people from my 30’s. That doesn’t include the pandemic, where your heart goes out to all the families that lost loved ones because the USA was run by the most corrupt puppet president in American history and the usual top 3 % wealthy having the best time of their driven lives. These are such very disturbing times in this country. I don’t even want to address the international atrocities and genocides. Your wholesome series was therapeutic, medicinal and could have been so incredibly more bursting with magic. The end.

The writers pulled Nick and tess out too early. I hated to see Claire leave. I'm in season 6 still watching it. I almost stopped watching it after it I'm glad Alex is still in it. Lots of good story lines. Like the character of Jodie better. I'm glad terry and meg got married.

I just love the show but I lost a little interest when the Grace character, Abi Tucker, came on the show as I feel that this was, with all respects, a complete miscast all the other women were great just not her.
