Absolutely fantastic video! I’m not sure if you mentioned when you are taking the bottom off the spring side to take out the set screw. Also would have been nice at the end to compare stock vs progressive spring vs 60 lbs spring vs other forks you’ve used before. Also putting the links for the shims is a HUGE help. Thanks for all you do, and keep up the videos!
I'm way late to this video and my Talaria doesn't even have Fastace forks but I love the video so far. I'm only 6 mins in as of this comment but I just have one correction for you. Adjusting the rebound dial or compression for that does not tighten the stack. There is a "Needle" also known as a by-pass in the valving. When you tighten the rebound you close the by-pass and force more oil through the shim stack. When you lossen the rebound, it opens the by-pass which allow for oil to pass through avoiding the shim stack making the suspension faster. The way you make the stack stiffer is but adjusting the stacks shims with more wider OD shims providing more "stiffness" to the stack and how it bends. You can also adjust the taper as well to achieve the same effect. Now time to finish the video.
So it sounds like taking this fork apart is a nightmare. So if there’s a buying option for the 60+ lbs Spring pre installed, and avoiding the shim upgrade. How does the fork feel then? Also how about extra travel with drop top yoke? Comparison to Fox 40 with correct spacers? Thanks
Well, I think I have the 1.0, and externally mine doesn’t have the fast ace logo, and on the top adjusters, mine are adjusted with a flat head screwdriver instead by fingers.
I have 1.0 but my seals are blown. I need to refresh the fluid and swap the seals. What steps do i have to follow? Trying to avoid taking the wheel clamps if i can.😅
@progressive_e I have few black forks and waiting for one gold. its will be cool to compare them. I install ariete seals and change oil to maxima plush for my personal fork and its really better. But how about shim stack rebuild? Is it worth it? What works better for new shim stack?
Hey bro i know ots not related to the video but do you mind telling me your bars name? And tire setup plus tire size? Thanks bro Edit: found the videos lol u covered everything... finally some content for me!
If you want to tune the base valve, then yes, you do have to take the bottom off. But you can change the spring and service the rest of the fork without taking them off.
@@CmdrTigerKing serious question, how come my forks won’t come apart when I tried to follow that video? I got to the point where the seals and retainer clip are removed but my forks won’t come apart into the two sections. It made me think that I might have to separate the forks from the opposite direction, as shown in this guys video. I have not yet removed the axle clamp from the bottom to try it that way. Due to failed attempts and being alone. Do you know what the answer is? If the forks are identical how come mine won’t come apart like the video you linked ? Any help is appreciated

top! thank you
what are the diffences between the fast ace 1.0 and 2.0, i havent been able to find anything on their website?
Well, I think I have the 1.0, and externally mine doesn’t have the fast ace logo, and on the top adjusters, mine are adjusted with a flat head screwdriver instead by fingers.
I think V1 is steel construction and V2 is aluminium.
I haven't seen a V1 so I can't be sure though.
Theirs more adjustability on the new 2.0 plus the caps are red and blue and the 1.0 has two red caps. Same decals.
Do I need to buy one or 2 springs
bro how to rebuild kke forks and rear shock🔥
Awesome video. When is the review of these upgraded forks?

Yeah I am going to do a seal video hopefully upgrading them
Is it worth it?
Yeah it is but there is now new gold ones that come all ready done with better seals

Charged cycle works isn't gonna be happy your showing people how to do this. Although I think most people won't try and do this themselves.
So.ya "gotta" take the bottom off..??
Yeah mate
No, you don't
@@nathaneastman2268 Please share how you can do this without taking the bottom out. I need to do this on 2 forks.

Those are the 1.0 version. Notice the top caps are not the red and blue. They are both red

@@CmdrTigerKing yea I removed the compression rod. Seemed to be half the length of the one if the video but I removed it
