Every time I try to play mercy we end up getting destroyed, sad thing is I don't even think me or my team are bad, the enemy team is just better every time

Dying near cover is one of the most helpful things teammates can accidentally do lol
this is why sig, ram and rein are my favorite tanks right now because they’re so “play corners” heavy
@@KiaSoulEV-rt4sg I’m in low elo so that’s a no for Rein. Reins in low elo just use charge off cooldown and have no self control whatsoever, usually resulting in them dying like right next to the enemy team while we’re all 10 miles away behind them.
@@whoknows7415 yep. Then supports get flamed for not healing them. It's frustrating, and just plain stupid
@@whoknows7415 Telling randoms to play around natural cover or respecting the open spaces/not poking just because they can sometimes makes them mad. I suggest you play with a duo and warn them when they're not playing around cover or being too exposed. I do this with my friends all the time and also ask them to do the same for me.

I think it was Flats who made a joke about Mercy players needing to roleplay as a fighter jet to be good. I started doing it and I started winning a ton more games with her. I will literally make jet noises into my mic when flying around between my team. I promise it will make you damage boost more and fly faster.
Dude no kidding, I tried binding my crouch to my middle mouse after he said that to try to be more mobile and the difference is insane. You just never die, and therefore provide infinite value while your team hopefully pops off
@@bayleaf2383 yes!!! i have melee on my middle mouse and crouch on one of the 2 side buttons.

This video is a really good showcase of how support players should try to position themselves, regardless of what hero they're playing, and especially how to use cover. Flats had 1 death as Zen and zero as Mercy.
Yep, constantly hiding behind corners/walls helps zen a lot. Tho there wasnt much people flanking him though, only at the last part they realized zen discord orb was fucking them up.
Still a lot of proper positioning as Zen that kept him alive.
Genuinely would love to see more Flats mercy. I love watching mercy players who aren't comfortable with her yet; the game play is so slow compared to what I'm used to. :)

This has been really validating on how I've been doing support lately. Focusing on optimizing team TTK, and controlling the length of the fights. This could be a gold dumb take, but it seems like longer fights favor defenders and shorter fights (even if you lose because regroup and stagger issues) favor attackers. So I really dig the Zen on attack, mercy on defend tactics.
I just think it’s so cool that someone who has as many hours as you in this game is still able to unlock new achievements! Super motivating ❤
I haven't unlocked any of the doomfist, soujourn and genji achievements, missing lots on Hanzo and Bast and Bap and I think one for Rein. Also none of the Lucioball achievements. It would be cool if they could also add new achievements on OW2 each season or so.
watching you play mercy is something i didn’t expect to see today. i love it
going through a really tough time right now, and discovering flats content is one of the best coping strategies I think I've found so far, the entertainment and general relaxation of lying down and just putting a video on, gives a great distraction, thanks flats :)

I remember getting this achievement in the early days of OW1 and rezzing 4 of my team with a single ult twice without dying. I miss old Mercy ult.
yes! i got this achievement back in 2016 or 17 and it felt so much more rewarding than this version of it, here's to hoping and praying they stick to their word and bring mass rez back for PvE and maybe if ppl like the skill tree gameplay a lot they could make an arcade mode where it's quick play but with the PvE skill trees active, that would be super fun and unique since everyone could build their characters how they want (and i could rez my whole team lmao)
im still missing that experimental mode they did a while back where she had mass rez and valk on E, it was the most fun and engaging gameplay ive felt on mercy in literally years now, i hope they do something with it eventually...
would be awesome if you did a video on how to know who the right pick is for your team comp. i find myself not being able to figure out who’s gonna work best with my team como when i play support/ dps. i know these things are very dependent on the situation but it would be great to know some advice!

I was really happy when i got this spray after a silly solo que game. (im new to ow ) I got the achievement n i didn't even know what i had done to get it. Love flats having the same reaction "oo achievement " then back to the mercy pocket
After a whole day of trying to get that achievement, he gets it by accident

I got the huge res achievement by letting my team die near the end of the round so I could res them. I literally saw my Sigma dying, I was one res away. And I just let him die. Waited a couple seconds. Walked on over. And bam. Huge res. And hey, we won.

Question, I run Brig a lot and usually have most healing and kills in the game; yet my team still looses, how do I win more?

always remember stats dont dictate everything. looking at how the match played out is your best way to imporve, the stats may show you getting 10 kills, but if 5 of them were assisted ult kills where the tank or someone else did 90% of the work for your finishing blow it dosent mean you were cracked just on cleanup duty. Im not saying thats you just an example ofc.
it all comes down to what you stopped getting to or what you gave your team in the time you were on the feild. thats where it all counts.
@@vSIG_ Thank you, In terms of clean up duty most my kills are not ult assisted and I tend to beat tanks 1 v 1, same with most damage. With my ult I tend to use it on the payload and help the other support and stay close to the tank.

Easiest Way to get Huge Rez achievement: Mass rez your entire team about 4+ years ago before the Mercy rework.

@@ivyproductions7097 Hell no. I just hope I can still do dmg cause I still have PTSD of 2018 Hog Dmg nerf. Couldn't dmg tanks couldn't break the barriers I couldn't even dmg Torb's turret all I could do was feed the enemy team's ult and heal.

You should probably focus on another support that isn't so team-dependent like Mercy. Moira, Bap and Lucio are good to climb out of Gold...
But if you really wanna play Mercy, you should totally play her the right way to get the grasp of her mechanics. Don't be like the others, don't do the same mistakes as them or you'll be stuck.
I've played a little mercey and that's tough one 🤣 in gold eveyone is always 1hp but if your teams main support is decent then you can blue beam the better dps... sometimes the better dps is the tank 😭

Its really hard but if u think that ur dps is doing well and can actually get kills with damage boost then go mercy but unfortunately thats so rare in low elo , however i really think u should go to other support because mercy is more like a team depending character

I have a question, what is with the hog, I don't think he is so op and should be nerfed. He has a one shot option in a range of idk 10-15 meters and he is an easy target with that huge hitbox and easily countered by ana, Sombra Bastion etc. Meanwhile sojourn has a one shot option with her ult and her always charging railgun, yes I know she got nerfed but it is even more frustrating getting railed from somewhere than getting hocked and also hock can be countered with shields, sleep, hack, suzu or your healers heal you in time so you survive the hook, meanwhile sojourns rail can't be countered with sleep or suzu etc

I get not wanting the pocket. I main pharah and kinda hate getting mercy pocket. I feel like im not good enough to warrant it, and im just used to surviving off health packs anyways. It seems like as soon as i get that beam i start missing shots. Too much pressure lol.

Every time I play Ashe and a Mercy damage boost me in spawn I always say thanks to make sure they get that I want them to amp me

Zen should have 2 harmony orbs and be able to place them through walls and be given according ult charge nerfs
