I love how they keep saying that we should do these ourselves because they are soooo easy. Their instructions are very confusing, and incomplete for any radio except a Phillipines 148GTL. Any 148 other than that and the instructions are not the same. Yep, soo easy.
As for the instructions, it is extremely detailed. Every PLL radio is the same and so are crystal radios. Stop thinking about a "148gtl", insted, think of the circuits. It's all the same.
A better way of doing the display I removed plastic purple perspex. Marked the frame size Used my soldering iron with a long 1.0mm tip and made holes all along the frame. When done the frame pops out. Used Drexel to refine. Then when happy , bevelled the frame edge with new blade from hobby knife. I then cut a film of plastic and layer over the top, looks as if it was meant to be that way. Search: Pull_It_Apart_Paul CB40 DDSVFO

Yes
Ever do one in an HR2510? Do you have different size displays?
It is done with an outside box called the STB. Check it out at www.ddsvfo.com
Just out of curiosity can somebody send you a brand new radio and pay you to put aboard in and ship it back?
Yes sir! Email mark@troyradio.net he will get you setup...
How much does it cost

agreed! to install in other radio models one must understand the circuit. 73
It is absolutely not complicated. Solder 17 wires to the radio, mount the board's and set the I.F. and it's done.
