Theory: In the future where most of the fruits have died, Orange, Grandpa Lemon, Grapefruit, Passion, and… *Little Apple…* What happened to Pear and Marshmallow is technically unknown to Apple, but presumably they have gone their separate ways after most of their friends died. Apple however, instead of deciding to grieve alone unhealthily *pretended* they were still there presumably as a way of comfort and/or grieving. It got to the point one day Apple’s delusions became too much for him… that day 8/11/?? Apple started hallucinating that he was faced with The Husks of his deceased friends with possibly The Spirit of Orange telling Apple that he has to wake up and accept that he and others are dead. While horrifying, this fortunately caused Apple to snap out his delusion and finally accept their deaths… and finally move on.(Side note 1: I know the glitched characters are different in this vid, I just wrote what we saw in the original cutscene and went from there. 2: After accepting the deaths of the others, Apple probably contacted Pear and/or Marshmallow to see how they were doing and if they wanted to visit or anything. Just to wrap this comfortingly)
