  • After Nearly 4 1/2 years of lectures, the final shiur in the Chazon Ish Jewish Hashkafa series is here. Just like Avraham Avinu was alone in his generation of wicked idolators, many feel the same in their communities.
Though quickly realizing that no one is like Avraham Avinu, there are some questions that need answers: How did he get millions of idolators to abandon their ways, despite having a criminal record, limited funding, family feud, and being enemy #1 of the most powerful man in the world at the time? Was this strategy ever successfully put to the test by anyone? Can You and I do it today?
These and many other questions will be answered today, as we finalize the series that has taught us what the Jewish Ideology of Avraham Avinu is. We may not be Avraham Avinu, but we are his descendants, and our abilities are only limited by our knowledge and application. BeEzrat HaShem excited to complete this monumental series and in sanctifying HaShem's Name, while also bringing nachat to Rabbeinu the Chazon Ish. Learn, Enjoy, Share and Be Holy

Hello rabbi, I am reaching out through youtube because I have nowhere else to go. I used to listen to your lectures a lot with my family, but things have changed. My parents are divorced, bith remarried. My father and his wife are 'noahides,' and for a long time i believed they were good people. My mom and step dad aren't religious. But when I got older, I realized that my dad and step mom were really manipulative and really didn't practice what they preached. I never got along with my dad's wife. And every time we 'argued,' (which was usually her screaming at me for something tiny, and when I tried to defend myself, she'd say I was either arguing, getting hysterical, or both,) my dad blamed and yelled at me. My dad was always an amazing father, before he found the Torah. But with the Torah came my step mom. She started changing him for the worse. She also had 5 kids, I was the only one who wasn't hers. It's one thing if the step parent likes thier own kids better than ths step kid, but when the real parent of the kid likes the other kids better too, that's different. Pretty quickly, I was the least favorite kid. They picked on me a lot for no reason. Step mom actually got pregnant before they were even married, and all her other kids are from different dads. So, fast forward a bit, it's just been awful. My dad and step mom both seem to hate me. My step mom would get mad and call me things like retarded or autistic, (I wasn't, I just had adhd, which drove her crazy.) She also called me a prick once, I was literally like 12 years old. When i'd tell my dad about it, she'd gaslight the situation, saying "english isn't my first language, I didn't know that was so offensive." Yeah right. Then my father would yell at ME for getting upset about it! It scarred me. I still feel retarded a lot, just because she put that in my head. They did things like totally against Torah too. Us kids weren't allowed to listen to music with words, but my dad could listen to Michael Jackson, because he 'actually' was a good person. (Michael Jackson was literally a pedophile.) Step mom would watch these jewish women youtubers, and borderline idolize them. Once I showed her a clip where the woman literally showed herself wearing leggings and going to bed ON RUclips. She proceeded to make excuses why she would have done that, never listening to what I was tryna say. They would punish me so much harder than the other kids. Once, I had popped a blood vein in my foot and could barely stand, just felt sick in general, and didn't wanna help butcher chickens because I literally thought I was gonna be sick. My dad said, 'I don't care if your arm got cut off, you're gonna do it." Then proceeded to assign me to doing the dishes for a month, which, in a household of nine, and one where everyone is some sort of chef, dishes can take hours each night. My step mom would also say things like "I'm so done pretending to like this kid" when she was mad. Despite all this, I still loved her, and told her that. One day, she stopped saying it back, and that really broke me. I'd say 'I love you,' and she'd ignore me. It eventually got so bad that I was resorting to self harm, and on the verge of ending my life. So, I called my mom and asked her to take me home. If I wanted to tell the whole story, it would take me hours to type, and several for you to read. But essentially, I didn't go back. My mom isn't religious, as I said. But I'm so much happier. But they've always threatened me with 'if you ever stay at your mother's, you'll go to gehinom.' And things like that. Now, I've got it in my head that I'm gonna go to hell, cause like what if they were right? I haven't seen my siblings since January, and they're making me seem horrible for leaving, amongst other things. Told my grandmother I 'drew naked men making out,' literal bs. They're telling my siblings and other people that I'm all satan worshipping, watching porn, etc. I don't know what to do. The torah has only ever made my life hell, and took my loving father away from me. I think I still believe in god, but I've got so many people pressuring me into different religions! I want it all to go away. I hope you read this, because I'm lost.
