I think Digitakt is a perfect box for composing and performing live techno. Although I have my own share of other gear and Bitwig to do stuff I mostly find myself relaxing on a sofa with DT just exploring soundscapes and those sets come together without much effort. Go ahead and check my recently recorded full live sets composed on Digitakt. I'm quite sure that you find them interesting.
If you were to record this track, would you resample the individual channels, or would you record the individual tracks and add back the delay and reverb in ableton? Thanks!
If I'm happy with how the track sounds, I'd use the song mode for arrangement and record the whole thing and then would do some mastering in Ableton, and I'd probably add a midi controller for recording modulations I want. But if I wanted to add another instrument or something, I'd record each track individually via Overbrige and would finish the track in Ableton.
It is very doable without too much stress. I just relased 2 deep hypnotic techno sets composed and played live from the Digitakt. I use patterns quite liberaly to carry on the set. 1 hour set uses about 2 banks of patterns. Track mutes are pattern type (purple) instead of global. Then I use some cryptic notation on the pattern titles to instruct me to do needed changes to make pattern ready to switch to another. In addition I keep voices alive with some tweaking. I have been enjoying the process of solely composing and performing live from the Digitakt although I have some other gear as well. It is just so easy to sit on a couch and relax with that maschine.
Yes, one of my red LEDs is not working :(
Ah, the yellow screen of the Digitakt I... so nostalgic!
Really adds that vintage warmth to the sound
Thanks for the reminder that I don’t need that mk2
But you do though and you know it 😂
Ah yes, the GAS hits😂
Super educational and very enjoyable! Thanks, Yan!

This reminds me of 'Farencounters' by The Advent
Очень актуальная для меня тема,очень неожиданно и приятно)
How did you replace the stock sounds with your own?? Is it just a project template you use or can you hardcode that for new projects?
Super awesome. Do you make your own samples? Curious about which field recorder you use
I synthesize my samples :)
oh wow i didnt realize that you could make techno with elektron boxes
how play LIVE with only digitakt,?
It is possible, but it's a lot more doable with Digitakt II :)
It is possible! I play live on digitakt, and my set can last up to an hour or more

what do you call this...accidental avant garde? :-D keep it up!
Hello Yan, please can you make a video "how to make techno with Opal by Fors" ?
Maybe someday :)
track id??

think he hasn’t released it unfortunately, amazing track
sounds good kick drum etc but that’s about 145bpm and it sounds slow. All the digitakt and Syntakt demos sound slow or plodding and energy draining.
yeah, so, the pauses are sometimes a bit nauseating, but the way you hold the beat...through them, I lowe my hat to you!
No Akustik!
