ZF make amazing auto gearboxes.. They basically combine the best of both worlds, the speed of a DCT and the comfort/smoothness of a torque converter automatic.. I fully understand BMW going for it.. I also have a older 6-speed ZF auto gearbox in my 2010 Z4 30i which is already pretty fast but the newer 8-9 speed ones are even much faster.. Only thing I do not like about mine is that in manual mode it still overrides you with kick-downs and up-shifts when hitting the rev-limiter.. Dunno if it does that with the newer versions and these M-models as well..
This gearbox is just a bit slower than the Mercedes 9G Tronic but is still really fast for a torque converter auto its sucks that they didnt use the M DKG gearbox wich is faster
Silver looks so nice on these cars.. it shows all design lines well and creates a nice contrast with all the black M-sport parts and wheels etc.. And it's the best colour to keep your car looking clean without having to wash it all the freaking time (black is the worst for that).. :)
And the Audi and the Merc fans are still complaining how older gen.RS6 or E63s can still keep up with that. Nope, not with this M5, fucking superb! And not to mention handling or some fun track day

I think it is faster than all stock Merc & Audi 0-100 (3.0) but it's on comfort suspension & steering It can do 0- 100 (2.8) with better tire and put all in sports mode

@GT-RACING-2 no dude the m5 faster on every single track so far tested. The gt-63 however is quite a bit faster on track. Its like m4 gts times. Unreal for a car that big. Shame the styling is so weird.
Dyno tests have proven that both the BMW M5 F90 and the Mercedes E63S have anywhere from 660-690 peak hp so the F90 Competition version would have at least 700hp not the 625hp BMW claim...
