Very nice landing! I've flown a 1980 TU-206G. A workhorse machine, indeed. As far as the "on off power" landing is concerned as someone said "Very inconsistent"...may be it should da frame rate sincronizing with the camera that show a little what the pilot it's actually doing: a great control over the engine power in order to get the machine well down in the limits. I love bush flying! Keep it!
Thanks for the response. 50 knots on a normal approach. We actually just hold that until right before the flare. At a certain point I just close the throttle and set a pitch attitude until it touches. I'm not looking at the airspeed at that point. 😄
el 206 se ve precioso en este fondo tan bonito. muy bonito video
All about power eh..Sounds awesome.
@TalkDaTech The Windsock is below the Treeline. Look at the leaves and branches on the trees and the left turn during the flare.
My goodness! It buzzed the tree tops!!
Very nice landing!!!!
I fly a 206 with Robertson STOL kit... and in slow flight at full flaps the airspeed gauge sits at zero if the airplane is very light.
Buen aterrizaje, se escucha chingon el motor.
Gracias.
looks like a very tough one. People may say the pilot touched hard. But I believe that's the right way to do it at that place with that plane.
Unfortunately there's a house there now. Do yall still use strawberry ridge?
people this is called : SHORT FIELD LANDING
Valhalla! Nice! Flown 67JA before. Nice plane.
Very nice landing!

Ultimate utility plane
Nice landing. bravo!
a little close to the trees? looks like he had some extra runway at the end.
Nice Landing!
Man I would have been a ball of nerves that close to the trees, which I guess is why my pilot skills keep me drooling on videos like this...lol

Bravo Zulu
It's not the easiest glide slope to judge with those trees at varying heights and what was obviously a fairly decent crosswind.
Good landing my friend. On a normal approach, what is the speed you use on that airplane?? And just before touch down??

good proccedure, easy to say but i think he could flare a little hard and have even softer touchdown
@TheEnglishWay1 You can go 40 in a cessna with full flaps
Slow Flight.... Thats a nice 206. Did he run off?
Nice butter
Thanks (-:
almost touched the last tree with a wheel. but very nice.
What is the final speed when fully loaded?
When fully loaded, its about 52 knots.
@jacobandgina damn, never knew it was that slow!
holy so close to the tree
Does it make the plane difficult to fly??
If I deduct it well, you had also some tail wind
.Wow, nicely done. Pilot didnt' touch hard at all that I can see.
where is that airstrip located?
It in the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina.
Penland, NC
What location?
Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina.
To fast and dragged out the approach . Come in steeper and slow it down
50kts !! Thats very slow for this plane, no ?
Full flaps stall speed is 37 knots with the Roberston Stol.
Sai árvores!!!! Lá vem um....
Pois é. rsrs
Looks like he was going a little faster than 50knots... just sayin.
