Sir as we didn't assign 1 as quantized level so we did the correction of I from 4to 3 but my question is how is that correction done
If we calculate Xq at highest amplitude we get Xq=1, but you have drawn that as 0.5
Because there is no higt value than .5 in 2 bit to take 1 you have increase the level of quantization.

How to reduced distortion in quantization process?
By increasing number of bits per sample, means by reducing steps size.
Basically he didn’t correctly know which is quantisation level in the figure that drawn himself.
At x=0.26 ,xq=0.5 but your xq was 0 at x=0.26
2.52 is rounded off to 2 which makes Xq=0
