Many years ago I read a fiction survival story where these people had nothing much but water and a bottle of multivitamins. They managed to walk a good while to safety and thought the vitamins helped them do it. Not too much longer after that I had an issue where it was difficult to eat, so I attempted the multivitamin technique. I quickly learned that taking vitamins like that on an empty stomach causes stomach pain. So I realized the survival story idea was totally wrong about that.
The vitamin B would keep you going briefly. In theory, it doesn't have enough electrolytes but yeah, on an empty stomach you're going to feel AWFUL. I'd break them into pieces and go 1/8 twice per day if possible.
I have these electrolyte packets, they also add flavor to water and have other vitamins. I only grabbed them because it has vitamins and flavor, but do you think tea is a good investment? Water is fine but I prefer flavors!
Could you do a video going over what vitamins should be eaten in addition to meal preps. As one would assume dries foods would be low in some key areas of nutrition, especially if you only eat only white rice each day.
I agree with about steel cut oats. I would need a lot more sugar to make it palatable. Great job with sticking to it for the challenge/video. I'm surprised that you didn't need more food during your challenge. Usually carbs have me hungry again in a couple of hours. I have no idea how you were able to skip lunch several days!
Doesn't this kinda to break up the flavor monotony make an argument for lower calorie vegetables to add to things. Green peas w the rice, dried berries w oatmeal, etc ? Great video. Whats your thoughts on MRE's? Steve1989 does excellent work discussing them..
My first thought with the three different kinds of carbs was to make a giant batch of beans at the start, then mix those in with the rice and the pasta to mix up the flavor and texture. Beans are a tough thing to cook though. Every time I have made them I have had to cook them a lot longer than I expected.
Be careful with storing cooked rice for more than 24 hours. Look up the effects on certain communities in parts of asia where they had to adopt new storage methods due to microtoxins forming from mold on cooked rice.
We don’t need 3 meals a day we eat way too much food ..we are supposed to eat when we feel hungry ..not 3 meals a day that’s a English concept and breakfast was a Kellogg idea everyone over eating
Great video my brother! LOVED it!
soaking with bi-carb soda will help soften old beans - discard the water - rinse and then boil in fresh water
