It was crazy seeing you go into the final boss fight and noticing the video only had 27 seconds left.
Beat the boss at turn 0.

The problem with molten mantle is that you are freezing your build. You cannot change anything but chests and ? Events. It honestly kinda sucks if you get it anytime before the end of chapter 2.
It's so broken that I actually refuse to take it from floor 2 most of the time just to make the game more fair. The downside is intended to be that you freeze your build, but it never actually ends up mattering since getting it just auto-wins the run 90% of the time.
the thing is, molten mantle alone makes your damage skyrocket to unthinkable levels, and that's before any gold synergy relics

@tmbocheeko I will gladly accept a free win based on how hard the cruciball gets around 10 and above.
@@CowKirbo Pretty much, yeah, so unless your orbs are absolutely horrendous, which is hard to achieve with how many good orbs you can work with, molten mantle just sweeps. Of course, if you take it as your first few relics and you can't upgrade any of your orbs, while stuck with just base stones, congratulations, you screwed yourself over XD

This is the kind of thing where if you play this game when you're a child, eventually when you hear someone say "swashbuckler" in real life you'll think they're referencing this game somehow
I've heard of 1 shotting the final boss before, but you somehow managed to 0 shot it. Incredible.

Well it isn't _that_ great. You get a baller couple first turns, but then you suck for the rest of the fight, and you can't upgrade or buy anything as well, so you stagnate even harder. This run was pretty scary.
That relic needs REALLY specific setup to work pre-take because it almost hardlocks your setup

Ooh can you do a compilation of every run that died with just a quick edit of the moment you died, and the mistake you made earlier in the run that brought you to that moment. RUclips Tyler never gets punished for not healing I've noticed.
Also what an absolutely insane run! The final boss really did not stand a chance against you.
After getting used to Tyler playing on 1.5x speed, going back to watching someone else playing Peglin on 1x speed now makes me feel like I've done a pound of Ketamine... 🤣

Molten Mantle partially negates the Chip, because most of its damage comes mid-shot and doesn't get the multiplier, positive nor negative

Do a custom run with the rebomb and the cookbook. Your bombs will do 5dmg. It's really fun.

I believe the Kobanorb is referencing the japanese Koban coin, known for their more oblong shape. You see them on the heads of those Maneki-Neko cats. The only reason I know this is from A) Playing Great Ace Attorney and B) Some light research

There's a relic that makes more gold on refreshes. I did a refresh heavy build with that relic and molten mantle, and I literally beat every following fight in one turn. Molten mantle is broken

I'd love to see other Peglin characters added, with different starting buffs and nerfs.
Sisypegus (or Pegyphus) who starts with double health and a level 3 bouldorb and its all about collecting orbs to deal with flying enemies.
Ebenorbza Scrooge who starts with 3 Poltorbgeist and collects triple coins but you can only spend money once per floor or something...

Molten Mantle was nerfed before Tyler even saw it the first time iirc, because on release it was every single coin collected, not every 2.

Merry Christmas!! Epic video today those coins relics and orbs are so cool and poweful! (rip the final boss XD)
So I just found an "infinite" damage combo. Basic set up was a one orb deck, doesn't matter what orb. The relic that makes consecutive orbs get +1/+2. Relic that makes you unable to take damage while reloading. And the relic that gives overflow. You basically just discard your one orb over and over and you will keep getting more and more damage each time.
I say infinite because the only limiting factor on damage is how much time you're willing to spend discarding.

I think you should still be able to gain coins post battle during the direction choice with that relic.
It's both very entertaining to see more of Tyler's pegging action and equally frustrating to see him constantly shoot himself in the foot

I wouldn't say it's the strongest relic, or atleast it's only the strongest if you have correct build for it. Generally taking it from first bossfight is gamelosing because of its downside, and for floor 2 you just can't always count on getting it and the downside is still impactful. It didn't hurt you that much because your orbs were already lvl 3 and they were synergyzing with both your build and the Molten Mantle. So, while it may be the strongest relic you just often can't afford to take it
That relic is INSANE. The only downside is you get locked into your current build in terms of orbs. I think it will probably need a nerf
If you can get even a few damage buffs on Molten Mantle it goes through the roof. Seriously Power Glove + Basic Knife or Complex Claw and any orb of reasonable damage or multi-hit potential and you'll melt everything.

Am I crazy or does the mysterious 3 spirits encounter feel like a slay the spire reference? Only difference is STS it's upgrade, remove or TRANSFORM, but Peglin it's DUPLICATE.

i got peglin yesterday and one of the runs i did was molten mantle and it was stupid op; i was killing bosses before even shooting a second orb; its super fun; especially with refresh synergy and that one that makes 2 gold appear on refresh
also; i tried out the gold creation orb and i think it sucks it was doing nothing
I know there's an achievement for defeating a boss with one throw, but honestly they should make a new one just for Tyler, for defeating a boss with no throw

This relic sure is... something. I took it during an already solid recent run the other day after act one where I stockpiled gold and then proceded to one turn the entire rest of the game. I didn't take damage for 2 acts. This thing is broken broken.

If I remember correctly you aren't able to target invisible enemies, so if he got the fight with the invisible enemy with the deck he had during the boss would have only been able to damage with nosforbatu?
