Dimash is a 29-year-old Kasakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and is completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts, and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He has that peculiarity, he has sung in Italian, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian, English, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, as well as Kazakh, which is beautiful. (I'm sure I'm missing languages, he's already reached 13) He is a very special, complete artist, he reaches 7 octaves, but for me the most impressive thing is his dedication and human quality. Dimash is a 29-year-old Kasakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and is completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts, and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave 2 semi-tone range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. Me lleva a pensar en la voz de Dimash y el elemento terapéutico que supuestamente tiene en muchas personas. A menudo he comentado sobre la capacidad de Dimash para transmitir emociones profundas a través de su voz (incluso cuando existen barreras del idioma, Dimash parece capaz de transmitir el sentimiento vocalmente). Por los videos que he visto y los artículos que he leído, Dimash es un ser humano muy enfocado (¡obviamente talentoso!), que tiene un profundo sentido de conexión con las cosas simples de la vida: familia, fe, belleza, niños, amistades y respeto. (No digo que estas sean las únicas cosas que valora, pero parecen ser recurrentes). Esto ya no se trata sólo de octavas(7 y 3 semitonos conocidas por el momento), registros de silbidos (como escucharás) o incluso más que una técnica simple, inmensa y vocal, Dimash tiene una voz universal. Para ser claro, su voz es como lo que en biología se llama una célula madre. En este sentido es una "voz madre". A partir de esta célula se puede generar cualquier tipo de tejido, lo que comúnmente se llaman géneros musicales. Sus transiciones son tales que la transición ya no existe. Dimash no canta los diferentes géneros (ópera, pop, rock, también rap, jazz, neoclásico, crossover, etc...). Dimash ya tiene, desde el principio, todos los géneros. En su caso, los géneros musicales no son más que una coloratura, una inflexión, una declinación de su voz general. Lo mismo se aplica, por supuesto, a todos sus registros de voz. I have known Bel Canto [the Italian-originated vocal style that prevailed throughout most of Europe during the 18th and early 19th centuries] since I was born. (Dimash was trained in Bel Canto for many years.). Let’s make one thing clear: Dimash is not only good in this or that field, in this or that aspect of singing, Dimash is the sound field, Dimash is the totality. This is no longer about octaves (7 and 3 semitones known by now), whistle registers (as you have heard), or even more than simple, huge vocal technique, Dimash has an historically epic voice.

He'd barely sung the first note and all my body hair stood up. Goosebumps over goosebumps. He learned this song the day before the concert. I heard he wanted to sing another song, but changed his mind and choose this song. He wasn't sure he would feel confident enough to perform it. But eventually he decided to sing it. In the end of the song he imitates an Armenian Flute, the Duduk, with his voice. The whole song is so incredible.

Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Did you mention Armenia? Dimash sang a song in Armenian at his recent concert there. He has that peculiarity, he has sung in Italian, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian, English, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, as well as Kazakh, which is beautiful. (I'm sure I'm missing languages, he's already reached 13) He is a very special, complete artist, he reaches 7 octaves, but for me the most impressive thing is his dedication and human quality. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. Не похоже, что Димаш произвел большое впечатление на этих молодых людей. Для них -это просто эффектное пение. Одно из многих. Они слишком молоды для интересных реакций на серьезных исполнителей и похоже, нет музыкального образования и представления о вокале, чтобы по достоинству оценить таких певцов. Пожалуй, вокалисты из Армении или Швеции, как они пожелали, вполне их удовлетворят: во всех странах есть прекрасные голоса и певцы. Но Димаш - уникален! Такой - один на планете.
