If I had known they were going to KO this, I would have waited but he's my favorite character so I got the TT version. Oh well. I don't get most of their releases anyway.
Jetfire's appearance in the Void Rivals comic made me decide to pre-order this from Show Z. I can't wait to pose this toy with the tiny custom Void Rivals figures I made for myself.
1st party = Takara / Hasbro 2nd = licenced products that doesn't transform 3rd = Fans Toys, MMC, Xtransbots and the likes that make and design their own Transformers 4th = KO Transformers that's a replica of the original.
This is probably the most insulting knockoff of a Transformers Masterpiece of all time. Not only does it spit in the faces of the designers after all the work they went through to design the brilliant original product, but it shamelessly copies everything down to the accessories and minifigures without changing a thing. The only reason diecast was added to this KO was because the cheap plastic they used couldn't hold the shape of the original design the same way the original, high-quality plastic does. And on top of all that, the KO alt mode doesn't even tab in place properly, and falls apart, while the original stays in shape. The only knockoff of the original that I would accept would be an oversized version (in fact, I'm hoping an oversize of MP-57 Skyfire does happen).
The original toy was named Jetfire, but in the G1 cartoon he was named Skyfire. There is a long and complicated reason for it, that I won't get into here, but the shortest version I can give is the cartoon makers needed to make the character distinct from the toy to not upset the group who owned the animation rights to the toy Jetfire was based on. In modern times the toymakers use the Jetfire name more frequently, but because this particular product is based strictly on the G1 cartoon version it is named Skyfire.
Long story short, Hasbro licensed the Macross plane for the US but, Bandai had the rights to it in Japan. Since Bandai and Takara are competitors, in order to televise Transformers in Japan, they needed to change the design of the jet. Jetfire was the original name as it's based on a real jet, hence the name Jetfire. However, with the redesign, they changed the name to Skyfire because it's still a plane but, not a realistic looking one so, it's Skyfire as the plane can still fly in the sky.
@@johnl6192 It is only a head or so taller than the Siege version. That part that is considerably taller is his backpack, not only cause the MP is taller but even if they were the same height the MP's backpack juts up more than Siege's more rounded back.
Didn't like the Takara Tomy version, so definitely could care less about this K.O. . There needs to be a lot of modifications done to this design to make it better, in my opinion. Way to many visible gaps, in alt. mode.
The Fans Toys version has just as many gaps and I'll list 4 of them, all in robot mode as that's how I have him displayed. There's a huge gap between the backpack and back. There's also a gap that's underneath his shoulders and there's a gap in his crotch area and all three goes all the way through. There's also a gap between his crotch and cockpit. None of these gaps are in the Takara Tomy Skyfire. If you're going to nitpick, you have to do it for both of them.
@saysoun752 I don't own any Fans Toys products, nor do I like their designs. I'm simply disappointed. The Hasbro Siege figure, which is a lot cheaper, didn't have any gaps.
@@devoidoflogic556 He does though as he's got the same gap between his backpack and legs in alt mode and the underneath portion is a huge hollow space.
I disagree but, we're allowed to disagree. Really depends on how cartoon accurate you like your toys. I have Siege as well and jumped on the Takara Tomy Skyfire as soon as he went up for pre-orders.

Sky fire 🔥 is totally one of my most favorite Transformers like, ever.
That’s a nice work of art right there!
No, it’s not, you’re crediting the wrong people
@@ViewpointProd so where did I state I was crediting anyone at all? It’s a matter of opinion and I don’t care about yours and NO ONE asked you for it.
This figure sounds like every piece will break into pieces
I sold my official MP and ordered this one. Looks good enough. I don't mind trimming some mould flash and painting the eyes if it saves me $100.
Spectacular 👌🏻 this Transformers is very good, the level of detail and engineering, excellent review broh, greetings 💪🏻🇦🇷
Omg they didnt make the KO with blue eyes! 🤦♂️ major flaw!!
$102 vs $270, before tax. I have the original and I'm still considering this so I can box up the original and display the KO.
I know, what a shame! I was totally about to buy this from ShowZ but now I’m not so sure… Looks pretty great otherwise
Ainda prefiro o FT. E a transformação em nave tem enormes defeitos de sustentação no seu meio.
Very cool video mangmotion
Nice review

does 4th party mean a knock off got knocked off???

Muito obrigado.
Hmm. The quality doesn’t seem to be much improved. Also, the face plates are a total miss. No painted eyes and a clear visor? What?

🔥🔥🔥
Question is CAN HE GERWALK
The answer is on the back of the box
Sky fire??? Pretty sure his name is jet fire cuz I’ve never heard of sky fire b4 in the armada series when I was younger back in the day

What scale is it?
MP, although it's only a bit taller than the Siege version to really it can go with both scales.

Honestly war for cybrotron sige jet fire is better mp57 and the KO design looks so odd
