Hello Mike, back on our local farm in England they used to run 3 Massey 565 combines until they upgraded to a pair of 760’s. What a fantastic machine they were for their time! After the first season they branched out into contract harvesting because they could cover so much acreage. Happy days running corn cart for them in the 80’s. we spent the summer of 2017 crossing your great country from west to east in an RV and caught some harvesting in Saskatchewan, man, you guys farm on an epic scale and it’s a joy to watch. Such a shame that my wife doesn’t share my interest☹️ She says that the collective noun for a group of combines is a “boredom”. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos and share your working life with us, it’s much appreciated mate😀
Oh man it's so relieving to hear a combine operator to nicely tell the cart operator that he's full. Need more combine pilots like you in this world mike!
5 fingers? That's weird, most people I see going down the road in a combine or tractor only have 1. Wish your entire family and crew a very good and safe harvest.
Still my favorite channel on farm stuff, I learn a lot about grain farming and you get your hands on all the coolest iron too:) Can't wait for the long awaited pull offs!!

It does not matter the "color" of our equipment either. Our equipment decisions are based on how close the service is, what kind of service we get, how dependable the equipment is and how easy is it to get parts & fix when they break. Like you said, everything breaks.
Mike you are right about the brand bashing, I've owned a lot of different colored equipment. The thing is that it really doesn't matter what color it is, it's what you like to work on because they ALL break down.
Love the videos, thanks to you and a few other farming channels, Welkers, Larson farms Sonne farms to name a few I've pretty much stopped watching TV. And just watch RUclips.
I'm all for having fun and coming up with some kind of shenanigan at work. It makes time go by a little faster but I also take my work seriously so we would get along just fine. Awsome videos 🚜👍
reason number 10 and 11 in a way is what i like most about you Mike you say it exactly how it is about equipment no matter what the color good and bad but you don't call anything down
Hey Mike, I enjoy very much all your videos. I don’t like to criticize other peoples videos or what they do in them or what they drive etc., it’s their life they do what they want I can either watch or not watch. Your videos, I like very much you guys be safe out there and of course have lots of fun.
Good morning Mike.. Thank you for the lunch time video ❤️❤️❤️ 2 more questions....right or left handed....boxers, briefs or commando 🤔 have a marvelous Monday ❤️❤️❤️
I like the way you roll Mike I am definitely going to enjoy following you I like the rules too I hate people bashing me too what I drive or how I do things and when I am out farming it is my happy time stay safe have fun Mike till next time have fun man
You can't tell in most tractors on carts. My 235R was not enough HP for a 1000bu cart but I had to ask cuz you can't see the back of your cart in the cab
Question- how does it work, passing a farm along to the children? As a father decides to pull back and not work so hard, does he pre-inherit part of the farm as kids get older, or do they have to take out a loan and buy into the farm? Of course it's no one's business your exact situation, but maybe you could tell how this is done most commonly, or the most common 2-3 procedures? Just impressed with how many multi-generational farms are out in the world, curious how this works...
Many different options but usually either pre inherit once the next gen is old enough to take over and the parents take a portion of profit to live comfortably on. Or take out a loan and buy the farm off the parents. Or some people still do it the old way where kid gets a shitty wage until the parents die then inherit the farm
@@ryanwilling6302 another way is buy (or lease) some land (if they can find some) and use the parents equipment to work it and start accumulating assets that way until they have to buy them out completely.
Hello Mike yes I am a middle child too. Only I was the daughter between two brothers. Who took care of the house for a blind mother. Meanwhile my brothers were off getting in trouble. I became the angel of the family. This was a great video. Sorry you lost your pants. You all take care God bless you all.
Liking 12 things about Mike especially I also middle child sharing with my twin brother👍Funny, my uncle last year cop a chemical shower from hose blowing off the sprayer. Mike wondering are you missing MF 860 this year harvest?
Enjoy your videos Mike! I know you mid row band, do you guys broadcast P and/or K on your cereals and lentils? do you change row widths on any crops, soil types, etc.
Years ago in our area two sons played a practical joke on their father who was combining. In a particular swath that was full of weeds & on the green side thus difficult to harvest they hid a “Dead Skunk”. The father plugged the combine with the dead skunk inside and lets just say the combine sat for many days in the field before a commercial company could be lined up to unplug and sanitize the unit. That smell got into everything and eventually the combine got traded in on a new unit at the dealership I worked for. MAJOR REDUCTIONS in “Trade In Value” due to TERRIBLE SMELL. 🤢😷☠️
great video Mike now i have 1 thing to ask have you ever meet the farmer that butts up to your field from the usa and just talked you know about farming his tricks your tricks just meet and talk i would love to see that someday
You ever let anyone hunt you’re land for waterfowl? I’m big into hunting and haven’t been up that way in years! Great job on the videos can’t wait to see the next one!
I assume that you've already answered this, but I haven't read or heard you comment about Versatile brand equipment. They seem to make impressive tractors! What do you think?
Mike I saw you have Wilson super b grain trailers, why not try Lode King made in Winkler Manitoba as I am wondering about the Wilson's manufacturing origin.Try and keep our purchases Canadian EH
First piece of equipment is sold by the price tag and the curiosity to try something diffrent, everything else beyond that is sold by the quality of the machine and even more the service of the local Dealer. Just had some trouble with an excavator, main hydraulic valve block has some troubles, the machine is 7 years old and has ~7500 hours, new main hydraulic block is 20k... but since the machine had all services done by the dealer, and the manufactor knows he had problems with that series... we get the block for 5k and a loaner for the time in the shop. And i See those Fendt Guys learned that lesson.
Great channel, I really enjoy the videos. Would love to see you do a vid on some of your stat's for the farm. Like number of acres, your position, how long you usually keep a machine....that kind of stuff. Feel free to send me a private comment as well. Just really interested, I farm myself (one man operation) not near the size of your operation, but very curious, and honestly envious....would love to be a full time farmer, but the economics for me just will not work
Your final comment about having some fun is very important and overlooked in most operations of any kind , work is great but having a little fun at work is even better !; Pants are overrated anyhow ,better than rotting the family jewels off with chemicals !!!!
Like your stuff Mike. I dont bash color as well. There is no one perfect tractor out there. Which leads me to ask. Do you run New Holland or Massey? Never seen any on your videos. Just started following you prior to planting so not sure on those make.
Hey, thanks for the content never missed any of yoir videos. I once wrote you alrrady about it you said you never tried it. But. Maybe if it were interesting for youn talk to your Agco dealer about trying out a Valtra S 400. It is a Finnish tractor with a Finnish engine - Sisu.... nkwadays called Agco power. But I would definaty love if you gave it a go. Stay awesome! Cheers from Central Europe
The fact that you aren't biased is why I like your content. You have always been honest about the good and bad of the equipment you run. That's great.
