This is my favorite topper gel💕 ..it works beautifully for me with Kinky Custard and no leave-in and I do not get blue flakes. I emulsify it really really well in my hands prior to applying it to my hair. I wash once a week and and workout 5 days a week and my hair still looks bomb on day 6 … I refresh with a little water and/or mousse if I want some of my strands to look more defined. I love the fact there are not a ton of ingredients in it too! 👍🏾🙌🏾😇💝

To me it smells like an old man’s perfume but I have already repurchased the 32 oz that’s how much I love this gel. I’ll tolerate the smell just to get the hold.😂

I also wonder about those serums like the texture ID one or Soultaticals frizzwiz? They kind of have a similar consistency as curly magic but without the hold. My experiments with those is still ongoing 😅
Hair looks great! That ingredient list looks incomplete. My sister was going to try this gel a few years ago. On her container, Mica powder was listed in the ingredients. I wonder why they removed it. I believe that is what gives it the blue color. She ended up not using it due to some concerns regarding the Mica powder.
Flakes are already a no-no for me (enough to throw said product out!) but blue ones? Man, I would die. For me the only product that (has to be) a one product styler is the Every strand curling cream. It has a quite light hold, and I use it a lot in the summer.
I LOVE your videos (and your hair!). Could you please try Deva Curl's SuperMousse? Please? I'm not sure what to think and I value your opinion! What do YOU think?
Another commenter said there was mica on another ingredient list previously. They say that it could be the source of the color. Seems legit to me. 🤷🏽♀️
I've been waiting for you to review this one! You are not the only one confused by it, lol. When I watched Niesha use it she was so doubtful that it would work on her hair, but her hair turned out great with a harder hold than she was expecting. Your WnG looks lovely.💜 It would be interesting to see how Kurltini does over KKKC, UFD, or Curl Maker. BTW: Do you have any plans to try the NLS Okra gel or Innersence ICD foam? I keep hearing that the ICD has a lot of hold. I plan to try it at some point because I like a foam WnG. However, I know I'll need to use something under it because it almost gave Destiny ramen noodle curls. Even though we have different textures my coils tend to get ramen noodle curls with firm hold stylers.
Well, I can already say that it does well over UFD. 👍🏽 While I don’t currently have plans to try these products, I’m not opposed. On first glance, I’m not sure the kind of hold I’d get from the Okra product. That’s why I didn’t get it when it came out.
@@WhatTheKink’d be interested in seeing you try NLS’ okra gel as well. I don’t get flakes and I like the hold! My only complaint is that I much prefer a leave-in under it rather than being a standalone wng product

Had no issues with UFD. The serum-like products will likely work well too. 🤔

Would Mica give this colour or blue pigment?
@@uberhaute_naturalz84 mica can be used to add color or shimmer to products so it could just be that alone.
