Not technically no. 15 years is a whole generation or 11. That McCringe dude said that gen alpha started in 2010 but he was wrong. Extremely wrong to the point where it feels like charles darwin is lecturing me with lies in science class. 2013 is the first start of gen alpha, not 2010.
Too the people saying a generation is 15 years long: You're wrong, a generation is not 15 years long. The placement of a generation is based on Technological and Societal changes with major events or innovations creating "landmarks" for their placement. The placement of a generation does not follow a strict calendar of 15 years, 15 years is just a suggestion from private organizations. A Generation is supposed to capture the essence of change, for example, GenY was defined by the fall of the berlin was and the end to the cold war, GenZ was defined by the Advent of the smartphone, and social media, and GenA was defined by COVID-19, and the increased use of Artificial Intelligence.

Generation Alpha: 2013-2024
- Length: 11 years
Generation Beta: 2025
@Etherus69 you're false, Pew research centre the organisation that decide the placement of generations define generation as . "A generation typically refers to groups of people born over a 15-20 year span" so in It's word Gen Alpha is still 11 years if Gen Beta will start in 2025 therefore Gen Beta should start in 2029 to complete the 15 year period of Gen Alpha, 15 years span is the least year span of any generation according to Pew. Even McCrindle say gen beta start in 2025 because he thought that Gen Alpha started in 2010 which is again 14-15 years which is 100% wrong because Gen Alpha started in 2013, if he knows that it started in 2013 he will say Gen Beta will start in 2029 So buddy on what ground you stand believing this spiral madness of false information that Gen Beta start in 2025 when in reality it will start in 2029 or at minimum 2028
@@wanderer2014False Again, Pew Research Centre does not decide the placement of a generation. Pew research analyzes demographics and trends, but they do not set official standards, They do not
have official authority to "decide" generational boundaries, they do not set universal standards that others must follow, and they do not hold exclusive rights to define generations. Your argument falls apart because it's built on the false premise that Pew Research's 15-20 year guideline is an official rule that must be followed. In reality, generational spans are determined through consensus among researchers, historians, and demographers, often shaped by significant cultural and societal events rather than strict time requirements as you claim.
Please consider that Pew Research Centre is not the only organization researching and defining generations, there is also:
McCrindle Research
Goldman Sachs
U.S. Census Bureau
Population Reference Bureau
Academic institutions
Market research firms such as YouGov, AtlasIntel, Etc
Please research more than one source, you can't call other organizations incorrect when you've only looked into one. Saying McCrindle placed Gen Beta where it did because "He Thought" is not very reassuring. Especially when you're the one accusing me of spreading misinformation.
@Etherus69a generation of a baby can’t be determined based on “technological and societal changes” and the reason why is because there are other countries out there my American friend and not all countries experience a “technological and societal change” at the same time. I don’t know if this makes sense but either way, an every-15-years type of generation is better.
If a Zoomer had a kid at 14, and their kid had one at 14, we could see first Zoomer grandparent in 2025

Pretty much.

I hate this whole generation thing. I am gen alpha and is neither obsessed with skin care or social media. I feel my personality would be more of a gen Z
Your generation is always the butt of the joke sadly but atleast "Gen Beta" exists now
We already passed 15 years to another generation wow

As a gen z person I can’t believe a generation is born already
my dad: baby boomer
my mom: gen x
me and my twin: gen z
jesus, your parents are a generation apart? What's up with men not finding people their own age?

What a cute Beta 🗿🍷
Yeah he's full of money

Good luck generation beta from a millenial. It is going get soo ridiculous expensive , that you going to regret the day you were born.
Lol in sure people who was born in the 1940's to 1950's was saying the same thing around the time you was born 😂😂😂 ain't nothing new under the sun
@@CheckYaself-r5y Not really, when boomers became adults and had kids in the ‘80s the economy was great. Sure, inflation has always existed, but if you were average income/middle class you didn’t really struggle much financially. Millennials were the first generation not being able to afford to move out of their parents house until their mid to late 20s, and now the same thing is happening with gen z, and that trend will likely continue into gen beta.
@CheckYaself-r5y in millennial time you can buy two bottles of soda for a dollar. 4 bag of potato ships for a dollar. Mcdonald McChicken and cheese burger were about $2. Nyc Metrocards were $2. You can buy two supermarkets carts of food with $200.
Compare to the post COVID 19 economy and it is getting more expensive. We had it easy.

There's alot of confusion on the years of when gen z actually starts, but i DEFINITELY never heard of 2000 being for millennials. Everybody's cut off ALWAYS included 2000 for GEN Z. How did you get this wrong?
@ exactly I never heard 2000 being millennials either
This is like an Onion news piece.
Their childhood will be the most advanced with social media and AI
I don’t understand how they determined this is a new generation? My understand is that Gen Z starts in 1997 because they can no longer remember 9/11. How did they determine when Gen beta begins?
We indian had beta and beti 1000 years ago. West is behind us.

arent they being born in 2028? i thought a generation was 15 years
yep, gen a started in 2010
A generation is not 15 years long, it's a false generalization. The length of a generation does not follow a mathematical formula, or a particular sequence, it's instead based on worldwide changes in technology and society, these things we cannot predict.

This is more arbitrary than we’re allowing it to be. There’s overlap at the ends of the generations. No one has the same life experience. Don’t feel restricted to the definitions of your generational box.
I don't think we need a new generation name for every single year that passes.
Gen Z is 1997-2012
0:27 Isn’t 2025 the first Quarter of the century?
Technically.
Check this out: the 2000s century, from 2000 to 2099.
I messed up. It is 21st century!
Inb4 "ok beta"
Why is being a beta suddenly a good thing?😅
It’s not, it’s all propaganda and control.
Prop a gand a.
This generation terms is just getting too much, is just a way to divide people even more.
And by the way, is getting shorter and shorter, generation alpha? 😂 I didn't know about that
I agree with you wholeheartedly. It is sad.
I feel they skipped a year to have the babies to be in Gen *Beta* instead of Gen *Alpha*
According to the time span of each “generation”, it is 15 years.
Gen Z was 15.
They did 14 years for Gen Alpha.
Perhaps they did the generation time frame shorter and shorter. It is to divide people further and further.
It is prophesied and recorded in Matthew 24:12, “And because of the increasing of lawlessness, the love of the greater number will grow cold.”
Ignore the trend, 2025 is still Gen Alpha and Gen Beta will start in 2028, they say it started in 2025 because they steal the Gen Z years 2010, 2011, and 2013 from us Gen Z to give to Alpha so it will start in 2010 to complete the 15 year span to 2025 when in reality 2010,11 and 12 are Gen Z years which makes Gen Alpha to start in 2013 thereby Gen Alpha will end in 2027 to make Gen Beta to start in 2028
It’s going to be bad and federal minimum wage is stuck at 7.25 and there will be more homeless then actually have an apartment.

These children better not have incompetent parents that shove a screen to their faces, and being exposed to the internet at a age that is WAY to early. Hoping the best for these new babies, even if there is challenges
"I think it'll be pretty exciting that you know, my child will be born in 2025."
Can we check on that guy in like 10 years? I want to see if he's as excited as he was here.
Although I want to hear the new brainrot terms they make up, in like 10 years when they dare to 'comprehend' reading
Oh my God, why are people still having children? It's not for the sake of the child. It's always for the sake of the parents and their own happiness. This poor child is going to have a life of misery on its hands
open abortion clinics! (in black neighborhoods)
Because not everybody is a depressed nobody like you
Because they can. It's their choice. You can't expect everyone to stop having kids just because of the world now. Plus the world ain't ending
1:22 3:33 3:49 no way this is on the news the second hand embarrassment is crazy
True I know the internet more than my parents, use social media too much, feeling stuck one year in life, and trying to still continue traditions and other things. Wondering what will happen next with this newer generation?
*Unspeakable things and horrors beyond our comprehension.*
I feel so bad for any baby right now. No one should be bringing kids into this world. Absolutely awful. 😢
We are on the lowest birthrate in human history. We need to encourage people to be getting married and having kids, not being selfish and dying alone. Stop telling people to not have kids
Gen Alpha is 2010 to 2024? How is a generation only 14 years long? The average American person is pushing 30 when they have their first baby these days. A "generation" should be 25-30 years.
Yeah these kids will not thank you for bringing them into a rotting world. So don't expect it.

@@MSaleh-vy8rr Not just the US but the world too
Too the people saying a generation is 15 years long:
You're wrong, a generation is not 15 years long.
What are you talking about? Gen Alpha hasn't even finished being born yet!
