If you want to hear a song with a good bit of "Gospel Rob" singing, listen to their version of "What Christmas Means to Me". He sangs his backside off.
I absolutely loved Rob's gospel sound. I loved everything about this song. You remember that Shawn Stockman was a judge on The Sing Off. I enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
These guys do an amazing job of this song! They can do any genre including R&B. Rob's voice has so much feeling & soul in it. Austin adding his higher tones, Chance is holding down the bass in the back, Tim adding some deeper bass notes & Adam with his fabulous vocal percussion. These guys are my favorite a cappella group out there. Shawn Stockman from Boyz II Men was one of the judges on the "Sing Off" that Home Free won & he was a big fan of these guys from the start. I'm sure he loved their version of this song.
No one can get enough of Home Free. Just found your channel and that statement made me immediately subscribe instead of waiting to see if you really dove into the HF rabbit hole (it's a fun and fabulous place to explore). As usual the boys took this song to the next level.
So good! You’re right…Rob crushed it! When they were on the Sing Off Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge and he loved them. I think they did justice to the song. Just a great rendition! Good one Nick! 🥰😍
They killed this. Sean from BoyZ II Men encouraged them to do this. Home Free don't do covers they do upgrades. Rob took us to church! Love your reaction!
This is one of the best examples of how you can forget that there are no instruments here. And on that last chorus when they all drop out their "instruments" and sing the lyrics, it's a shock to remember that weren't any in the first place! The range and diversity of Home Free is beyond comprehension. If you are in the Christmas spirit now, PLEASE put "Do You Hear What I Hear" at the top of your do list! It's an early work, but a masterpiece and arranged by Adam Rupp. You will not be disappointed!!!
Ah, but there _is_ an instrument. Listen carefully to the choruses, and you'll hear a subtle organ pad. I dunno why they did it; it's not necessary, but there it is.
Thank you Nick, I just love your Home Free reactions! Rob killed it and the harmonies and beatboxing behind him really added to the overall feel. These boys can do anything, love these boys! ❤#HomeFree
FYI- Chance held the bass line in this. For more awesome Rob I suggest the following-“What Christmas Means to Me”. He gets to cut loose. “Dreamer”, but be sure it’s the studio version, not the one they did with Texas Hill(this one is good, but to me Rob and Chance come through better in the studio version). And one from 2013- Home Free at the Hosanna concert singing the carol “ Joy To the World “.( This is all in the title). It’s a jazzy, funky arrangement, and Gospel Rob really digs deep in this one. There’s also a beatbox breakdown that’s amazing. Someone in comments mentioned “Catch Me if You Can”. I second that.
Home Free is beyond words to describe other than addictive (for me). I’ve heard this song I don’t know how many times now and I still love watching reactions.
I am enjoying your reactions so much! Thanks for doing Home Free so much, our favorite always. The guys are just the nicest group of men and friends/brothers. It shows so much thru their singing and on stage interactions. We are so blessed! Be sure to watch the jazzy Joy to the World, the Hosanna Concert (Dec 2013). Sooo good! Take care.
When Home Free does a cover, they pay homage to the original, but always make it their own. Their covers are always upgrades❣️🎼🥰🎶❤ As far as I'm concerned all of the Home Free guys "emote" through their music/videos better than just about anyone else out there--and in this one Rob showcases his gospel/R&B genius in a way that seems to surprise everyone ❣️❣️❣️ #HomeFree
I love Boyz II Men and have played End of the Road so many times. I never thought I'd ever like a cover of this song. But Home Free did it, while maintaining the respect for the original. How wonderfully sung by all! But for me it is mainly Rob Lundquist who nailed it. What a great voice with so much soul in it. He touches me deep inside. Of course it is the combination of the other leads , fantastic harmony, bone-feeling bassline and the inhuman vocal percussion (Adam Rupp) that makes it complete.
Thank you for acknowledging the siren-I thought it was nearing me! I love it when Rob gets down and gritty. Aaanndd, the thunder at my house synced up with yours although I’m watching an hour or so after you posted.
Austin's voice is HIGHER, Tim's is LOWER, and more diverse in range, Chance can cut it nearly as wide as Tim .... and even Adam (Rupp) can sing a sweet Tenor voice .... BUT, ROB HAS ALWAYS OWNED THAT SMOOTH, PERFECT PITCH SWEET MID TENOR VOCAL TALENT we love .... until this song ! Here he does runs, growls, adlibs that make you startled and impressed .... what a great vocal band to have ONE AFTER THE OTHER be so talented in so many ways .... Just Love these gentlemen !!! jj
The killed it, and the fact they worked with Shawn Stockman from boys to men on the sing-off compatition and encouraged them to give it a try. Absolutely amazing!
One of my favorites by Home Free but then again I say that about every one of their songs or covers! lol I shouldn’t call it a cover I should call it an upgrade because that’s what they are…all upgrades!
As you listen to Home Free, you'll find that while Austin and Tim are often carrying the lead, each member of the group gets a turn. I started out by first hearing Austin Brown sing solo, with keyboard accompaniment, Unchained Melody (you should find this). When I heard Home Free, I thought he was their lead singer. Gradually, I heard everyone solo (Adam R. on beatbox, amazingly), and I realized how much depth there is in this group. Many fans appreciate the sharing of the spotlight among them.
They did an absolute phenomenal job with their version of this song. Chance was actually doing the bass in this song. Except for that little bit the Tim sang. I enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
Tim and Rob sing bass ,tenor and anything in between, Austin loves hitting those high notes and all of them are experts with sound effects and sing at the same time,
Never heard of Home Free. Again, from you, a new experience at 75 🎂

These guys are just magical ! Rob really gets his "gospel" Rob on

Best I’ve ever heard Rob. Need to see more of his solos
Rob taking us to church..🎶💚🎶...

The soul in Rob's voice in this song is when he stole my heart.
One of their masterpieces! Rob is incredible!!

Gotta love a Gospel Rob moment! He shines here! HF took a song we all know and love and did it their way, I love this!
FYI- Chance held the bass line in this. For more awesome Rob I suggest the following-“What Christmas Means to Me”. Joy To The World is awesome!
It's added so much since Chance joined for he can really hold down which frees Tim up to do more.
GOSPEL ROB KILLS IT!!! ❤❤❤❤
I consider this Rob's shining moment. He could not have done more.
Home Free is beyond words to describe other than addictive (for me). I’ve heard this song I don’t know how many times now and I still love watching reactions.
Let me introduce you to our amazingly talented friend, Gospel Rob! #HomeFree never disappoints!
Enjoy your reactions. Thanks.
Always love your Home Free reactions!

Showing off Rob's soul.
Rob certainly does rise to the occasion in this one. Great reaction.
Enjoyed your reaction 😊 Another song for Rob (and my fave of his) is 'Catch Me If You Can'
Love Catch Me If You Can! It is not reacted to nearly enough! ❤
Also Spaceship
Didnt know about this group before this. I'm a fan, this is amazing 😍
Now you know why Rob is called Gospel Rob.
Thank you for acknowledging the siren-I thought it was nearing me! I love it when Rob gets down and gritty. Aaanndd, the thunder at my house synced up with yours although I’m watching an hour or so after you posted.

Seems like they don't show case Rob enough, he's doing an amazing job, this is such a great version
#HOMEFREE
Opera, R&B, country - no matter the genre they have got it covered!
Love your reaction well done, keep them coming. Love Home Free there so good
Wasn’t that great?? Seriously, these guys are phenomenal!!! ❤❤❤

I wonder what Sean (judge from the Sing Off Boyz alumn) would say about their rendition.
Thx Nick ~ 🖤🍟

Love your reactions! One x,as sing I am anxious for you to do is Hime Free version “Do you Hear What I hear”
All the popular acapella are good, I listen to them every once in a while but Home Free can sing any genre.! And make it betted.!
Tim and Rob sing bass ,tenor and anything in between, Austin loves hitting those high notes and all of them are experts with sound effects and sing at the same time,
Rob and Austin are opera trained singers. Love These Guys!!
Austin is not trained in opera. He was trained in musical theater.
@@denicesanders4586 Have you heard them both sing opera? Sight said they are classically trained. It's beautiful
Can’t get any better than that!! Love your reactions!
Thank you so much!!
💯 crushed it. Great reaction as always
That WAS gOSPEL
Absolutely!
Great rxn as usual
Did you catch the organ? Almost everybody misses the organ. Listen to the choruses again, and look for a subtle organ pad in the background.
WOW
Surprise! 😮
ONE FOR THE ALGORITHM. CHEERS!!
Yesterday Monday 20/5/24 had a covid jab .covid is getting bad so is USA.So guys be careful
😉 ❤. Bed time,,kl 23.30 her in Norway.
Good but still like the original.
Pretty amazing you call this a real throwback on the same day you release a Kenny Rogers video without calling it a throwback... lol
