This should be referred to as "bring your own therapy dog back from the war", really cuts down on a lot of bureaucratic paperwork, assessment and institutionalized friction. Oh and it gives a wonderful dog a wonderful home, that as well.
@Eddy Jin What a brave little Jew you are. It is so easy to say that when you know that USA only does this to countries that can never bomb it back. But unfortunately for you, God is real, and he sees you, and there will be justice in the end.
Soldiers bringing back their rescued dogs from war- it's moving that it happens despite the odds. I'm sure the military wouldn't be cooperative about it. All soldiers who have adopted dogs over there should be able to bring them home. I can't imagine going through a war and then having to leave your best friend behind. The pain of abandoning them and not knowing their fate would haunt me. But to bring them home, to have them as constant support and love would make the wounds of war so much easier to bear. I believe it could reduce the impact of PTSD and the risk of suicide. 💖
All the treatment by doctors and whoever would NEVER touch the healing of a friend who gives you peace of mind after enduring something that may never leave an individual. Why would the military want to cause more mental pain,it's just wrong.
I wish every dog out there would have a chance to be loved and taken care of like that. Breaks my heart knowing all the suffering they must go through 😣😭
c a r o l i n a - Check out Nowzad. It's a charity set up by a former Royal Marine (Brit) that has a sanctuary in Kabul. It started off when he fell in love with a dog while he was on tour in Afghan (much like the guy in the video) and wanted to bring him home. Realising other troops were in the same position, he set up the charity to help others get their dogs home. However, after seeing how bad animal welfare was out there, he built a clinic in Kabul to help the locals look after their animals. It employs local Afghanis, trains them in veterinary medicine & nursing, and educates people on how to look after their animals safely. They also run a sanctuary side, where they take in abused/homeless animals, rehabilitate them, and find them loving homes - both in Afghanistan and around the world. Well worth a nosey if you'd like to see just how people are trying to make changes for the better out there :) x
@Pavan Kumar dont be a hypocrite. human beings need love and respect too, but apparently its more humane loving animals than our human neighbors. geez what strange times we livd in

Nothing like a Marine. Especially the four legged type. Thanks dude, not just for Fred, but your service to this country. It most definitely means a lot to me.
WHAT SERVICE?!!! WHAT WERE THEY DOING IN THEIR COUNTRY?!! THEY INVADED THEIR COUNTRY AS YOUR GOVERNMENT ALWAYS DO. YOUR GOVERNMENT KILL, DESTROY AND STEAL. THE U.S AND THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENTS ARE THE REAL TERRORISTS IN THIS WORLD.
All to often the general public forgets or oversees that there are animals in combat zones that deserve rescuing. Thank you to all who serve for our freedom and take on the task of rescuing these beautiful souls! 🙏🏻💗☮️🤙🏻
Jennifer A I believe that there is some1 out there for all of us. It may take time to find the right person or being. With faith and patience, it will happen. I've actually only really loved 1 girl. Unfortunately, we are no longer together. But it was the happiest time of my life. :-)
You will find someone when you least expect it. Trust me he is out there! That's how it happened for me. I wasn't hoping or expecting it and then boom now 9 years later we are still together.
Eh, just concentrate on yourself and get a dog! Dogs are completely selfless - they just love you and want to be loved back. They don't complain or pout or have a hissy fit, they're just happy to be with you. You will never find a human that gives you as much unconditional love as a dog.
You will! Just follow your path - the one that makes you happy /satisfied- and your partner will appear. It may take some time, but keep being authentic and positive-say yes to more opportunities- and doors will open!
Amen! Glad you found each other. Thank you for your service both to our country and extending your serving heart to make a difference for this dog. Wishing you both health, love and joy!
My parents are from Afghanistan. And I’m so glad that you rescued that dog in a very harsh environment. Normally people in Afghanistan don’t care about dogs.
Puppies, and kitties, have a way of finding us and rescuing us when we least expect it or even know we need rescued. Fred, you are a blessing and I hope you and your human have the best life ever.
This is nothing short of amazing, brought tears to my eyes! He said "now Fred doesn't let me have a down day" and I am wondering if every soldier in combat returned home with a lost puppy like Fred.... many would not suffer from PTSD right?
Such a beautiful relationship almost seems like a miracle, especially coming from such a terrible situation and environment. Fred and Craig are blessed to have this new life together as family.
