Hey guys! Since majority of votes wanted me to make another AoE2 build, i decided to make the stables building that matches the previous two builds. Hope you like it!

For shingles, if you want an easier way to mass produce them. Getting a paper cutter guillotine type would work very well to make rather quick work if you keep it sharp.

I use thin wooden veneer, cut it into long strips across the grain, and stack all my strips in a vice.
This is to do the next steps in a batch.
Then I saw many cuts along the grain, to get the shingles, but I don't cut all the way through.
You can file some sections shorter to get shingle variations.
I then have shingle strips that are fast and easy to lay.
      Hope it makes sense.

I put this in a answer, but I wanted you to see it,and I think it's better if I make a new comment. It's my way of making shingles.

To put the strips in the vice, have then hanging out to the side, cut, and move then further out, and turn them around when you get half way.
This is not so easy to explain in text, but ask if you have questions! :)

yeah i totally get what you mean. using veener makes sense tbh. i could do a simiar thing out of thin balsa strips aswell but i always intended to stay on the cheaper sife of things when it comes to what i make in the channel. half of what i do is made of or mainly made with cardboard 😝 and i dont even have a big enough vice on my bench 😏
BUT, its a good thing you shared your method here, it would be useful to other people for sure!

@@VivalaCaffeine Yeah, I totally get the prize concern. I think the veneer I used was from a dollar store notice board or something. I forget what exactly, but when you spot the right stuff you can get it for next to nothing. Balsa might work too, although a bit soft for the method. Wonder how cardboard or stock would hold up..
