I have a very traditional home. (Wood paneling, cornice molding, non open plan etc. ) it’s a family home. Previous owners built it over thirty years ago and raised his four daughters in it, now we are raising our four daughters here. When we walked in the first time it felt very elegant (the finishing a were top notch), but the floor plan just felt homey as well. I could not imagine doing anything other than red green and white/ gold/ or silver and traditional here. (Even if I wanted to-which I don’t. ) our style matches the home. We’ve done some cosmetic updates, but nothing too major. We still have all the original wood walnut trim, and dark wood flooring. I’ve considered painting the wood trim b/c it can be very dark, but it does match with the traditional feel of the home. If I tried to go with other colors than traditional here, it would look VERY strange. My neighbor has a totally different style of home, and has also updated everything to whites and grays. She goes with a Nantucket beach vibe for Christmas and it works for her home-blues and teals and whites on her flocked trees. If either of us ever tried to swap holiday decor styles it would end in total disaster. 😂
Absolutely love how everything turned out. The pink tree is fire…love it!!! My choice for Christmas decor will be traditional. However, this year I’m doing hunter green, brown and tan…the trendy velvet ornaments. In my family room. In master will be traditional. My 20 yr old daughter did her room tree pink, gold and white. A lil of everything. Can’t wait to meet the boy boy ❤

I also like to decorate our house in traditional colors of red, white and green. Also with a large pyramid and candle arch from the Ore Mountains. I’m definitely traditional when it comes to Christmas decor. Red, green, white, gold and silver are my go too colors. I’m also German decent so that’s a must regardless for me lol (Christmas trees are a German cultural thing most people don’t know that) 😊❤️

I really don't have a theme for her room I'm just using left over decor because buying more decor is not in the budget. Recording a Christmas morning routine and just adding her room in it because I'm just adding a tree in her room
