You are always welcomed here! If I was a President I would even make German second official language in the Memelland area, honestly, but unfortunately for now there's only a school for german-speakers as for today. There are plenty of Germans tourists here though, many signs and memorials are translated to German too! Unfortunately my German is very simple as for now, so I am replying in English, but you get the point! Viel Liebe aus Litauen!

While WW2 made great damage to the city, there is still an Old Town and some things like St.Johann Lutheran Church is being rebuils as original. Also there smaller cities in former East Prussia like my hometown Heydekrug/Šilutė or Rus/Rusnė which were less affected by WW2 and Soviets like Konigsberg/Kaliningrad, and as beautiful as ever. I invite everyone to come here and rediscover Prussian past.
