I love how you genuinely keep imbibing the same things into all of our heads to use the knowledge correctly
I like that this guy is trying to get people interested in options. They are difficult and nuanced and for that reason, he has to really oversimplify the information.
I found this channel for a reason. Thank you Henry. This will help me make 6 figures this year.
Just do atm verticals for a double up
Uncle Henry for president! Thanks for sharing option trading lecture.
Henry, you're a total pro! Thank you for a wealth of information. Great Video. What's your analysis on TSLA?
Henry is the man!!!
Could also, sell some calls to lower your break even through the duration of the long option.
But does require some active management. Solid video man, keep the content coming!
This assumes that the stock will be up over 50% (in this example, $40 to $62) by expiry. However, the video also talked about how beating the market (7-8%) is really good. While this shows how one can theoretically make 2x his money, I'm not sure if it's all that practical. It seems like a good approach for someone who is bullish on a stock and doesn't apply to all market conditions. Right now, everything is generally bullish, but we don't know what will happen within a year...
Also the TSLA example in the beginning was a bit misleading... I'm not completely sure that it was merely $10 to buy a call at $700 strike price... An illustrate example that was greatly exaggerated...
@Fleet glad you bring this up. This video like many others is misleading and I highlighted myself 2 misconceptions in my recent comment about what he said in this video. It is very dangerous for the novice retail trader to follow his advice. How many people rushed to buy ATM calls on NIO after this video? If at least he would have mentioned to sell a higher call to offset Vega and the ridiculous premium you pay on NIO but perhaps this is a subject for another video for additional views and ad revenue from Google.
@@MrScalius The price collapsed!
Ok, towards the end...if I buy the 2 contracts at $60 , how much would I profit? That's when I get confused... sorry, still learning..lol. Great job
First of all, I'm sorry for my English but I heard about LEAP Options DITM is it better? For example NIO, How is 22.50 SEP17/22? Thank You
The way you explain these concepts are awesome! I began buying LEAPS on ETFs about 2 months ago. I am trying to grow my account .... your Wheel Strategy videos are very interesting, but if I am interested in growth over income I assume LEAPS would be superior.... Do you agree? Thank you for your response
Thx Henry, great and informative video! Just learning options so forgive me. Is the strike price the price you are betting it goes up to? Or when it hits that you can redeem/take profit? So much to learn. Thx!
OMG Henry, all my options i bought yesterday are down like 25-30% today! im feeling stupid, i need to feel stupid rich!
Leaps are kinda bullet proof, you just have to hold out, leaps are one option you can average down, carefully.
Well that's why in my private group I just sell options.
That's true. If you buy you should buy leaps
@@SolidworksUnlimited dang. I closed them all for a loss.
Interesting NIO is trading at $7.42 today May 2nd 2023 or 1/7 of when you recorded!!! Should've SOLD CALLs : )
Where's the follow up?
Hi Coach, Got a question ....New to Options !! Let us say I buy 100 Shares of NIO for 18$ approx by spending 1800$ ........ Today is Jan 1 ........ say if I # Sell CALL at the 20$ SP For Jan 7th And Also Sell the 22$ SP or sometthing just little OOM for JAN 14th ........................ this way I dont have to OWN 200 Nos of Share at a time. Q1) Is it safe Q2) Any Pros and Corns that I have to be aware off !! Thanks Arun
I feel Bitcoin mining stocks are perfect for buying LEAPS as well as selling covered calls short term. I feel they have incredible long term upside but at times barely move but they do have volatility which means high premiums for the short term
Good stuff. Will finish later.
What happens at expiration if you are in the money and you don't exercise your option? Do you just get credited your winnings or how does that work?
I am so glad that I found this channel. Lots of valuable content. Thank you.
I have 2 apple leaps on Jan 21, 2022 at $150 call…
Do u think Apple is gonna keep tanking? I’m already down over $300 on the leap
What are the adjustments , if the market crash???
Anyone who bought Tesla leaps calls 5 months ago did really really well
This sounds all to good to be true, but what frightens me is , when I open a Iron condor or a strangle or straddle is when I open a sell put or call on one of the legs, won’t that leg get excised and I have to buy or sell and deliver the shares or buy the 2 sell contract shares, if it goes through the sell strike price but not enough through the other leg of the buy strike
Great explanation of leaps 👍🏾
Are options realistic on all stocks that have the ability on options? Would volume indicate if options are purchased on a stock? i would assume only indexes and "popular" stocks would have a market for options. How marketable are options on most stocks? is there like a rule of thumb?
What's your advise on profit taking, particularly on LEAP Options? Coz the duration is so long. Do you have any range of percentages, as a rule for profit taking? Thank you.
i like your videos please keep making them
You explained everything so nicely bro! Do you recommend options for new investors? Only 5months in the market and already portfolio down 20% :(
I know that htis vid is from 2021, would you still consider this vid during 2024 during this time of year? thanks uncle henry.
You described "delta" as the percentage chance of success in the option, and I thought it was the amount the stock price will change for every $1 move in the underlying stock.(what did I miss, LOL)
It's both!
i live in uk so carnt get robinhood can i use something else which has the same options and premiums etc?
#2 fully grown 😀
Lol top tier
Like to ask?
Is there a Daily interest to be funded with Options same as Margin Trading?
I think not am i correct?
Arigato
@@lewishowes2784 cannot reach you there maybe number is wrong
I'm buying corsair leaps and palantir, you know those 2 are going to 3x in a year
Pltr is just happy where its at.
SCAMMER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crsr and pltr did poorly in 2021
If you buy these ITM calls can you still sell shorter term calls as a PMCC?
Another good video!👍
Henry, how do you manage your risk with leaps?
Hi Henry, not to do with stocks, but what course of study in finance would you recommend a teenager to follow in to make bank. Asking for my daughter.
I would not recommend finance at all. If you want to have a discussion on this and what I wish I knew before going to college we can arrange a quick call over Instagram
Studying finance does not make you bank. Plenty of broke finance students making 60k
@@InvestwithHenry what course of education would you recommend then. Thank you for all your material you provode your audience with.
Idk if anybody said anything but delta is how much premium the option gains or loses when the stock moves. Not probability percentage. The delta goes higher the deeper in the money the stock goes. Just was throwing me off in the video when you kept saying 50% chance and 65% chance.
#3 , Henry, are you still bullish on NIO?
Video tomorrow!
@@InvestwithHenrypls share tomorrow video about your thought of if NIO can re test $55 by Sept? Or it will go sideway from now for the rest of 2021. Many good news but price drop 😥
Nice work as usual Henry :-)
6:21 “Price came down almost 10 percent so it is a good time to buy call option”. What? Vega… someone? I understand there is a pullback in price so it is a better entry than buying high but that is only true if the stock is in uptrend. Coming back to Vega… After such a down move the premium is jacked up so your call is more expensive than in lower volatility. After a big move like this, when price goes up you normally get some volatility decrease. It is not as severe as a vol crush after earnings but your call may actually lose money even if the price goes up! If you are bullish on the stock then you are actually better to sell premium than buy premium. Another misconception is around the 14:00 minute with delta. The delta is no indication of your POP (probability of profit) but rather of your option to be in the money by a penny. If you buy your option at 10$ then you can lose it all even if your option is successful by being one penny in the money.
How do we hedge against the risk of time decay of call options?
By watching my videos on covered calls, selling puts and iron condors
When you buy leap calls... You can sell before the expiration date correct?
Yes...
Yes
Hey Henry, enjoying and learning from your content this is a strategy I intend to use soon. Can you speak on if we really would like to own the underlying stock. Can I have the cake and eat it too. 😁👍🏿 Thank you.
Yeah you for sure can!
Where you getting Tesla options for $1,000 😂 just found your channel man, great content!
Thank you! Tesla calls go out past 1000 hahah
If you can 2x your money why your are not all in in one play? Ridiculous titles
Yes sir
Why not recommend deep in the money leaps with .80 or .90 delta?
Or parts of the shares5
I think part of the problem with getting the results is that it’s difficult to be fully invested.
Hey Henry, what about the china FUD?
Its a year later and NIO is $12. Guess that was an unlucky idea.
Yeah and Henry should follow up with how this was managed in the end.
But NIO tanked. What happens then? 🤔
Do you ever sell a covered call on a stock you own and sell a put on the same stock but, a lower strike price. Maybe 10 dollars lower than the call?
just made a video on that
@@InvestwithHenry Thanks Henry. Just found your channel and trying to learn as much as possible.
Think you and Adam should collab
I'd be down I've seen some of his vidoes
song at 18:33 ?
So where is NIO now?
Using Stage Analysis by Weinstein you would see a stage 4 decline and you would not have even bothered. Henry has a good strategy but needs 20 years of experience to see all the market conditions and adapt appropriately.
Sell high buy low
? x $ x100x? Margin
One year later, Tesla is now worth $140 instead of $1400... Doh!
It splits (did you know about the split 4?)
Let's say 100$ wotlrh of a share ylthen x margin
#1 babyyy
Woohoo!
nio is at 19.66 Dollar right now ! 😂
I would like some videos that don’t explain the basics. Sick of sitting through that explanation for the 200th time. Just some good strategies or ideas would be great from someone
👍
Hey Henry, can you make a video about Million Token? It was launched 3 weeks ago by 1M suscribers yourtuber Tech Lead…. Already up 70X and HUGE potential 🦁🦁💎💎🍸🍸
This video didn't age well :|
welp hopefully you didnt buy this one 😂
Damn. Right now. NIO. it's at. 20$ right now
