I'm 62 and grew up to Sergio Mendez and Brazil 66. It brought tears of joy of the innocence and purity of the era and sadness of missing those days of youth and happiness and people's loosing their decency and of today's corruption. Thank you for bringing the wonderful music into my life. God bless
Couldn’t agree more … they exude a joy a pleasure that has completely disappeared now. Brought great joy to me to hear this again. Wonderful and thanks
I want to time travel 😩, I get so tired of the current era I live in. I was born in 1970, I adore and love nostalgia ❤. I am retro and have extreme adoration for the counter culture of the 1960's. I escape through music and movies, and various other platforms. I feel life was simple and easier to understand. I long for this to return, but I have come to the realization it never will.
Queen B im a 60s person , i will adore its music and culture until eternity ,,Clothes , hair styles , make up shoes a great figure were all available , its music was so diverse , what a choice we had ,,, i do believe with all my heart and soul life is what you make it ....i feel Time travel is given to us from You Tube ,,,, And memories xx kind regards xx Jane xx
@@oughtonoughton2634 I thank you so much for your response and insight. I do frequent You Tube alot, so that I can escape 😆. I do adore the 60's and 70's. I am planning, when things are calm again, to visit Asbury and Haight in Sanfrancisco. I want to visit the consignment shops, the art displays, and library. I love the books, music, and movies. I am 61. When I was 4 or 5 I learned how to used my parents stereo. I learned of my love of music also, and I would play my Dad's records one right after another. Burt Bacharach and Sergio Mendes & Brazil '66 were my favorites. When I listen to the songs now it brings back really wonderful memories of when I was a kid...
My mother introduced me to Brasil '66 when I was about 5. She loved Sergio's music and played it constantly. I practically grew up on it. The sound was pure, innocent and inspiring. Thank you Brasil for decades of music that will live on and R.I.P. Sergio Mendes, thank you for bringing your unique sound to our world.
When I hear this song, I was 18, my girlfriend Jan was 17, and we just started going out, in chicago, she lived down the street from me. I had a 1962 grand prix, it was a great time, we been married 49 years now.
So true what you said, and i miss those years. Now we living in a evil time. That's why I'm so happy that we have this music. When i listen to this music it brings peace and love in my heart. I am now 64 years old and i really miss those years. ❤
This is the song that introduced me to Sergio Mendes' music in '68 at the age of 11 and have been a fan ever since. Rest in peace and thanks for all the great music.

Simple: this is because it was good music. Today, much of what passes for contemporary music sounds much like a washing machine going through its paces. Confucius, the ancient Chinese sage may have been correct. He said you can tell what shape the culture is in by the music they play.
I'm 66 and listened to these Brazil 66 songs on my hand-held transistor radio while riding my bike in the country. School was out and summer vacation.. and felt totally free ...this music brings back those pleasant memories. Great time to be a kid!
I’ve been fortunate to have seen the great Sergio Mendes and Brazil ‘66 three times in concert over the years. I think Lani Hall has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. She is magnificent.
Ah, when music was music! Not like the screamers and shouters of today. We owe a deep debt of gratitude to Sergio Mendes and his contributions to the music world.

The album was "Fool on the Hill".
